The hotel was organised by my husband so i didnt read the reviews until the day of travel so i was apprehensive about staying at this hotel, however, it was better than expected. The room was clean and in good decorative order. The staff at reception were friendly and spoke good english. The breakfast was plentiful and the food fresh. They had english breakfast tea as well. The location is good for the metro and the sightseeing bus. |Only two negatives, the towels were thin and crispy and the bar closed at 10pm.

I loved my stay. Whilst I agree possibly not 4 star, it's certainly much better that others have said. So what if there isn't tea/coffee making facilities, it's a base for exploring this fantastic city. Room was clean and comfortable.||Good bar, and breakfast really tasty with plenty of choice. ||Area around hotel was fine. Utter nonsense about it being like a homeless shelter. ||As for being out the way, these whingers obviously don't until public transport. Metro station near by. This city has fabulous and cheap public transport system.||I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

For the price it was just okay. The bar staff and breakfast staff were friendly :) For 8 euro the breakfast was good to start the day off. However, we were disappointed to have no tea making facilities in our room. You have to make it beside the reception desk in a plastic cup. The room wasn't great or very comfortable especially the bath which you'd need a ladder for, I'm young and I still struggled to climb into it. This is a huge health and safety concern! I'd worry if an elderly person or someone with mobility issues might slip!! The bed needs to be higher for comfort, not good enough for posture and we found hair on a pillowcase the first day as well as a string of hair coming from one of the hair dryers, otherwise the room was clean enough. Towels need to be bigger for showers and not a big fan of a see through bathroom for a family holiday...lucky there was a blind... The view from our room isn't the best, we could only see weeds in the garden and the window was dirty. Rooms aren't soundproof at all as we could hear neighbours in the AM talking very loudly... To conclude, for 200 odd quid for 4 nights the location wasn't bad and we were only in the hotel to sleep. If you're young adults on a budget it would be a good option to stay here, older folk however, would not recommend sorry :/

As we arrived on sunday 5/5/24. Outside the hotel was like a homeless shelter, no shops or anything open just be aware if arriving sunday. The guy on reception that night was a absolute waste off time. Also be prepared to pay a city tax and also €50 for a mini bar deposit. Asked about local amenities. To be told i dont know anything. ||||The room wasn't great at all the beds weren't comfortable at all. The homeless beds outside were more appealing. ||||The bathroom and shower weren't clean at all. And the towels were all hand towels. They were replaced daily. Bed were made and thats about it no cleaning done. Stains on shower looks very gruby. The shower was good after we cleaned it.||||Breakfast was good enough plenty of choice and friendly staff.||||Our second night i was offered sex had a women trying to take me into the disabled toilet at 1.30am not sure if it was a hotel worker or a local.||||There is nothing boutique about the hotel. Its about a mile and half away. From the river. All in all id avoid this place. Our stay was 5th may to the 9th. 4 sleepless nights.

Rooms clean enough although one day we didn't get it serviced. Bizarre that the hotel bar closed really quite early, before 10:30pm dspite there being guests in the bar area and staff present. Probably better options to be honest, although breakfast was v good to be fair.

Our daughter booked us a week at the Royal Park Hotel for our Christmas. The hotel is described as Boutique but it isn’t. There are no coffee facilities in the bedroom and our hairdryer did not work. Our bedding was stained. We were given a replacement hairdryer to use for the week we were here which is fine.||||However, as a female I do wear make up and fake tan and sadly this transferred onto one of the towels and I was subsequently advised I would be charged for this. In a twist of irony, the towels we were provided with the following morning after housekeeping (I use housekeeping loosely as they do not clean your room rather act as room police to see if anything is unusual or out of place) were in. We were left 5 hand-towels and no bath towels (I assume as a way to subtly slap us on the wrists) with one stained all over (stains by someone other than me). We asked for a bath towel and were given one also with stains. When we took this to reception we were informed that the ‘hotels position’ was to still charge us for the towels that I sadly got make up on despite us being given towels that were clearly stained, a complete contradiction. So in effect it is a chargeable offence for us to dirty towels but perfectly acceptable for he hotel to give dirty towels and bed lining. This has dampened what has been an otherwise lovely stay in Budapest in a hotel we 100% would not come back to or recommend to anyone. ||||Despite housekeeping coming in daily, our beds have not been changed, used glasses have not been removed or the bathroom cleaned. They do however kindly fold our dirty bed sheets in an apparent attempt to make the room look tidied. ||||My husband and I are frequent travellers and love nothing more than embracing new cultures, cities and countries, but this has left a sour taste. It’s not the worst thing to happen in a hotel, but certainly the most petty. ||||There is no luxury to this hotel and the furthest point from boutique.

We enjoyed stayed at this hotel as have excellent location near KELETI train station, only about 100meter away. We can travel to major cities in Europe from this station and do not have to get any public transport. The breakfast cost only 8 euro whereas the same breakfast will be more than 15 euro or more. You can also book hotel with breakfast inclusive. I like this hotel very much and will definitely stay there again when I go back to Budapest.

Easy location - especially if you need to get a local train or train that goes to nearby countries. Opposite a SPAR and nearby pharmacies, bakeries and fast food options. Walk 5-10 mins for better restaurants and cafes!
