Really enjoy every single time we go. Lobby, gift shop and restrooms are top notch and clean. Don’t forget to visit the tower to see a wonderful view from the top of the mountain.

We LOVED our experience. Ages 72 to 5 had a blast. Not too long but also not short at all. Beautiful views and remarkable underground structures and of course the waterfall with light show. Our experience was enhanced by our All-Star tour guide, Miles D. He shared his knowledge and passion for natural history and was extremely engaging. He was the true gem of the tour.

Google
Amazing place, a great story behind its name, you can walk inside the cave and see the rocks and different structures inside. You can feel the adrenaline to be inside of the earth. Enjoy the trip, it's a great option spend time with your family.

Google
Unique experience watching a waterfall over 200ft underground. This is a privately owned site so you get to see some cheesy lighting and amateur guides. But ignoring those it’s still worth the breathtaking view of the falls. Your time is limited due to the 100s of guided tours done within the cave. Buy tickets online and stay away from the gift shop.

Google
Connor was a great tour guide. The hike to the falls was pretty easy. Some parts are slippery and/or narrow but plenty of signs and warnings. You don’t get to spend much time at the actual waterfall once you get there, which is my only complaint.

Lisa Smith

Google
What an amazing story of how Ruby Fall became such a treasured place. The views are incredible the tour is definitely worth it. Caitlyn was our tour guide and she was very nice and informative. My only complaint is you only get to see the falls five minutes. You go down a big elevator chef that’s been curved out of the mountain and you walk through the caves. There’s lots of stag nights and definitely some really cool formations and the lighting is cool. There’s areas that are a little bit slippery but they have handrails 10 out of 10. Recommend checking out this location. I don’t recommend purchasing a lot from the gift shop because a lot of stuff isn’t Ruby Falls. It’s just drink it stuff. The parking is free and they have restrooms. There’s no restrooms however, when you go on the hike, I don’t recommend taking small children as the hike is a lot and the waterfall might not be as exciting to them. All the kids that were on our tour. Had a horrible time and we’re screaming but ruined it for those of us who really wanted to enjoy the beauty that nature provides God does such amazing work . Lots of people were caring babies. They didn’t seem to like it very much and the elderly had a really hard time navigating through and trying to keep up with the Guide. They have a fast paced to get in and out, and you have to step aside to let the other groups pass you But it’s definitely worth checking out.

Google
It was amazing the atmosphere that they have captured down there is beautiful to say the least, it's so cool to look at and listen to, and the little history lesson was also really cool, and heartwarming. Loved it so much I might even ho back some time in the near future. Awesome experience for anyone, but if you're afraid of elevators, we'll... this one's a long way down.

Google
very interesting place! i definitely recommend buying tickets in advance, we did, but still went in earlier to check what else they had and their next availability was for 6+ hours later so just a heads up, other than that, plenty of parking, very interesting history, all the guides were super friendly and caring 🫶🏻

Yelp
Cool place for a tour, walking in and out the same way. The colorful lights adds a nice touch to the rock formation. The waterfall at the end is pretty cool too. Lots of groups coming in and out so you'll be asked to wait when people are passing by. The elevator will take you down like 26 floors deep down. Some of the audio is pre recorded when you walk past different sections. If you have a large group call ahead for group rates and you might get some discounts. They don't do that in person. For the cafe, pepperoni pizza (flatbread) was good, lemonade is too sweet and skippable. Beer on tap was interesting and you pour it yourself.

Yelp
My husband, 9-year-old son, and I recently visited Ruby Falls, and it was an unforgettable experience! The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating--we missed our scheduled tour time, but they kindly let us join the next one. The journey starts with an elevator ride descending over 1,000 feet into the cave, which was both thrilling and nerve-wracking. My husband isn't a fan of heights or elevators, so he was terrified, but the experience was absolutely worth it. The tour guide and even the people in the elevator kept the mood light with humor, making the adventure even more enjoyable. The cave itself is stunning, and seeing the waterfall up close was breathtaking. It's amazing to think about how deep underground you are while witnessing something so beautiful. We had an amazing time, and even though the souvenir photo was $35, it was definitely worth it! If you're in the area, I highly recommend visiting Ruby Falls--it's a unique, fun, and family-friendly adventure!

