Really nice museum with interesting history to tell. It is recommended to go with a tour, so a guide is included, so you will know more about the history and you can ask questions! They put a lot of effort in this museum!

Great experience! I would recommend to go very early in the morning to avoid the sun and to be the first one to visit the museum.

Unexpectedly amazing. Probably the most complete archaeological museum I've ever been to. Storyline is very well done and items are kept on careful display. You will be amazed here. I do hope the museum will translate more of the information to English. It seemed they stopped doing that somewhere halfway, which is a shame!

Excellent museum. Make sure to put personal belongings in locker as they do not allow large bags. Pay for a guide or you will not get the full experience. A must see in peru. I was lucky enough to be there for thier 35 year anniversary today.

Beautiful museum, with amazing exhibits, really enjoyed, paid extra for a guided tour, but unfortunately the English speaking guide, spoke hardly any English. Very few of the exhibits had English explanations. But I still enjoyed my time here

Main part was closed January 2024 but the parts that were open were interesting. Need more information on timescale of closure.

The museum collection is breathtaking and it takes the visitors right into the Mochica culture and civilization. It is presented in a compelling and intelligent way so visitors can truly appreciate the abundance of the findings and the intricate details of each of the objects. The fact that all of these artifacts were all found on one single site just defies the imagination. Many thanks to our guide who made the Museum really come alive for us. My advice is to arrive at opening time, so you can really enjoy the visit it will get crowded around 10 or 10:30 am
