"Situated in Lapad, Royal Palm Hotel is a more affordable five-star option where rooms can feel a bit dated in carpet and décor but are spacious, airy, and many offer gorgeous ocean views; rooms include a TV, electric kettle, desk, minibar, and convenient outlets near the bed. The bathrooms are large and bright with stylish tile or marble, bathrobes, and complimentary toiletries, and some even have deep soaking tubs. The complimentary breakfast buffet has plenty of variety (including an egg station, mimosas, and fresh pastries), and there’s a relaxing spa, pool, and gym on site. The beach is nearby, and I especially like that the on-site terrace restaurant offers sweeping panoramic views of the Adriatic." - Matthew Kepnes

I feel like I need to counter negative reviews, we are loving this holiday. We upgraded to a sea view king room. The balcony view was stunning. It was a room we didn’t want to leave. Bed supremely comfortable, robes, slippers, coffee machine, and wife was pleased with upmarket products in the bathroom. Don’t see why people complained in other reviews. The breakfast was on par with what we experienced in high end hotels including on The Palm. Eggs Royale and Benedict were excellent. Barista made coffee if you wish. Perfect poached eggs. Croatians have style. The half board buffet had plenty of choice and the hotel does not skimp on food cost.(my wife was in hotel cost accounting so knows). Plus the lovely promenade walks to Lapad and then onto Dubrovnik. A wonderful place for a relaxing getaway.