Yelp
Ruby Falls, located in Lookout Mountain near Chattanooga, Tennessee, is a hidden gem offering a unique underground adventure. The main highlight is the breathtaking waterfall that cascades 145 feet down within a cave. Visitors are guided through winding paths, where you'll encounter stunning rock formations and learn about the cave's history and geology. The final destination--the waterfall itself--feels like a magical discovery, as it's beautifully illuminated in various colors, creating a mesmerizing effect. The tour is relatively short (around an hour), making it an accessible experience for most people, though the cave can be a bit narrow and the air a touch humid. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly, providing insights into the cave's formation and the history behind Ruby Falls. The attraction is family-friendly, though it's good to note that it may not be ideal for those with claustrophobia. The on-site facilities, including a gift shop and a café, are convenient but can be a bit crowded, especially during peak tourist season. The surrounding area offers a stunning view of the valley, making it worth a visit even if you just want to enjoy the scenery before or after the cave tour. Overall, Ruby Falls is a must-see if you're in the area. It's a captivating experience that combines natural beauty with a sense of exploration, offering something for both nature lovers and those who enjoy learning about the earth's natural wonders.

Yelp
We didn't make any reservations but since it was earlier in the day, we were able to get on a tour shortly after we arrived (we probably waited about 15 minutes). There weren't too many people in our group which was nice because it gave us more time to take pictures and watch the falls once we got there. Last time we came (about 5 years ago), it was later in the afternoon and there were so many people on the tour with us the lights went out before we were able to get a family photo in front of the falls. The flash was better for the professional picture last time than this time but we were able to get our own picture at least. The tour guides have the same corny jokes but it's fun. I love looking at the formations and seeing our kids enjoy themselves as well. They liked running up to the top of the lookout tower as well.

Yelp
One of my fave caves to visit! All the staff is really nice and super knowledgeable about the history of the cave and the surrounding area as well for great food recommendations and all. Named after the cave discoverer's wife, Ruby, this cave was merely a crawl space when first found and today we are lucky to be able to stand upright in most areas of the cave due to the amazing digging and excavating that was done decades and decades and decades ago! Great time for all ages and when you finally get to the giant underground waterfall it's truly a magnificent sight to see!

Yelp
Stunning and breathtaking are the perfect words to describe Ruby Falls in Chattanooga. This natural wonder is a must-see for anyone visiting the area. The site is well-organized, with ample parking available, but it's essential to book your tickets in advance and arrive at least 15 minutes before your tour begins to ensure a smooth experience. Our adventure started with a quick browse through the charming gift shop before we embarked on the guided tour. We descended an impressive 260 feet underground, marveling at the thought of discovering such a magnificent limestone formation. It's awe-inspiring to think about how this incredible natural creation was first found and preserved. The highlight of our experience was undoubtedly our tour guide, who was not only knowledgeable but also hilariously engaging. Her funny anecdotes and jokes about her "spooky" experiences made the time underground fly by. Along the way, we explored various fascinating limestone formations, many of which had quirky names like "potato chips," which added a lighthearted charm to the tour. Finally, we reached the crown jewel--Ruby Falls itself. Standing at 145 feet tall, the waterfall is a mesmerizing sight, illuminated to highlight its sheer beauty. Despite being underground, the area is well-lit, so there's nothing remotely spooky about it--just pure, natural splendor. The coolness of the cavern enhances the experience, creating a serene atmosphere that feels worlds away from everyday life. Ruby Falls is an underrated gem and a testament to nature's incredible artistry. It's an unforgettable experience and one I'd highly recommend to anyone looking to witness the wonders hidden beneath the earth's surface. Don't miss it!

Yelp
Such an amazing sight to see! On our trip to Chattanooga, this place was a must-see. Maybe it's a tourist trap, but I certainly enjoyed it as I enjoy all things nature. It's not an expensive attraction but if you're claustrophobic, this ain't it for you. The elevator takes you down into the cave with your group. You walk through narrow passageways, all the while the tour guide is sharing tidbits of the history behind Ruby Falls. Sometimes there will be a returning group who has to cross the path going back up, so you're standing very close to each other-see the comment about being claustrophobic above. But the falls makes up for it and you remember why you came- to see this amazing underground waterfall! I'm not sure if I would go back since I've been once. But it's definitely worth it if you've never been and you're a nature fanatic like me!

