Positive: Hotel was near the high facing a main road.Nearby restaurants. Yummy Mexican next door. Area seemed safe. Negative: Road noise. I would request a backside room. My room 242 had a huge door gap.

Family owned bargain stay that has big rooms with up to 3 beds. Very clean and comfortable with icy A/C.

Be aware of Coral, the owner. She's honestly a very kind woman until money is involved, then she's a shark. I prepaid for three nights while my daughter was in the hospital. A few hours after I checked in I was told I was actually able to stay in the room with my daughter and my dog in the hospital. So I asked Coral for my money back. She said she could return only two nights and that seemed fair. I went and cleared out my room which of course I never used other than to wash my hands. When I went to check out I asked if she could return the pet fee and she absolutely refused. She ended up charging me $120 for a room I never used. The original fee was $68/night. It felt terrible being screwed over by this smiley friendly woman. The nicer hotels in town that offer a free hot breakfast are less than this rundown place. Coral if you're reading this, you should be ashamed of yourself!

I've stayed at (couldn't even guess the number) so many small owned hotel/motels that they've all just kinda blended together. This is hands down one I will remember, the owner is amazing and the rooms and the whole location fit my needs perfectly. Theirs really nothing more I could ask for. The big fancy places have theirs perks and all. But speaking with the owner here made a big impact on my whole trip. Super friendly and just real to who she is. I'm super happy I decided to stay here. If your looking for a bunch of non sense that most people don't use anyways then this isn't the place for you. But if your looking for a comfortable spot where the owner and her family actually care and will do what they can for you, then this it. This place should be an example/standard everywhere. I hope whoever reads this, knows that a man from Oklahoma. Who has stayed at literally the most expensive room you could possibly think of as suite in multiple states, but also in places that were basically a cot in a room. I truly wish I could find more places like this. But, come with an open mind and actually wanting to speak with someone who cares. My opinion is nothing to others, but I will do my best to stay here for any reason in the future.

During a recent trip to Arizona, I had the unexpected pleasure of staying at the Royal Host Motel in Las Cruces, NM. I hadn't booked a room in advance, a decision that seemed regrettable as I was turned away by over half a dozen other motels, all of which were fully booked. Close to midnight and prepared to spend the night in my truck, I stopped by the Royal Host Motel purely by chance, after finding no luck at the inn next door. The office lights were on, but the door was locked, and no one appeared to be inside. Resigned to my fate, I was ready to settle in my truck when the motel owner approached me. She explained that she had been assisting another guest, hence her absence from the office. This gesture of approaching my truck and offering assistance was my first indication of the exceptional service that defines the Royal Host Motel. We exchanged pleasantries during check-in, discovering a mutual connection to the Texas Gulf Coast, which added a personal touch to the experience. The room itself was a pleasant surprise: meticulously clean and well-maintained, stocked with all the essentials. It was evident that the owners take great pride in their establishment. As some other reviewers have mentioned, the room's A/C was off when I arrived. However, even on a hot June night, this did not pose a significant issue. I turned it on, took a refreshing shower, and by the time I was ready for bed, the room had cooled down considerably. Overall, the Royal Host Motel exceeded my expectations. The owner's hospitality and the care put into maintaining the rooms made my stay comfortable and enjoyable. It's a place where I would feel safe staying with my family, and I would not hesitate to stay here again. If you're passing through Las Cruces and need a place to stay, the Royal Host Motel is a gem worth considering.

This no-frills motel sits on what was a main highway before the Interstates arrived. As such, it's a bit dated but so clean we couldn't even find a speck of dust in the corners. Given that the pleasant manager counted the towels provided and warned us that we would be charged if any went missing, we were surprised to find them so worn but pleased that they included washcloths. We were also impressed by the full-size microwave and apartment-sized (not mini bar) refrigerator and the cellphone charging station by the bed. One piece of advice: If you pay by credit card, you can avoid being charged the $250 damage fee. Granted, it's refundable, but still it's something of an insult. Oh, and for "long-term stays," meaning two or more night, you'll have to make up your own room.
