We’ve just had a wonderful stay at Ruby Coco in Düsseldorf- from the moment we arrived to leaving we were delighted with our accommodation. The hotel is quite quirky in a cool way, from umbrellas to rent, cute signs, a guitar you can grab and play to amps in the bedrooms. We were hours early for the 3pm check in after arriving from Edinburgh early in the morning. The front of house staff member could not have been more accommodating, sorted an early check in for us at 10am and settled us with a coffee while we waited the 10 minutes for the room to be fully ready - we’d only gone to the hotel on the off chance we could leave our bags there while we went out to explore and didn’t expect to be checked in early. ||The room itself, while compact, had everything we needed. The bed, after a long day and evening of exploring and enjoying Düsseldorf, was incredibly comfortable and the air con a necessity in the heat for these 2 Scottish tourists. We had a wee giggle about the shower/toilet being glass and in the room but both were super clean, the shower gel, shampoo and conditioner all smelled lush. ||The hotel is close to everything without the noise of the city, a great location for getting out and about as well as being close to markets and the train station. ||A great find and if we come back to Düsseldorf it’ll be our first choice for accommodation. A great vibe - we feel like they thought of everything.

Stayed here for one evening on a business trip. Located in the middle of the city with convenient access to trains, taxis and buses in the area. ||Hotel is on the 2nd floor of an office / commercial building adjacent to a mall area – enter via a cobblestone courtyard and head up to 2nd floor to the bar which doubles as reception. There are steps between the room floor and reception so leave your luggage on the room floor and walk up to reception / bar.||Bar / reception team were friendly and helpful. Checked myself in using the tablet and made my own key. Normally I hate this self-serve process but it was really unobtrusive especially when on a business trip when you prefer the least amount of interaction after a long day. I ordered a WOW double room which was decorated white, felt spacious and a bit bare at first entry but I had everything I needed.||Bed was comfortable, room was clean, sufficient amenities provided for my stay, two Marshall speakers to play your music and settle in after a long day. They also had a TOTO toilet seats which was an unexpected treat – that alone would draw me back! Shower walls were glass exposed to the living space with a privacy curtain and sink was in the room, but when staying alone, it was more than sufficient. Shower pressure good – a must when on the road. Check out was easy – just drop the key into the box and a few hours later, you get an invoice sent to your email.||I was unsure about this brand and was pleasantly surprised. It was comfortable, clean, felt unique and stylish without trying too hard. Had considered other chain hotels as my business trip ‘go-to’ but pleased I tried Ruby Coco and will certainly return going forward for my Dusseldorf city trips.

I had a great stay at this hotel. The location is very convenient, though it can be a bit tricky to find at first. There are two entrances – one through a courtyard and another via the shopping centre, which is really handy once you know your way around. Check-in was smooth and the staff were pleasant and welcoming, creating a good first impression. The bar area is fantastic, with a wide selection of drinks and a lovely courtyard space that’s perfect for relaxing outdoors. As for the room – mine was spacious, bright, and airy, and overall very comfortable. However, the air conditioning wasn’t working during my stay, and no fan was provided, which made the room quite warm, especially overnight. The large windows let in loads of natural light, which was great during the day, but as the room overlooked the courtyard at the same level, I had to keep the curtains closed for privacy – it did feel a bit like staying in a fish bowl at times. Breakfast was a continental buffet, with plenty of fresh, tasty options to choose from – a really nice way to start the day. Despite the minor issues, I enjoyed my stay and would choose to stay here again. It’s a stylish hotel with a great atmosphere and a lot to offer.

We booked for 2 nights. Had some trouble finding the reception, but the warm welcome made up for it! Also appreciated the overall decoration of the reception/bar. Good vibes. The room, we booked a loft, was spacious (for this location) and clean.I would've appreciated a little more closet space (maybe some cabinets or shelves against the wall?). And pitty that things like body lotion and tissues were not replenished. But we survived without them.😂 Temperatures were rising that weekend, the air conditioning worked perfectly. And the large windows were also very nice later at night. Breakfast was sufficient and the guy at the bar friendly and polite. I will definitely visit again!

Very nice and clean hotel in a strategic location. Modern rooms, cozy atmosphere, the staff is professional and helpful. Special thanks to Jasper who welcomed us upon arrival in the night and got us breakfast early morning while leaving. Recommended. Luca.

This is a cool hotel with friendly staff. But it also likes to be a nightclub during the day. On check-in we were told they were hosting an event for 200 in the courtyard. We were invited to join. From 3pm when we got into our room, until 11pm, the DJ got to work on his tunes, blasting loud music up through the whole hotel. Even with the window shut we couldn't take the nap we desperately needed, having come off a long haul flight from Australia. So we went out, no choice! Then, at just after 9am, the cleaners barged into our room and woke us up. Completely unacceptable. Also, the shower leaked all over the floor, which is extremely dangerous. We had to put all the spare towels down to prevent slipping. Sorry Ruby, we can't be friends after this, sunshine.

Unfortunately the hotel just wasn't my cup of tea. From first impressions, the corridors were dark and we had to lift our heavy suitcases up a flight of stairs to get to reception. The rooms were advertised as soundproof and comfortable, but i didn't find this to be the case at all. The bed was hard, the pillows small and we could hear every noise in the corridor from people talking to doors banging throughout the night. If you needed to go to the toilet during the night, you were guaranteed to wake up your partner as the light lit up the whole room due to being in a glass cube and the toilet made a whirling noise when you sat on it. It was the small things that also seemed to matter- I.e, the bed side tables were tiny so could barely put anything on them. Didn't understand the point of having amps in the room, especially since the rooms weren't soundproof, surely others don't play instruments in their rooms so adjoining rooms could hear …? |We weren't offered any information about Düsseldorf at check in and no information about the hotel, so didn't know about the tea or coffee stations until the last night, however these weren't good anyway as the water was barely warm. Ironing your clothes in these, just gave it more of a dormitory feel to it. |The hotel was very clean though, the staff pleasant and the location was good.

Clean, thematic, nice amenities and the staff are exceptional. Jasper was so accommodating and friendly and the lady cleaning was sweet and helpful. Thank you so much to the service staff for your English too!