Yelp
Exploring the cave system that leads to Ruby Falls is definitely a fun adventure, but some things could be better. Upon arrival, you are greeted with the tower, the gift shop and a little cafe to grab a bite while you wait for your turn to dive deep into the system below. All of this is great, including the view from the tower above. Once you are in the cave below, you have a group that you become part of that is lead through the system by a guide working for Ruby Falls. This is where things get iffy for me. We expected the opportunity to explore, take our time and make our way to the falls. I'm not sure if we missed that this was a guided tour when signing up. After accepting our fate of being in a group our expectations changed as we now hoped we would at least learn some history of this site and how it became the system it is today. Unfortunately, we were not so lucky in getting the chance to experience this. A downside to being part of this group was also the limited time to actually experience the waterfall itself. The cave is dark and when you enter you are told about the time limit. A light show starts and this is your only (short) opportunity to view the falls and their glory. Everyone in the group scrambles to get to the edge to take their pictures and it limits the chance of getting a good photo and the opportunity to take in just how beautiful Ruby Falls truly are. Overall, this was an experience that I was happy to go through, but we will most likely not return in the future.

Yelp
Absolutely LOVED our visit to Ruby Falls! Came here for my birthday and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Our tour guide, Scott (or goes by the nickname Scooter) was awesome! He had a great sense of humor and added a lot of funny jokes into his speeches about the caves and how it was discovered. The walk through the caves wasn't bad at all. They say that it takes around 90 minutes for the tour but that time went by very fast. Once we got to the waterfall I'd say we had about 10 minutes to take pictures and enjoy the beauty of it before we had to leave for other tours to come in. They do take group pictures before entering the caves which are available for $35 once the tour concludes and you enter the big gift shop. It's a nice little souvenir to keep for the memories but you're also able to take pictures with your phone throughout the tour. I'd highly recommend the tour at Ruby Falls! It was a fun experience for my family and I. They also have other tour options like lantern tours or haunted tours. Might come back in the future for those!

Yelp
Short guided walk to the falls. Awesome experience and worth the trip. Wear comfortable shoes and don't forget to tip your tour guide. There's a gift shop and restaurant on site.

Yelp
I went here by myself when I was exploring Tennessee a couple years ago and it was on my bucket list because it was a cavern with a waterfall! It did not disappoint! The tour guide was very informational and they allowed me to do a walk-in for the next tour. Supposedly this was built for a woman as a gentleman was exploring.

Yelp
Trying to get on time to your scheduled slot is different, especially with the time zone change, and SO many stops to let exiting groups pass by. Our guide Kingston wasn't very enthusiastic like the other guides we overhead. Once we got to the fall it took a minutes for the light to come on and once it did seemed like it was on for 5 mins and then we left, we couldn't even get a group photos without others in it. It felt like it took an hour to get to the fall and 10 mins to exit.

Yelp
This is my second time visiting Ruby Falls and it's still just as breathtaking! The first time I visited Ruby Falls I wanted to give my kids an experience they would never forget they were 5 and 8 years old at the time and to my surprise here they are 18 and and 15 now and they wanted to revisit Ruby Falls ! Yay!! They were able to get a better understanding of course by them being older and again the underground waterfalls is an amazing sight! Exploring the caves and different rock formations is an experience as well. I like the fact that you view a video explanation of how Ruby Falls was discovered before your cave adventure begins. Definitely a great attraction! 5/5 check out my video, follow, and SYOY!

Yelp
I recently was visiting friends in Tennessee and we stopped in at Ruby Falls. This is more of an attraction than hike to a waterfall as it is a paid entrance to a privately owned cave with a waterfall inside. There is parking and a gorgeous view and with your cave tour ticket you make climb to the lookout on top of the castle turret. Unbeknownst to me you must reserve a timed entrance to the cave with a tour guide. This did throw off our plans for touring only slightly (you can reserve online ahead of time or purchase via kiosks on the premises. Our guide was so friendly and fun but we did have trouble hearing him much of the time and that was disappointing as I was had paid to hear the tour and learn about the history of the cave. There was also a lot of waiting while groups passed each other that was fairly tedious and could be avoided with a different tour schedule. Many of the cave features have been compromised by previous visitors. Still a fun spot to visit however.

