Amazing whiskey bar in the Nagoya. It is a must go. Ito the bartender and the rest of the crew are a very friendly and entertaining. We had great time sharing travel stories. Looking forward to visiting again.

Visiting the first bar in Nagoya… The owner’s manner is extremely poor! I fully understand that tonight should be very busy as it’s right before the whisky event… But I am extremely disappointed with the attitude of the bar owner! I can say he is very unprofessional and 失礼! Because he doesn’t know me, and I didn’t get a reference letter from any whisky insiders. He gave me very bad attitude from the first moment when i entered the shop. 😂 I will say, he at least needs to be professional as a services provider… Or he can let me know this bar needs to join the membership program or I will need a reference letter to enter their gate…. Anyway, the worst part is that he gives me the super UNHAPPY face while giving big smiles to the other whisky insiders. 禁煙ウイスキーバー Rubin's-Vase

The manager was very unprofessional. I appreciate business was busy because of the Nagoya Whisky Lovers festival. The attitude towards visiting whisky industry insiders was clearly very hospitable. However the hospitality towards our group or even other non-industry patrons was clearly disrespectful. We had waited a good 20 minutes without anyone asking us what we wanted. It’s good that me and friends are whisky enthusiasts and just ordered what we wanted. I don’t think anyone should have to go through such an intimidating experience, especially if they aren’t familiar with whisky. To keep the review balanced, the part time staff were helpful when we asked. However, the tone at the top was clearly not positive. P.s. don’t go for the bar’s bottling

I do not drink whisky, but a family member who does, wanted to visit this place. We did not know what to expect, but it turned out to be an unexpected pleasant experience. We went around 6pm, and there was one other customer. This was during the golden week on a Saturday. The bartender was really friendly, but he does not speak any English. It is recommended to go with someone that speaks Japanese. He is very friendly and he loves whisky. It is nice to see people being able to make a living out of their hobby! It is mainly whisky only, but I asked if he had any beers and he had only a limited amount. Also decent beers. The collection of whisky is incredible. With some very rare bottles that can hardly be found anymore. Definitely worth visiting if you love whisky, but do not forget to bring someone that speaks Japanese. Prices for whisky vary from bottle to bottle, but we had a 2700 yen and 3700 yen whisky. Which seemed to be fair prices for these rare ones. We even received a Rubin's Vase tasting glass!

Very good experience here with more than five hundred whiskey for choosing. Staff is very nice and talkative. And the Customer in bar are helpful for translation. Enjoying the time here!

Extensive collection with superb own’s bottling waiting for you to discover! The bartender is friendly and easy going. The prices of the whisky are unbelievably reasonable and budget friendly. Would definitely come again!

Amazing bar and Ito-San is great. Make the effort to communicate even if you have to use a translator app. Had a great time with Ito San and even met a couple of locals. Never been a huge fan of blended whiskies but tried a few outstanding old ones. Extensive Chichibu collection. Thank you Ito-San for returning my phone. Glad I came.

This place is an absolute must to visit. The owner and his staff are amazing and the selection of whiskey, oh my lord.... Must place to visit. Highly recommend this place to all. On our first night we visited, we told the owner we will be back the next day with our friends. Not only did he keep the seats for us at the bar reserved, but also got an friend of his to come in to interpret. Magic. Some of the best times and memories made.....
