Writing this review before leaving the hotel! Spent just a week here and wish we were staying longer! Firstly, our Butler Johnny went above and beyond during our visit making sure we have everything we needed! Including booking us into restaurants. Very attentive and went the extra mile to ensure I had the best birthday celebration 🎉 Thank you Johnny! The location of this hotel is superb you have everything you need in one location! Lovely beach and pool area, we upgraded to the diamond club and it did not disappoint! The room was clean, and cleaned daily no complaints here at all! Pool service to on the beach service was great too! Yes tipping is a culture here but the service you receive makes it worth it! If you’re a Brit bring dollars for the tips. We can’t wait to return!

I had a wonderful time on our girls trip. We have stayed at the Royalton multiple times and I am never disappointed. There are many choices of resorts to go to, but we come back to the Royalton Punta Cana mainly because we love our Butler, Daniel. Daniel is very conscientious about his job and takes great care of us. He makes our our dinner reservations and checks on us throughout the day to make sure everything is going smoothly. Daniel is just a super nice guy.||My friends and I have swim out rooms when we stay. They're great. Being able to go into a pool right out of your room is a great feature. There is a bar and a place to eat just on the other side of our swim out and it was very convenient. The food and drinks are good and our servers, Maria and Erica were wonderful. They are sweet, hard working ladies. Everyone that works at the resort is very friendly. ||The housekeepers were great also.|The rooms are very comfortable. I always sleep well when I stay there. The restaurants are good. I liked the hibachi restaurant and the steakhouse the best. |There is a really nice martini bar and a coffee shop. The coffee is good and the confections that they sell are great. ||The only negative thing that I can think of is the buffet. I only used it for breakfast. To be fair, it's hard to keep food warm in a buffet setting. They do made to order omelets, they are very good. The line is just long. They have a great variety of fruit which kept me happy. ||I had a wonderful time and I wouldn't hesitate to tell my friends that it's a great place to vacation.

I rarely leave reviews, but this experience was so disappointing that I feel obligated to warn others.||I booked Royalton Punta Cana for a special trip with my daughters — a relaxing, fun getaway I was truly looking forward to. Instead, I left feeling disrespected, exhausted, and completely let down.||Let’s start with the room: We waited over five hours to receive it after checking in at 1:30 PM. Because of this ridiculous delay, my daughters missed out on everything the resort had to offer that day — no splash park, no pool, nothing. And I have a mobility issue, which made the wait even more difficult — especially since there are no elevators outside of the main building. It felt like no one cared about our comfort or experience.||When we finally got in the room, the bathroom was filthy. There was hair all over the shower walls and clogging the rain showerhead. It was disgusting and clearly not cleaned properly before our arrival.||To make things worse, the mini-bar was empty, and I had to call multiple times just to get it stocked. And because the room was so delayed, by the time I tried to book dinner, every restaurant was full. We had no choice but to eat at the buffet — not what I paid for, especially after upgrading to Diamond Club.||Speaking of Diamond Club, the service was extremely disappointing. Merci, the representative, was flat-out rude. She kept cutting me off while I was calmly explaining everything we went through. I literally had to ask her to stop talking so I could finish. I eventually got to speak with Patricia, who was the only staff member that showed me any empathy. But even then, after she spoke with her management team, they told her they would not accommodate us in any way. Not even a simple gesture of goodwill after all the inconvenience and poor service we experienced.||The butlers were helpful when they could be, and I do appreciate their effort. But this was not the butler-level experience that’s advertised or that I was expecting when I paid for an upgraded stay. No special touches, no attentiveness — just basic service when I tracked them down.||This was supposed to be a meaningful and memorable trip with my daughters, and instead it was one issue after another. And what made it all worse? The complete lack of care or empathy from the resort staff. I wasn’t looking for a handout — just to be treated with respect and to have a few things made right. But they couldn’t even do that.||I will NEVER return to Royalton Punta Cana. Save your money and your peace of mind. You deserve better.

Overall we had a good experience at Royalton Punta Cana Resort. We had the Diamond Club package. ||The good: Clean, well kept resort, friendly staff, we had a great butler named Johnny who was very nice and helpful with whatever we needed and checked on us every day, walking distance to splash (small water park with about 7-8 slides), private beach access, swim up pool with fun activities every day, events just about every night, easily order drinks and lunch right from your beach chair - lunch was pretty good food. ||The not so good: seaweed on beach was terrible (no fault of resort or staff, just worth mentioning), endless vendors on beach trying to sell something (cigars, braids, excursions, pictures with birds, trinkets, etc.), food was average at best (buffet was the best option). Lots of dinner options, but again the food quality was not great. ||Overall…great service and friendly staff with fun atmosphere and events. Just don’t get too excited about the dining experience.

Johnny our butler was excellent. Johnny went out of his way to book restaurants that were already booked . Johnny was available every day all day if we needed to help. He even suggested a placed off the resort we could shop. He deserves a special treat for all his help. Also Miguel at the splas resort which was on the same resort as our is the tennis man. He wa great with my grandkids. The grandkids came away from a lesson with better skills .Excellent coach and person to have your kid learn skills

I would like to thank Cristian Santana from Royalton Punta Cana for making our family vacation one of the best experience for my family and I. If you visit Royalton Punta Cana please ask for Cristian, he was by far the best staff in the hotel and will make visit extremely pleasant. Royalton management needs to promote him to train your front desk staff on great customer service. ||Positive: Overall experience of the hotel was great, would recommend for family vacations. Clean rooms, great restaurant staff, amazing evening entertainment, good food “buffet”, pool activities and drinks. |Negative: Front desk staff very rude (Rosa), difficulty when booking with Marriott Bonvoy, front desk staff wanted to charge us for 2 rooms. Front desk staff would not allow certain excursion companies into resort, front desk staff not considerate with a family member with disabilities.||First photo is of Cristian Santana, thank you for all you did for my family and I.

We ended up doing diamond. The butler was not useful. The pools close at 7pm which we didn't know and then couldn't get towels. The bars close around pools at 6om. Trying to get a reservation for any restaurants is non existent. We ended up at score bar and lounge and took almost 2 hours to get food. We were tired of eating buffet which isn't the best anyway. The refrigerator was supposed to be refilled in room, never happened. This was our first all inclusive and so far extremely disappointed. The rooms were okay except the AC situation, it cuts off after being gone for a while however who wants to come back to a room and wait for it to get cold again. To walk out to beach from hotel, you can't just got down into water unless you jump down and embankment where they have bags of sand for rough weather which I can understand however you have to walk down a ways to get to beach which I'm sure they don't show on brochure. We had to call to get sheets for pullout couch, we had to call to get enough wash cloths. These are things that should be in the rooms. One day we called and there were no washcloths. The staff act like they don't want to deal with you. Really sad and upset that we wasted our money on this.

Dinner reservations are impossible to make unless your in Diamond club. The app does not work. Luckily customer service was nice and help me book reservations. We did not get to eat in the steak house. Several guests had to eat in the buffet every night. For the price the restaurant should be open every day and the app should be easy to use. The Scores bar needs help bad. Sometimes only 1 to 2 servers. They were over worked. The air did not work in Scores and they were always out of something. The buffet food was not good. Everything was over cooked with no flavor. For this to be a Marriott property its lacking. There needs to be a clear designated area for smokers. People were smoking in every open space around children. It was stink! My family had a good time, but this hotel needs some serious revamping in the way they do things.