Yelp
You ever live at a place where you pass it by 100 times and never even bother to pay a visit? That is kind of like how I felt about Ruby Falls. I live in the Metro Atlanta area for 30 plus years and finally decide to make a trip to visit Ruby Falls. After visiting Mammoth Cave a few weeks before with my family, we were excited to check out other cavernous places, a little closer to home. This was my BILs birthday weekend, so I decided to surprise him and meeting him at Ruby Falls. We had bought tickets for a Sunday at 11 sharp. I was the first one there. There is plenty of (free) parking, but shade is limited, so bring plenty of protection. When I walked up to the entrance, I heard them call for the 1050 tour. I called my sister to see wth they were, as I didn't want to miss our spot (they drove even further than I did). It was about 1058 as they arrived, but I never heard the tour call. We made our mad dash through the gift shop (conveniently located, however you can technically enter through the cafe if you already have your ticket, but they wont tell you that) only to see a mass of people lined up. So, whatever happened between then and that moment, the elevator was down. However, they used the stairs to evacuate the rest of the people. So, I was thinking to myself, if its 260 feet underground, why cant we just use the stairs to go in and out if the elevator is broken (much safer option, and a cakewalk compared to MCs Extended Historic Tour). Then I kept hearing stories of "when it broke down last" and another family who came from CA who said this was the 3rd time they had to rebook due to the same issue- so I am wondering, how reliable even is this elevator? They don't offer refunds, but will reschedule, which sucks, because what happens when you replan another trip only for a chance at this to happen again? I am not going to risk it, I guess the youtube videos will have to suffice. At least at the cafe, they have a cool pour your own beer thing, which had decent beers, but it literally capped you at 32oz. That didn't even wet my whistle. There is a viewing tower we were able to utilize (since they said the elevator was down, they weren't really checking the admission for that) which had a nice view, and got our stair workout there, but yea, I just can't justify going out of the way to risk this mishap again. Maybe I should have brought some scratchies that day...

Yelp
I have been to Ruby Falls twice and find this place really magical. Taken the guided tour and the rock formations inside the caves and after all the cave exploration is beautiful. Love this wonderful falls inside a cave. There are lot of time slots to choose from for a guided tour and would recommend everyone to book it in advance in the busy season. The tickets are sold only online, they have a restaurant/cafe and gift shop inside. Our guide was amazing in explaining everything and was quite interactive. The path is really narrow inside the caves but fun. I would recommend to visit this place if you are in Chattanooga, TN.

Yelp
While it is very touristic , Ruby Falls is a mesmerizing underground waterfall, despite having only a five minute allotment to view. You descend 260 feet into the ground, while walking through narrow passageways. I thoroughly enjoyed the tour. However, there were several factors that attributed to the pleasant experience. Trinity, our tour guide was very lively & humorous making it a very energetic & fun tour. It is true that they rotate groups like clock work through the cave. With such narrow passageways, each group will have to stand to one side while the other passes. However, it's not a constant thing that's disruptive. You will proceed rather quickly, so get your pics in while you can. The maximum number in a group is 38 people, which is a lot! But, my recommendation is to book in advance online your preferred time slot. When it's closer to the day you book or even the day of you booked, check to see how many tickets are left in your group. That way you can see whether you're in a large group. If your schedule permits this time change, you can find another time slot that has only a few people in it. They allow you to switch your time slots either by calling or via your online portal. I was able to switch to the slot at a later time that only had a total of 11 people including us. It's better to call that way you can get real time booking. You can only purchase tickets online, although it's mentioned tickets can be purchased at the kiosk onsite. I would verify this though. I suggest trying to get in the front of the group, so you can hear the guide, otherwise you will have a challenge trying to hear, especially if you're in a large group. Plus being at the front of the group will ensure you will have time to take pics in front of the waterfall if in a large group. Ours was small so that wasn't an issue. Hint: If you want to be at the front of the group, board the elevator closer to the end of the group, so if you're the last one in, you'll be one of the first to enter the cave. Once you get to the waterfall it's dark, until the five minute light show comes on. In a way it's cool, but somewhat cheapening. There's no way you would see the waterfall if there wasn't any lighting. But at the same time it does make the waterfall look cool, even though it's turned into a show. Not going to lie, it was a WOW moment once the light came on and the waterfall appeared. I have been to Luray Caverns in VA but I enjoyed the caves of Ruby Falls more because it felt more "-adventurous" & exploratory, as well as the formations are really cool. Don't forget to check out the observation tower that's included in the admission price. I wouldn't necessarily say the view from there is spectacular, but check it out anyway. The tower doesn't have accessibility to the top, there's an elevator that leads to the second floor outside but the rest are only stairs to get to the actual top. There's a lot of parking close to the entrance & more across the street. There are plenty of clean bathrooms within the large gift shop & one in the cafe. There is food available in the cafe, however I didn't purchase anything there. There isn't public transportation to Ruby Falls so you will either need to rent a car or book a tour via a tour company. I would allow 2 hours at the least onsite when planning, including the tower. 2hr 15min - 2hr 30 min at the most.

