Calm stay location with polite staff. Surprisingly good cooking. The chef was passionate and cooked a brilliant custom meal for us. The mushroom soup was to die for. Well maintained garden that will tempt you to take pictures. Not too fancy but comfortable and adequate for family and couples

The ambience was good. However the restaurant was not as good as expected. There was this smoke feeling coming as you sit in the table near the kitchen,which was very disturbing. Tried mixed fried rice, biriyani and chappathi/chilli chicken. The fried rice had just very few pieces of chicken,egg and beef,and the quantity of the same was less. Service was just average,as there was just 1 waiter and you have to wait long for order to be taken

This property is very neat and clean and location is very peaceful, very good garden area and valley view for photography and also nearby market area but food options in the restaurant of hotel is very limited however so many Food options are available nearby hotel. All outseeing locations are nearby. I will recommend everyone to stay here whenever they visit Munnar.

It’s not Royal Retreat … It’s Royal REGRET if you stay here. Location wise It’s best place to stay. However it’s far from city centre and the in house restaurant is not operational. While booking they might say which includes breakfast but you will get COCKROACH Tea, half baked dosa, stale food especially chutneys, half boiled eggs, count it, nothing good over here. Abhilash is the front desk person whom I approached for booking, his way of dealing good, but he is powerless to solve the issues in hotel.
