Royalton Blue Waters, An Autograph Collection All-Inclusive Resort

I got married here back in May of 2024 and my beginning experience was a mess. Selucia (part of the bridal planning team at the hotel) was very rude and unprofessional to me the bride. This was supposed to be a happy and stress free day for me. I had to involve management with tears in my eyes and request for her not to have any parts in the planning of my wedding and she still was allowed to. I feel like the most important and special day of my life would never be the same bc of such a mean hearted and unprofessional woman. My ceremony was great bc Ayana coordinated it (another staff member from the wedding planning team) and it was breathtaking I would honestly say the best party of my wedding. However, my reception was in an old, smelly and super large space that wasn’t cut out for my wedding guests as an alternative bc they thought it was going to rain and my original space request appeared to no longer be available. When I walked into the space I cried bc nothing I asked was done for my reception and Selucia was apart of it. Every time my husband and I think back on the amount of money spent for our wedding compared to the experience it was definitely unmatched. I would have never had my wedding here if I knew my experience would have been a nightmare like it was with Selucia. I don’t even have any good pics from my reception unfortunately bc the space my reception was held looked so bad. If I could do it again this is a good vacation spot but not for weddings. After countless calls to management months later we were offered a two day stay to come back and have a better experience.

- nice beach - great beach bar (it was closed after our second day due to low occupancy) - diamond club bartender was awesome - our bathtub had some issues - a staff member tried to rob my husband. She's a large woman with fake red hair, working in the store. Air for your floaties is free, she was demanding $10 per floatie... this was days after we had it done for free - this is the only place in Jamaica where there was a shortage of patties!! - concierge were okay... Jamaican hospitality isn't on the same level as DR or Mexico. No one really goes out of their way for you. - we walked the stretch of beach to go off the resort and felt safe. - the none bottled water tasted god awful. - the coffee and ice cream shop are a nice attempt, but fell short. - 45 minutes away from the airport

We spent 10 glorious days at the Royalton Blue Waters this summer. The hotel is modern, beautifully maintained, and filled with great amenities — from the gym my husband enjoyed daily to the lazy river and water park our kids couldn’t get enough of. There was truly something for everyone in our family of six to enjoy. The **staff was outstanding**! From **Bianca** at the main lobby bar, who knew us by name from day one, to **Brandon** at the waterfront sports bar, who made every drink with care and attention. The friendly servers made each dining experience a pleasure. But the **Vibe Team** truly stole the show! Their performances during Vibe Night and Jamaican Independence Day were absolutely incredible. **Picord** has “cementicated” himself in our hearts forever, and **Britine** had us at hello. ❤️ We loved, loved, *loved* our stay and can’t recommend this hotel enough. We recently spent five nights at Blue Water Resort. After nearly 15 hours of travel, we were exhausted upon arrival, but the staff welcomed us right away and the service at check-in was excellent.||Unfortunately, my first impression was dampened a bit when, immediately after checking in, I was approached by a salesperson offering a “90-minute” presentation the next morning. It was pitched as a quick breakfast and a free cabana in exchange for attending. Personally, I don’t think the arrival moment is the best time to approach guests with sales pitches—especially after long travel days. Someone from our group did attend, and it ended up lasting close to four hours. It was a high-pressure presentation about becoming a Royalton member for around $14,000, supposedly offering discounts at their resorts worldwide. He ultimately left without signing anything—and didn’t even get the promised cabana since he didn’t want to sign before reading the agreement. I was very glad I opted out.||While waiting for our room (about an hour and a half), we sat in the beautiful lobby—though it was quite hot since there didn’t seem to be much air conditioning. Once our room was ready, the view from our balcony completely won us over. It was stunning. The room itself was lovely, but we did notice some minor maintenance issues over time: the balcony door didn’t lock properly, there was a rough drywall patch in the bathroom, and the hot tub jets wouldn’t stay on. Small things, but surprising for a five-star resort.||We were supposed to have three bottles of in-room liquor, which arrived only after I asked twice. Our wristbands also had issues unlocking the door, and one door never worked at all, so we had to access our suite through the adjoining room. None of this ruined our trip, but again, not quite five-star quality.||Housekeeping was great—very thorough and responsive when one of the kids spilled soda in bed. However, room service and restocking were hit or miss. We had seven people in a two-bedroom suite, yet the fridge restock included only four waters, six beers (none of us drink beer), and a few sodas. After requesting more, we finally got 15 waters, 10 Coke Zeros, and plenty of towels.||Our room came with a butler, who was incredibly helpful with dinner reservations, especially for our large group. Dining overall was a highlight. The Italian restaurant was decent, the steakhouse excellent (highly recommend the rib-eye), and the hibachi not only good but entertaining thanks to the lively chef. The surprise standout was the Indian restaurant—absolutely delicious. I hadn’t planned to try it but ended up loving it. For lunch, the Jerk Hut became our daily go-to—the jerk chicken was incredible. Breakfast at the buffet was the weakest meal, though. By 8:30 or 9 a.m., much of the food was picked over, and the omelet line was long.||The drinks varied depending on the bartender—some mixed them perfectly, others a bit too strong—but all the bartenders were friendly and fun.||The gym was a pleasant surprise. Based on the photos I’d seen beforehand, I expected just a few treadmills and some dumbbells, but it was much better equipped than that. It had multiple machines, a couple of squat racks, a recumbent bike, and a stationary bike. I only managed to work out a few times since it got busier as the week went on, but overall, it exceeded my expectations.||The Vibe Crew was another highlight. They kept the kids entertained all day with pool games, volleyball, dancing, and scavenger hunts.||All in all, we had an amazing time. The views were beautiful, the atmosphere relaxing, and the people genuinely kind. If your goal is simply to unwind by the pool or beach with a drink in hand, Blue Water Resort delivers. But if you’re expecting a flawless five-star experience with top-tier amenities and seamless service, you may find it falls a bit short.