Yelp
Ruby Falls was a really cool experience. I just happened to be there during the height of the Covid pandemic. The caverns are neat and the waterfall is beautiful. Good family fun.

Yelp
If you're on a road trip in Tennessee, you won't want to miss Ruby Falls! One of those quintessential roadside attractions, you might see a highway sign or two for Ruby Falls but don't let that turn you off, it's worth the hour or two of your time! But just be aware, you should make reservations online if you want to visit. Grab a parking space outside and head on over to the castle-like turret structure. Inside you'll grab your ticket and queue up in the gift shop. Rocks, anodes, trinkets, you'll likely run into a bunch of hyperactive school children milling about before your name gets called. Head down the hallway to an elevator and you'll be dropped 260' underground to the cool and moist caverns below. If you're claustrophobic, watch out! The passageways are not super narrow and the path is pretty flat but you may get the heebie-jeebies if you're not prepared. You'll pass a variety of interesting rock formations before you hit Ruby Falls, a 145' underground waterfall with music and lights to create a majestic presentation as a reward for the underground hike. You'll have five minutes or so for pictures and selfies before you head back out, past the incoming groups. Overall it's a fun, educational and entertaining visit that I'd do again. The guides are talented and will spin up some tales as you move underground. And yes, once the elevators did break down and people were stuck underground overnight but apparently now there's an emergency exit if another mechanical failure were to occur so fret not. Ruby Falls is certainly worth the time and money and you get to explore Chattanooga if you need more to do!

Yelp
"Ruby Falls is an extraordinary underground wonder nestled within Lookout Mountain, Chattanooga, Tennessee. Descending deep into the heart of the mountain via elevator, we embarked on a captivating journey through a maze of stunning formations, from delicate stalactites to imposing stalagmites. The highlight of our adventure was undoubtedly the breathtaking waterfall that awaits at journey's end, a sight to behold as it cascades majestically within the cavernous depths. Ruby Falls offers a mesmerizing glimpse into the natural wonders hidden beneath the earth's surface, making it a must-visit destination for anyone seeking awe-inspiring beauty and adventure."

Yelp
We stopped by on a whim and caught a tour and I'm glad we did. Our tour guide was Taylor. He was funny and knowledgable while being able to control the group. I'd love to return and bring my kid.
google avatar

Yelp
OK. It's pretty simple. Buy a timed session ticket. Take an elevator 250 feet below ground level. Walk 1/2 mile to Ruby Fall while your guide tells corny (and sometimes funny) jokes. Enjoy the falls and lightshow. Walk back to the elevator in a permanent 60 degree Fahrenheit environment while listening to more jokes, then back up to ground level. The tour takes about 90 minutes and is conducted at a very casual pace. There are interesting sights to see that are formed by nature during your tour, so you will not be bored. Everyone should do it at least once in their lifetime. Nature is the best!

Yelp
If you have claustrophobia or any fear of caves this is NOT for you. My husband and I went into Ruby Falls without really knowing what we were signing up for. I was under the impression it was a waterfall in an open cave that you could freely walk in and out of, we stopped as we drove by.. When we bought our tickets we were given no information other than to go to a certain area when it was our scheduled time. We went and got into a glass front elevator after learning last minute that the tour is 2+ hours. The elevator plummeted hundreds of feet underground through a chute in a cave. My anxiety instantly swarmed me and once getting off the elevator we entered into a tight cave that immediately led to me being unable to breathe. I'm grateful that the staff quickly acknowledged my need to leave and led me back to the elevator to go back up to the surface with the next group. As we waited for the (only) elevator to come back down to take us back up the guide at the elevator area informed us if the elevator fails we should crawl several hundred feet out of a designated exit made in case of elevator failure. Very terrifying experience for me, luckily I made it out before a full blown panic attack. I strongly urge them to give a disclosure regarding the time of the tour and the fact it's hundreds of feet underground in a very tight cave that takes hours to navigate.

