We came here because we developed disdain towards Builders Arms for removing Chilli Mussels from their menu (petulant, I know). Royal Oak generally has better food, compliments to their chef, the food is always crisp, hot and unique flavours, plus other cliché foody adjectives.
Some recommendations I'd like to share with the establishment.
- Consider adding a staple cheeseburger?
- Fill the chilli mussel void that Builders Arms has created
- Turn offf the chandelier-esque light from the restaurant ceiling, and replace with (more) perimeter low lighting.
- maybe a long red rug in the dining room to link the space
