"Golf 18-Holes in Provo The only golf course in Turks and Caicos, the Provo Golf and Country Club opened in 1992. When it constructed, the builders called the site "Alcatraz" because creating a golf course on bare rock was as difficult as doing hard time. Today the course is a symbol of island ingenuity and popular with locals and visitors for its green grassy fairways and stunning sea views. The par-72 course was deigned by Florida's Karl Litton and sites on 12 acres of inland lakes and marshes that are now home to a flamingo flock (flamingos are native to these islands), a decent heron population and plenty of other tropical birds and small animals, all of which can regularly be seen while playing. The course is easy on the eyes with hibiscus and oleander and more than 4,500 palm trees provide shade, as well as acting as wind breaks and hazards. Favorite holes include 12, 13, and 14, which are particularly scenic to play. After a day playing golf, grab a meal at Fairways, which does such good food that it attracts even non-golfers to the club for a bite."

Very well maintained fairways and greens. It’s a fair course with most trouble off the tee. Plenty of sand (mostly waste areas) and water. Friendly staff. It’s somewhat pricey. Expect high handicappers to slow play. Overall, a great golf experience

We had a really fun outing on the course. First the online portal wouldn’t let me book as a solo, however when emailed they assisted me in booking right away. I also had my wife as a rider and they didn’t charge me at all for her so that was very nice. The grounds have a hitting net with free range balls, a chipping green and putting green. The clubhouse is very nice as well. They had a drink cart driving around which we visited a few times. The final price for club rental and the round was about $225-250. The clubs weren’t the newest titleist clubs on the market but they were newer-ish. The carts are equipped with digital screens with each hole and distance to the green which was nice since we didn’t bring a range finder. You get 6 balls for 18 holes which I’d recommend bringing some more. Buying a sleeve of 3 balls was $24 and a glove was $32. They did have second hand balls which were 2/$5 which was nice compared to a sleeve for $25. The new balls for sale are stamped with the course logo so that is nice at least. At the end of our round of 18 they weren’t busy so they told us to keep going for free. We ended up playing 27 but I think they would’ve let us play 54 holes if we wanted to. They just told us over and over to keep going. I only took off 1 star because the bunkers weren’t very nice. They were rocky and I pulled out of them to avoid damaging the golf club rentals. Otherwise we had a lot of fun on the day.

Really fun course to play! Lots of challenging shots to work with, especially with the winds. Greens were the best I’ve ever played on. Course workers were extremely friendly. Liked it so much we went back and played 9 more holes the next day!

Played 9 holes here. Was a fun and challenging course. Very well maintained. Rental clubs were a nice set but a sleeve of 3 balls is definitely not enough. Lots of water running alongside a few holes. I would buy or bring some extras before you head out to play. They also had a practice area for some warm up swings which was nice. We went out early in the morning and the pace of play was pretty good.

Nice simple course. The whites play pretty short. Pretty straight fairways. Ample water on the first three holes. Greens rolled smoothly and are forgiving. As you’d expect, the wind can play a big factor on your shots. Great rental clubs. Titelist t200 and t350’s. Scotty Cameron putter. Balls are $24 for a sleeve for Avx’s. Recommend bringing a few extra. Staff was super friendly and accommodating. There isn’t a driving range but they have a net setup to hit a few balls into.

I am here again! 🤗. I played golf and then I stayed at Number 19 to eat! They are having an event where the food is themed based on a country: today is Beijing. The food is amazing. I ate more than I was supposed to because it was that good. Everyone here is friendly. The staff is amazing. At the bar, Junrel and BZ are great bar tenders. Richie and Tyrese amazing at the pro shop. Everyone, including the manager, Patrice, is great and welcoming. They are a great team and seem to love what they do. I will definitely be back. 😉