Yelp
I had been too many caves in US but haven't been to one that has a waterfalls so on my way to Nashville from Atlanta, I had to make it on my list. It wasn't disappointed except for the tour is too short. Our tour guide " sorry couldn't remember the name but it was an old man. Maybe Dave?) has a time scheduled so he kept rushing the group to keep walking. It was so fascinating so we all had to stopped and looked Can't imagine to go down 26th floor down from the ground to see a waterfall. Amazing. Definitely a good choice to visit the Ruby Falls.

Yelp
Gorgeous waterfall inside of a cave! It's a very pleasant experience with knowledgeable guides. If there's been a lot of rain, call ahead sometimes the cave gets flooded. Highly recommend checking out this place!

Yelp
This was super neat! I loved our tour guide Taylor(?), he was really fun he needs a raise. The waterfall was beautiful, and the rest of the cave was cool, too. Also the view of the city from the entrance was awesome. Thee gift shop was great, and as a soda enthusiast, I appreciated there being Pineapple Fanta and Mello Yello at the coke fridges. Not much places like this have those (I bought the latter). Definitely worth seeing!

Yelp
Definitely worth seeing with interesting history. A little disappointed the zip line was closed and only open on weekends during this time of year.

Yelp
This is an awesome stop on your Chattanooga adventure. Scott/Scooter is the BEST tour guide!! Made it fun for the whole family!

Yelp
Woah, what a place. I went with two of my dearest friends and gosh, we had a blast. Rocks, rocks, and more rocks. And some some of the rocks were in cool shapes. Our tour guide Zada killed at the cave comedy. She had a wonderful set list. 5/5, would spelunk again.

Yelp
What a beautiful and unique experience. My boyfriend and I took a trip to Nashville and decided to road trip to Chattanooga so we could visit Ruby Falls. Who wouldn't want to see an underground waterfall?! Everything was so organized and very well executed. We joined our tour not fully knowing what to expect but were constantly reassured about the safety of the excursion which seemed extra believable given the amount of children who also attended. Anyway, we used these nice elevators to descend to our starting point and walked the narrow and entertaining path that featured unique rock formations. When we eventually reached the waterfall, it was breathtaking! Well worth every penny and footstep. They even have an incredible light show setup in there to add a little razzle dazzle. After taking many photos and enjoying the ambience of the unbelievable sight, we made our way back to the lobby with our tour group. Before leaving, we grabbed a snack from their cafeteria and also visited their observatory which has a castle like feel to it. It was honestly such a great experience and I highly recommend going if you can!

Yelp
Ok, so this rating is really for what's at the end - Ruby Falls. The cave system is ok, but it's the falls that make it worth it. Choose your time and purchase tix on line. Check in desk is at the main building that also houses the cafe and gift shop. You'll walk around a mile or so total. The guide will crack corny jokes. If you are six foot or taller, mind the low slung ceiling in a few parts. The falls are a sight to see. If you're in the Chattanooga area, it's worth a trip. Not as overall spectacular as some cave systems, but the falls are unique.

Yelp
I SO wanted to love this tour. We got timed tickets on line which was no problem. A tour leaves every 20 minutes. When the time came, an announcement comes to go towards the elevator. We were stuffed like sardines into that elevator to descend. But I thought...oh the tour would be great with just this many people (about 12). When we got to the bottom, we were joined with others for a total of about 38. It is a large group, but it gets worse. Once we get started, we were rushed through the walkways! It felt like a sprint. We bypass lots of lit natural structures with signage, but we never stop or were provided narration. We were told to just keep moving. The only time we stop is to stand against the wall to let other outgoing groups walk by (this happened about 4 times). We get to the falls area which is dark. Once illuminated, it was beautiful (but smaller than I thought). This was IT! This was what we came for. But it shouldn't have been. We should have been allowed to enjoy the journey towards this destination. Overall the trip took 1.5 hours, but it felt so rushed! They need to further limit the number of people so it can be more enjoyable. I thought the price of $25 for an adult was exorbitant too.

Yelp
We had a blast! Tim, our tour guide was friendly, funny, and clearly explained the safety and importance of keeping the caves beautiful. We loved learning about all of the formations, and Tim explained the falls beautifully. He also captured a fantastic family photo and explained why he loved that photo spot.

Yelp
Go to the bathroom first. There are signs that let you know there no restrooms available during the 90-minute tour. A quick elevator ride down, and several tour groups are going through the area at the same time, so occasionally you will have to pause while one passes. Once you get to the falls, it is beautiful. You get a few minutes to view and take photos. It is a comfortable 60 degrees.

