Yelp
3.0 Stars with an extra bump up due to the very friendly service.
I've driven by this a bunch of times on my way over to South Royalton, and they are always open (rare in these parts). I finally figured I'd pop in and grab something due to the few Yelp reviews about this place.
First of all, it is much bigger on the inside than it looks, with a nice sized dining area with fairly comfy booths. If you're headed up I89 with a bunch of rowdy kids in the car, this place can accommodate them, and you won't have to feed them McDonald's. The menu is very typical for a local pizza joint, with some salads, pizzas, a good number of different pastas, calzones, and subs/grinders. The prices are fair as well - expect to pay $6-$10 per person unless you're getting pizza by the slice.
There is an interesting Greek 'flavor' to the menu - slight, but it's there. Don't worry - everything doesn't have feta on it, but there is fresh baklava available. My reason to knock it down to 3 stars? They don't even make their own meatballs - kind of a sin where I'm from. I've seen the ingredient list on a lot of frozen, prepared meatballs and its concerning. This made me wonder what they actually make from scratch here...
Anyway, I got a large calzone, and it was freshly prepared and very tasty and filling, and overall a good value for about $8. Oh, and no, they don't have fresh brewed iced tea. I'll be back, but I'm going to keep bugging them to start making their own meatballs. I'm really dying for a good meatball sub around here...
