Such a fun place to visit! A great way to relax and take a stroll on a lazy Saturday. There’s loads to see — quirky stalls, vintage treasures, and plenty of items that bring back memories of your grandparents’ collection of “things.” It’s lively, full of character, and such an enjoyable way to spend your time. The food options are a bit limited but very popular, and while parking can be tricky, the market’s just off Victoria Road with plenty of bus connections nearby. It’s also close to lots of great cafés and restaurants. Definitely a great spot to explore and soak up the atmosphere!

Very quirky items for sale, great place to go for a gander. Some very unique bits and very cheap. Wouldn't go for the food though, the food stalls all looked extremely average, but plenty of good food and coffee options nearby.

Rozelle Collectors Market is hands down my favourite nostalgic market in Sydney. Every visit feels like a treasure hunt, with something unique and fascinating to discover among the stalls. The charm of the market lies in its eclectic mix of vintage items, antiques, and quirky collectibles that evoke a sense of nostalgia. Whether you're a seasoned collector or just looking for a unique piece to take home, this market never disappoints. The atmosphere is vibrant, and the vendors are friendly and knowledgeable, always ready to share the story behind their wares. If you love uncovering hidden gems with character and history, Rozelle Collectors Market is the place to be.

Rozelle market at Balmain is good place to visit for relaxing and cafe as many car parks but still not enough to supply for the demands. Unfortunately raining day affects those café businesses as most of the outdoor seats are wet. Amazing view of Sydney tower from here. City views are a bit foggy too and look fabulous. We enjoyed the rainy walk as those snowy rain drops are phenomenal.

The day to take in the sights and meet locals. Lots of coffee shops and places to enjoy the outdoors. Parking fair if you go early. The market stalls mostly older things you may be looking for. Nice selection of plants as well.

So funnnnn. Wasn't very crowded thank God. This is really a vintage market! A wide range of vintage stuffs. Some prices were reasonable some were a bit too high but you're the ones who make the decision.

Had much fun as looking around the booths with all those old and unique items. It’s a shame that many of them refused pay by card or transfer since I almost never carry cash. Had some gozelme, recommended by a formal Sydney resident friend, and those tasted so good. Took a while to get the food but was worth the wait. Plus they accept card, fortunately!

Yelp
Ahhhhh Rozelle markets stop taking all my money!! This is one of my favorite Saturday destinations, I love strolling through all the little stalls ogling and touching all the unique, eclectic and vintage items owners have collected through out their lives. There's a great selection of international food, a massage for your shopping exhausted feet and even tarot readings for curious minds. Stall owners are open to bargaining and and telling you their life stories as they entice you to buy their goodies.

Yelp
Every Saturday and Sunday Rozelle Public School turns its playgrounds into a bric-or-brac utopia. Like an extended garage sale, you'll fossick your way through piles and piles of crap but will almost certainly come across a gem. Surrounded by busking musicians and haggling hopefuls in search of a bargain, I take the leisurely walk through Rozelle Markets with a market coffee in one hand and market dumplings in the other. Unlike at Glebe Markets, you won't find stores of designer clothes or jewellery at Rozelle Markets. Instead you'll palm off your dumplings to a friend as you flick through racks of second hand coats, a household of discarded dresses & shoes, antique jewellery, vintage kitchen utensils and second hand books. My best market buys have taken place just before closing. In fact, I think this is my favourite time to take on Rozelle Markets. Whilst it's a far less leisurely endeavour, there's an urgency in the air as storeholders begin packing their goods into their trucks. It's your mission to find the best bargain at the end of the day and it's theirs to make that last sale/have one less thing to pack up. If you're going to get the price down at all now is the time they'll start dipping. But beware the crafty storeholders - if you 'overhear' a neighbour storeholder commenting that the frame you were checking out is going for a "really cheap price", then you were meant to hear every word of it. Whilst my parents commented loudly on their first visit that "there's a helluva lot of junk here", I've never left Rozelle Markets empty handed. The problem? Now they make the same comment whenever they enter my room.

Yelp
A popular thrifty and garage sale type establishment among the locals held at Rozelle public school usually every Saturday. There is a different array of antiques and old records available; although nearly all of the items for sale are just too junky for me; yet one person's trash is always someone's else's treasure as that popular saying goes. This market has been around for ages, so the system must definitely be working, and this market does attract the crowds; without saying especially on a beautiful day weather wise. Although sometimes there is the occasional surprise of a quality item that just needs a button sewn on it, or a great furniture item for the house. If it rains, the markets are usually held in the school hall. Not a great day out for me. I would be better off enjoying breakfast and coffee at Rosebud across the road; and then walk and enjoy the Balmain Markets instead. The vendors are friendly, and I heard the gypsy reader is quite good from a few of the locals who have used this service. Forget about the catering: it is full of grease and fat and not always feels so great on the stomach after consuming.

