"Why we love it: An all-inclusive resort with enough restaurants and activities to satisfy the whole family The Highlights: - Reservation-free dining at four on-site restaurants included in your stay - The Clubhouse Kids Club, with daily activities at no extra charge - Diamond Club perks like butler service, discounted spa services, and access to a private beach The Review: Opened in March 2020 on Tamarind Bay, Royalton Grenada brings a trusted brand to the Spice Island. At this all-inclusive property, just like at other Royalton Luxury Resorts, everything from no-reservation dining and drinks to non-motorized watersports, a variety of workout classes, and access to tennis courts, pools, and a pristine, white-sand beach are part of the stay. Guests can also look forward to an international buffet at Gourmet Marche, plus a la carte options like Taj, an Indian-inspired restaurant; Grazie, an Italian trattoria; and Ma Maison, a French bistro. There are even five bars and two cafes. Perfect for families, the resort features a supervised kids’ club for children ages 4 through 12, as well as activities like snorkeling, kayaking, and live performances at an open-air theater. When adults need a break, there’s the Royal Spa, complete with a hydrotherapy circuit and full range of massage, facial, and body treatments. At 269 rooms, Royalton Grenada is one of the larger properties on the island, but accommodations are still sleek, done up in whites, woods, and royal blue accents. Each has either a balcony or terrace, plus a rain shower and Royalton’s signature DreamBed. For guests wanting a bit more, the on-site Diamond Club offers larger suites that include access to an exclusive beach and pool, an upgraded room service menu, butler service, discounts on spa treatments, and admission to the Diamond Club Lounge, which is filled with complimentary snacks, appetizers, and desserts."

I stayed at the Royalton Grenada for 5 days while we dropped a family member off to St, George’s University. The location is close to the airport and close to the campus which is convenient. However, there were some things I found during our stay that weren’t as convenient. I will say I did overall enjoy my stay, however there are many things about the stay that I wish would have been improved by the staff. Upon check in, we were notified that we were diamond club members. We were told we had 24 hr room service, a butler, access to a private pool, free drinks and minibar. It sounded very nice at first. As we stayed, we realized that the staff was very hard to contact. Although we had a “butler”, I felt that that butler did not benefit our stay at all. Yes, the butler was certainly kind, but pretty much all they did was send good morning and good evening messages saying “i hope all is going well and reach out if you need any assistance.” Reaching out to find assistance for simple things was very hard at this resort. I slept on a couch pull out in the room- it was comfortable, but we were left with no pillows or blankets for the sofa pull out. When trying to call the housekeeping, nobody replied. I called front desk, the operator, the bellboy, the concierge, essentially pressed every quick contact button on the phone and could not get through to anyone. It was like a miracle if someone answered the phone. Same with water bottles. We were told our mini bar would be restocked daily, but it was not. We went to bed some nights without water just because it was so hard to obtain any- the bars would not give us plastic water bottles, and the front desk manager had to come to our room to deliver water at 12 AM because nobody else cared enough to do it. The room was very nice, the resort was beautiful. The food was absolutely horrible at the buffets, but it was good at all 3 restaurants. None of the food from the buffet is local and you can tell. The selection of fruit in Grenada is vast and exotic, but the selection of fruit at this buffet consists of some honey dew, bland white pineapple, heavily seeded watermelon, and extremely sour passionfruit. One trip onto the streets of Grenada and I tried more fruits than were even available at the buffet. Overall, I had a pleasant time at this resort. But my biggest complaint was the lack of service here- it made me feel like nobody wanted to do their job because of how minimal and slow paced things were. I do not think this resort captured the true local beauty of Grenada. It seems like a focused on money making resort with no regard for local culture. I am grateful for my stay, but am certain that the quality of this stay was not anywhere close to spending over $1000 a night.

I stayed at the Royalton for a week while on a mission trip, the location is great, super close to the airport, right on the beach. Amazing cocktails, great selection of food. Our rooms were nice modern, clean rooms. Entertainment and the bartenders definitely made our evenings after work fun and enjoyable! A big thank you to management and staff, everyone was very friendly, accommodating and made us feel like we were home. Would definitely recommend this resort for your next stay in Grenada! Looking forward to my next visit! :)

Review of Royalton Grenada I was extremely disappointed with my stay at the Royalton Grenada. For a resort that markets itself as luxury, the overall experience fell far short of expectations. • Service: The staff was inconsistent—some were polite, but most seemed uninterested or overwhelmed. Requests often went unanswered, and follow-up was poor. • Cleanliness: Rooms and common areas were not maintained to the standard you’d expect from a “5-star” property. Towels, bedding, and even dining areas did not feel fresh or properly attended to. • Food & Drinks: The dining experience was underwhelming, with limited variety and food that often lacked quality or freshness. For an all-inclusive, I expected far better. • Value: The price point does not match the experience. What should feel like a luxury vacation felt more like a cut-rate package with a nice view. While the property itself has potential with its location and beach access, the execution in service, cleanliness, and overall guest experience makes it hard to recommend. I left feeling frustrated rather than relaxed, and I would not return.

