I very much enjoyed my visit. Maybe not so much my photography.
Being alone this evening, and away from my curry loathing wife for a few days, I took a chance on this joint for dinner. Parked directly out the front - score!
The suggested dish was butter chicken, that I politely declined - not a big fan of it, and I like a bit of heat. Lamb Rogan Josh with a Garlic naan. Seated quickly by a polite and well dressed lady.
The naan was one of the best I've experienced. Garlic was nuanced instead of being slathered on, with a beautiful crisp and puffy texture - and just the right amount of char. The Rogan Josh was interesting - I've never eaten one cut with coconut cream before. But, it worked - absolutely delicious.
Spices were bloomed with a sufficient amount of oil (too little and they don't bloom or burn entirely, too much and the dish will appear like the Exxon Valdez crashed into it) - this was perfect. Lamb was tender but not falling apart - big tick there.
The dish arrived very quickly - not typical for local Indian outlets. All up it was $29 that I found value in.