Yelp
The best time to hit Rozelle Markets is 9am sharp. Early risers can find the market at its most idiosyncratic: stall holders are still settling in for the day, catching up with each other, jostling for space, and already bargaining with dealers (antiques dealers also hit the markets early). There's a hum of eccentric chatter, every now and then you hear the words "chakra" and "Leningrad", apparently in the one sentence. Everyone seems just a tad eccentric, carefully arranging antique porcelain ponies next to gaudy beaded necklaces, and placing bakelite telephones next to tarnished silverware. The wares are often "St Vinnies" style offerings, from absolute junk to hidden treasures. Old cameras, candelabras, over-stretched nylon clothes from the 90s, plastic sunglasses, coin collections, books, costume jewellery and mirrors. There are also quite a few good stalls for pot-plants, and although the food options are limited, there is still some good tucker (Himalayan, Gozleme, Vietnamese, coffee and muffins). It's a sunny spot and there is plenty of space to sit around and listen to buskers. I got tricked into buying an Italian stovetop coffee pot here yesterday though - I asked if it works, "yes, it works." It did. But the coffee smelled distinctly like tin, and I wouldn't even sip it. You win some you lose some. Now the coffee pot is "decorative only". I don't really begrudge the old seller his $15 though, he had a nice toothless smile.

Yelp
I come to this place telling myself not to go wild and leave with a ladder, a rusty shopping basket, a guitar, books and greasy hands. Damn you golezme! Something about the Rozelle markets turns me into a crazy hoarder lady- maybe its the fact that this is how i imagine garage sales would look in heaven. If you're a creative type redecorating your room on a budget- slip into something comfy and head to this treasure trove of trash to start digging. My friend and I have so much fun when we come here that we've made it a weekly tradition. Rozelle isn't littered with young trendsetting hipsters like many competing Sydney markets so no pressure if you want to head here straight from the gym or dressed like a normal person for a lazy gander or a D.I.Y project. If you do have your fashionista hat on Glebe or Bondi markets will be more than accommodating! Some of my best Rozelle buys; *ladder/shelf ($10) *rusty shopping basket/sick magazine holder ($5) *blue acoustic guitar ($30) *Eiffel tower wire jewellery holder ($10) *brand new patchwork purple and aqua handmade quilt cover ($60) matching pillow ($5) *yellow porcelain jug/vase ($2) See you there next weekend! Ill be the one getting a combination of evil/empathetic looks as I lug my miscellaneous items home on the bus.

Yelp
To say I love this market is an understatement. I always spent my Saturdays and Sundays doing as many markets as humanly possible when I was living and working in Sydney and I always tried to make it to Rozelle for this market. It was super funky, eclectic, antique-y, and felt small and personal as well. Was really easy to navigate and didn't take all day. You could find anything and everything here and they even had a few really delicious food vendors here as well. Best market in Sydney!

Yelp
Rozelle markets is remarkably more like an extremely extensive garage sale than a regular established market. Here you can find everything from nanna's old cocktail cabinet through to a selection of dog-eared Baby Sitter's Club books. A trip here however, must come with the understanding that if you want to find something, you'd better be prepared to search. Wear comfortable shoes and have your tummy full because not only could you be a while, there isn't much in the way of munchies.

Yelp
Rozelle Markets has less of an attitude and more of an authentic second hand market vibe than most other markets in Sydney. The area is huge and anything is possible here. From true antique metal handbag pouches to a Snoopy cigarette holder to cheap second hand chairs to vintage furs. Whatever item you can think of from the 40s, 50s, or 60s you will be bound to find here. There is less of a handcrafted element at Rozelle Markets and instead more of a big street garage sale atmosphere. You will definitely find lots and lots of, er, crap but if you persist at it you will no doubt go home with something you never knew you were looking for.

Yelp
I love spending my time on weekends browsing markets in different suburbs. My first impression of the market at Rozelle was, its small. Not many stall holders but each stall has at least a hundred items, so there is plenty to see and browse. Each market is unique and has its own flavour. The market here is filled with Bric-a-bracs and antiques and hand me downs. It lacks hand crafted stuff but definitely not creative stuff. I always find something to take home. From the pocket watch to the rustic mirrors, you definitely feel you are in the midst of a treasured past. It closes quite early, even though the end time is supposedly 4pm, by 3 all the stall holders start packing up. I prefer arriving early, that way I can browse at leisure and make my way around all the stalls. This gives me time to rethink if I really want to buy something and head back or just head home.

Yelp
I have furnished my entire home from these markets. Head straight to the back of the school, where 'truck-man' has pure gold discoveries from deceased estates - from Edwardian hall stands to deco tables to 50s cement planter pots. Next to him on a Sunday you can pick up mid-century masterpieces from Mike. On your way back to the Darling St side of the markets, pick up German ceramics, heavy silver and crystal for the dining room, kitsch tea-towels and more deceased estate furbelows and art from the ladies at the bric-a-brac tables. Never try to bargain with the old Greek woman in the corner, she's the richest woman in Balmain for a reason! The clothing is all pretty rubbishy - but I have found good handmade English boots for $20. And of course, you should never leave on a Saturday without a good bowl of pho inside you.

Ivi P.

Yelp
Great food. Great items. But too many dogs about. too many poo in the park as well. Bit crowded also.

Yelp
Don't waste your time! Same junk week in week out with Antique shop price expectations... An aloof and cold browsing crowd makes for a less than enjoyable experience, I have done this market for over a decade and imo it's had it's day for collectables etc, try elsewhere ppl. Don't believe the hype!
