Easy to find with good parking nearby (when the railway carpark is properly open again).|Tidy, quiet and neat, very friendly front of house staff on the desk, late porter the same, all good so far. |The hotel is about a five/ten minute walk form the town depending on age, speed and urgency, so it's absolutely great for shows, pubs and nearby restaurants and is visible from the station (more or less) so dead easy to find. |There's Sainsburys local literally in the same building was very handy for those last minute nibbles.||The room, quite a walk from the front door, but that's the way these things are in older buildings, It was tidy and with a decent stock of tea, coffee, hot chocolate and a few biscuits, the bed was a generous 6/10 for comfort, certainly sleep-able but could be softer. The bathroom was... Ah... Ok... Yeah... Exciting....||The shower (wall mounted above the bath-tub) came on fast and sprayed water all over the place, up the wall, over the window blind and on the floor, then I discovered the splash-door for the shower won't actually open past the taps, leaving excess shower spray to saturate the floor/towels etc. the water was hot then cold then hot... Minor complaints. the bathroom was clean certainly. I found it odd that the bathroom vanity unit light could only be used when the bathroom main light was also on, bit of a dazzling blinder at 3am, when a low light would be more fit for purpose.||The hotel does not provide breakfast. Although we did not make us of it, the restaurant literally next door to the hotel does do breakfast.||Will we visit again ? If we we're in Oxford, certainly yes.
