Nice and cozy double room. The hotel was recently renovated so I could feel the new vibe in the air. Public transportation is not far away, kebab and fast food very close.

For the price to location ratio, you can't do much better. As far as the "lobby" / check-in window, this is not a place to impress your business clients. Car traffic is very light, but there can be lively pedestrian sounds at nearby bars and cafes ... The noise and times are reasonable; it was not past midnight. The showers have great pressure and temp, the bed is cozy, wifi works well, and there's a little refrigerator. There's a wonderful park in one direction and a gateway to the river and old city center highlights in the other direction. Super strategic walkable location.

Great place. Quiet, extremely walkable, and service was excellent. Less than 5min walk to a variety of restaurants and coffee, 10min to bakeries and bars, and 15min walk to old town and even more restaurants. Plus there’s a lovely neighborhood bar right across the street.

Very nice hotel! Modern and comfortable. Location is very good - just in the middle of the old city. You can walk to the museum’s, shops, restaurants and bars just in some minutes. Receptionist is very friendly and helpful!

Probably the worst experience ever I made in my life in a hotel. The only advantage or positive thing is the position of this hotel, but you should forget about the rest. No air conditioning in the rooms, very poor breakfast option/service and rooms are not 100% clean. I booked the hotel a little bit on delay for our visit to the Eurobike exhibition, but the price was not fair at all. If you can find a better location, I won't definitely recommend this hotel.

Room was very tight to move around in. Husband kept bumping into furniture. Our main complaint was that the room key did not work properly so made entering and exiting the room a stressful experience. The noise from the street outside was also very loud during the night. I think the music and shouting was from a nearby bar. Sounded like glasses smashing as well. The staff are amiable and the location is convenient for exploring the area. Though be aware there is a ton of broken glass on several of the surrounding streets and some dubious characters hanging about. Ice cream shop and playgrounds nearby.

Spent 2 nights in this hotel and was delighted to find everything we needed in our room . The bathroom was nice , the bed was comfortable, it had a safe , cupboard space for our luggage, a fan and it had a little fridge as well . The room was modern as I believe they have just renovated. The staff were absolutely wonderful and more than happy to help with anything we needed. Best of all they always done it with a smile. It was in a nice area with many good places to eat and have a drink. For the service and comfort we had the price was great . My wife and I are on our honeymoon and have stayed in a few places around Germany but this one was by far the best we have found for friendly and helpful staff. I highly recommend for the price .

I have stayed at this hotel 3 times so far as I like the very convenient location in the middle of historic Sachsenhausen, and also the river and the Roemer. I also appreciate the hotel's good service, and having staff on duty 24/7. Making the reservation was also very easy by contacting the hotel directly via e-mail. The rooms are small, but it was adequate for my need since I mainly went there to sleep at night. Beds are very comfortable and all was very clean. I always ask for room in the back of the building to avoid the street noise. Breakfast is always good and fresh. - Important: Try to avoid the "Messe" period when going to Frankfurt, as all rooms (not just in this hotel) can double or even triple in price, due to the demand. I gave it a four star rating as rooms are small and parking is difficult, but otherwise I have no complaints. I hope this review is helpful.

Yelp
Hotel Royal is more or less nicely situated in a neighbourhood called Sachsenhausen to which you can easily walk in about ten minutes. There are a few bars in the street of the hotel but for more happening you have to walk to the center of Sachsenhausen (near Schweizerstrasse and Schweizerplatz). Also the subway is not too far away. The hotel itself is basic but clean and comfortable. The hotel has a private parking for which you have to pay extra. For a very reasonable (cheap) price you get a good bed, a small room, a good breakfast. It is functional, it is OK. Not more, not less. They provide free wifi and this seems to be exceptional in Frankfurt/Germany. Just ask for the code. (they call it WLAN in Germany).