The manages were rude and unaccommodating throughout my stay. Dorthy a front desk manager, was especially unprofessional. Instead of addressing my concerns, she spoke to me with a dismissive and disrespectful attitude, which only made the situation worse.|I tried to handle things calmly, but the lack of courtesy and basic customer service was unbelievable. Guests deserve to be treated with respect, not made to feel like an inconvenience.|For the price and reputation of this hotel, I expected far better service and leadership. I won’t be returning, and I strongly advise others to look elsewhere if they want to be treated professionally and with care.|I will say Shirleen, Ameka, Bianca, Tishanna, Vanessa, Jordan, Mariah, Jhamone and the whole vide team where amazing.

This was our second time at Blue Waters. |Hotel itself is very clean and tidy. The majority of staff are very helpful and attentive. The pool waiting staff was very hit and miss. |Food was mainly good. The steak house has definitely lost some of its appeal. The bread and oil (vegetable oil) not olive wasn’t pleasant. The plate arrived with oil still in the plates. The open kitchen is now frosted over and cannot watch the chefs at work. |I don’t feel the resort food/drink in Jamaica is as good the Cancun resort. ||The rooms in Jamaica are more modern than Cancun. |We had a few minor issues that were resolved very quickly by Brenda the general manager. She is a beautiful lady inside and out. Very genuine and kind. ||Also Britannia in the coffee shop remembered our order after the first day. She was also very polite and kept the counter tidy. ||The hotel was also selling day tickets this then lead to some eating areas and bars not being able to cope with the volume of people. A little disappointing when we had paid to stay at the resort for a second time and receiving a completely service. ||We did hire a local driver to go to mo bay. |We used the vendors to the right of the resort for horse riding.

I was here in 2019 and decided to give it another try. This time I stayed in the right tower with a swim out and oh boy it’s anwful over there. Before we got settled in the room we waited almost 2 hours for housecleaning only to be put in a damp room, we switched rooms twice before just saying screw it. The room is in need of renovations, chipped wood, poor painting job, just disappointing. I don’t recall it being this bad on the left tower. For the price this hotel needs to do better. ||Customer service |Apart from the staff at the front desk everyone was very friendly. ||If ur not traveling with children stay on the adults only side. ||Entertainment |This was a joke 1 star for effort||Food |It was impossible to book at a restaurant so we did the buffet for 3 days and nope nope nope, this has gone down hill. We stayed at Royalton Resort Jamaica for our honeymoon in May 2025. While the property itself is beautiful and has a lot of potential, our experience was mixed due to several maintenance and service issues. In our room, the water pressure went in and out on all three shower heads, and the water constantly shifted from hot to cold without properly mixing. The closet was falling apart, with doors off the hinges and shelving coming loose. Our air conditioning also wasn’t working, and when we called for service, the worker who came was very nonchalant and did not resolve the issue. Thankfully, we had a fan and were able to open the balcony doors in the evenings. Despite mentioning multiple times that it was our honeymoon, there was no acknowledgment or special effort from the staff, which was disappointing. On the positive side, the property grounds are stunning, the sand and beach water are amazing, and we enjoyed the water slides, pool, and cabana setups. The large, bright buffet dining area is beautiful, though the food itself was fairly average and servers often forgot basics like tea or coffee at breakfast, which we had to request ourselves. A highlight was the omelette station lady in the mornings, she always served with a genuine smile and positive energy, which stood out in contrast to much of the other staff who seemed overworked and unmotivated. Overall, Royalton offers a gorgeous setting, but the lack of attention to detail in room maintenance and the inconsistent service left us underwhelmed, especially for such a special trip. With more care in these areas, it could truly deliver the luxury experience it aims to promise.
