Royal Emeraude (Dinard, Brittany) 1 Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"With a name that promises nothing less than grandeur on the Emerald Coast, the stately Royal Émeraude Dinard doesn’t disappoint — this 1876 brick-and-stone mansion is in some ways a throwback to the golden era of French seaside hospitality, before the advent of jet travel and mass tourism. Though its interiors have been refreshed, it’s not hard to imagine it as the setting of a turn-of-the-century detective novel along Agatha Christie lines. Among the public offerings are a piano bar modeled after a British club and a locally sourced breakfast served in the hotel’s conservatory." - Tablet Hotels

Excellent staff in reception and a warm welcome in the restaurant/bar. Taxi was booked for us. Satisfactory food. Milk offered on request for tea in room. Good to have coffee capsules in room. Clean room, still a bit small for price. Great provision of toiletries.

From the moment we arrived at the Royal Emeraude MGallery in Dinard, we felt genuinely cared for in a way that went far beyond typical hospitality. The team here doesn’t just offer great service — they offer thoughtful, personalized attention that makes guests feel truly valued.||||We were in Dinard for a business trip, and traveling can sometimes feel hectic — but not here. Every staff member we encountered was warm, attentive, and intuitive including the General Manager, Marc Scognamiglio. Whether it was remembering our morning coffee preferences, assisting with local recommendations, or ensuring we had everything needed for a smooth stay, the team truly went above and beyond.||||The hotel itself is beautifully styled, with elegant nods to the golden age of travel, and every space feels curated and calm. Our rooms were impeccably clean and peaceful, with thoughtful details — from plush bedding to high-end toiletries — that made a real difference.||||What stood out most was the genuine kindness. ||To the entire team at MGallery Dinard: thank you for your warmth, professionalism, and for making us feel so well taken care of. We wouldn’t hesitate to return — and will be recommending this lovely hotel to anyone heading to the region.

Fabulous and well located traditional hotel with views down to the beach from some of the rooms. Staff were extremely helpful and we received a warm welcome on arrival and service levels were high throughout our stay. We had reserved a car-parking space (an extra cost but a must) and were directed to a covered building on the opposite side of the building to the entrance. We had booked the a suite and requested a balcony. We were in Room 210 on the second floor, the room had been beautifully decorated to a theme of an ocean-liner with comfortable chairs, a desk area and separate bathroom with gorgeous Clarins products and then a large bay window giving lots of light and access to the balcony with a couple of steamer chairs with views over the beach, sea beyond with the landmarks of Fort du Petit Bé and Grand Bé. A lovely place to sit, relax and watch the world go by below. Rooms also had a kettle, a coffee machine, and some water. Breakfast had an extensive selection of continental and cooked food served in the glass atrium on the ground floor. Again Staff were friendly and attentive while we were there. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and look forward to a return visit.

Very nice hotel, slightly pricey but paying for location. Staff very friendly - no complaints and would recommend for older couples. Clarins products are a nice addition

The first thing that hit me when we entered the room as the unbelievable amount of perfume in the air. I opened the window, which provided some fresh air, but since we were on a busy street this was not a long term solution. We went down to the front desk and told them about our problem and their solution was to open the window. When I told them this was not a solution, their response was " We gave you a solution". Thankfully we were on a tour with others staying at another hotel and were able to swap.||I have asthma and the odor in the room and lobby sent me into an asthma attack. Be warned if you have any allergies to perfume not to stay here.