Located right next door to the airport! Rooms were decent and clean. We did have to switch because our initial room smelled of mildew/sewage, but the front desk was accommodating. The property is pretty large and a regular running shuttle would be helpful to move guests around the property. The restaurants seem to be booked for days in advance yet when you past by there are tables available. The buffet provides options BUT if something runs out (mainly seafood) they will not replenish. In which case, what is the point of the buffet?! Get there early if you actually want to eat. The beach was clean ,but rocky. It rained and the "rainflies" were our of control. The birds at the grill next to the pool are also a nuisance. Staff was great overall but I would likely not stay here again.

We stayed at the beginning of the month in the diamond club. Definitely not worth it at all. Check in was over 2 hours. Some days housekeeping never showed up. Our butlers were nice but their hours were scarce and didn’t really see the benefit. It was difficult to get around the resort as I’m assuming there was one buggy for the whole resort- the last night we missed our family dinner as we waited over 30 minutes for the buggy. On the last day I spoke to customer service about the experience and I was shrugged off and told “they will make a note”. It is a shame because most of the staff was great the grounds are beautiful and clean. Food was not the best but I guess that’s expected for resort food. We are returning to Grenada in the upcoming months and wanted to do a regular stay as diamond club was not worth it at all, but my group wants nothing to do with that resort. It’s a shame.

If you are expecting the Ritz Carlton then look elsewhere. This is a very nice, affordable vacation. The staff here was exceptional from the moment we arrived. The room was clean, bed was comfortable, bathroom very nice as well. The restaurants are not 5 star but they are more than adequate. The staff is beyond exceptional, everyone was friendly and smiling always said hello when they passed by and sincerely cared about our experience. We always felt safe and the beach was exceptional. Notable staff that went above and beyond Terry from the vibe team Devon our server from Grazie and the beach Deleon from the buffet Giovanni from Martini mix Thank you Royalton for a wonderful experience

Pros- lovely beach, good location less than 2 mins from airport. They were able to give us early check in as we had an infant.||Cons- food is terrible. The only decent restaurant was Grazie and Le Maison. They use frozen batter for omelettes in the morning. I ordered room service and it never arrived. I was staying with a 5 month old baby and there were stairs everywhere. Was really difficult having to go up and down and we had a pram. The Indian restaurant food was terrible. The cot they provided us was terrible and I had to end up co sleeping with my baby. The French restaurant was so busy we ended up waiting more than 1hr for the food- terrible service. No welcome drink when we arrived. Everywhere is open air so it’s hot. Adrian was rude when I asked if he could make poached or fried eggs.||I wouldn’t say this is a luxury hotel as it claims. More like 3 star. We have stayed in Sandals and the service and food quality is incomparable. I wouldn’t recommend or come back. Pay more and go sandals!

The hotel is beautiful! The private beach has breathtaking views and the staff are all friendly, polite and helpful. The drinks were good-but not strong. However, I was extremely disappointed with several things: 1. Slow service, upon arrival I was informed that my room wasn’t ready and that I would have to wait to be taken to it (not a great start to a trip after a 4 1/2 plane ride). Also, there was always a wait to be seated in the dining area for buffet food and whenever I called for service to the room (I.e. room service/hospitality) it was always a long wait to receive my items. 2. Poor food options, upon receiving room service (over 1 hour after placing the order), the food wasn’t hot and the food was overcooked. They don’t provide many options for people who are pescatarian and or don’t eat beef or pork and the food lacks flavor (everything was bland). 3. Poor performance, overall I never had housekeeping provide service to the room except for one day (out of four nights) they didn’t throw out our garbage we had to ask them to remove it when leaving things outside the door to be picked up. They weren’t for a long period of time. They didn’t provide washcloths (for washing) and when asked, I was informed that they were “cleaning them” so we had to bathe ourselves with towels instead, when requesting an iron, they provided that but didn’t have a board to use with it and they never followed up with assisting us with our luggage upon checking out, we had to inquire with them.