Yelp
Thoroughly enjoyed our tour of Ruby Falls. Our tour guide was Russell and he was fantastic. I encourage you to check the group size when you book your tour time, the smaller the group the better the experience. Yes there will be corny jokes cracked but it truly makes for an uplifting experience. The waterfall was a magical sight. After watching the video at the beginning of the tour and then seeing the waterfall you can only imagine how Mr. Lambert felt upon seeing it for the first time. Wear a jacket. It is a perfect 60 degrees in the cavern. I would definitely visit again and hope to get Russell as my guide! Thanks for making us Renegades Russell!

Yelp
The website says that you cannot buy tickets in person but you can. You depart with a group of people at your ticketed time. Our group was 30+ people. Our tour guide, Russell, walked incredibly fast. We had to speed walk to keep up. We were a group of 4 physically fit people, so it may have been VERY difficult for others. We had to stop 4 times in the cave on the way to the falls to allow other groups to pass by on their way out. We were squeezed up against cave walls at times and the people passing had to squeeze against us to get by. It felt like Ruby Falls was just trying to make as much money as they could. We probably were allowed less than 5 minutes at the actual falls before our group had to go back. Then at the end, there were signs and a lot of pressure from Russell for a tip. How about no?!? We paid $27 per person to walk 2/5 mile to the falls and back out again.

Yelp
I visited exactly one year ago and had a far better experience. The group was no larger than 15 people then, but now it's close to 40. The guides no longer share the history of Ruby Falls, which adds to the magic when the lights illuminate the falls. Additionally, we had significantly less time at the waterfall, and there was no music accompanying the falls. It was very disappointing to bring people this year and not have the same amazing experience as last year. Very very disappointed in our experience this year.

Yelp
We had a great time at Ruby Falls. The tour moves quickly but is still informative and enjoyable. The glass front elevator just shows the rock as you descend into the mountain, which makes sense but wasn't what we had envisioned. The falls are really lovely and everything is enhanced with colored lights. Molly was our tour guide and she was great. We want to come back and try the history tour or the lantern tour. I am slightly claustrophobic and there were moments where I felt a little panic but the tour moves so swiftly that it was enough distraction for me to maintain composure. The paths you take to the falls are hallway sized for the most part with some smaller areas. We had to duck a few times but no crawling or squeezing through anything. When you get to the falls it is a much larger space with fresh cool air to give you a little reprieve before heading back into the passageways back to the elevator where you started.

Yelp
Definitely worth a visit. The tour is about one hour. The temperature is about 66°. The fall is absolutely breathtaking. It's crowded... (I went in mid September) so pack a little patience. Our tour guide was really good.

Yelp
What a wonderful place! So you drive up lookout mountain and Ruby falls is a waterfall inside a cave. You must buy tickets online or you can go inside and they have kiosks where you can purchase tickets. They have many tours running throughout the day, so there are plenty of times to choose from. Once inside you're taken by elevator down inside the cave. You'll have a tour guide to take you through and give you the history of the cave which has been open for public tours since the 1930s. The indoor waterfall is the end of tour then you're lead back to the front of the cave to leave. The waterfall is lit up with colors that change. Once your group session is over, they turn the lights off, so be sure to get some good pictures... I recommend being in the front of the line so once you reach the cave you can hurry and snap a photo before the rest of the group comes rushing in. The inside temperature of the cave is 60 degrees year round. You don't need a coat but a light jacket should be okay if you want, though it's not necessary. I'm 6'2 and had to squat at times to get throughout the cave but it wasn't an unpleasant experience. I mean, you're in an underground cave so ducking is necessary but you won't have to do any crawling. There's a cafe on site to eat if hungry and a gift shop to buy souvenirs. Upon exiting the tour, they have your pictures for sale. I recommend climbing to the top of the tower for a nice view of the city. They have ziplining nearby as well but I'm not sure if it's affiliated with the company who runs the tours. Get here soon! I think you'll like it.

Yelp
A recommended stop when in Chattanooga. This is a group cave tour that takes you to Ruby Falls and is led by a knowledgeable guide who shares the historical context of the site. While some visitors expressed dissatisfaction with the guided group experience, I found it to be beneficial, as it adds a level of organization to the visit. Additionally, parking is complimentary, and there is a cafe available for those wishing to enjoy a snack.

Yelp
We had the most amazing experience at Ruby Falls!! HIGHLY recommend getting there early! We took the 8:10 tour and there was only a total of four people! However, the 9am tours were completely booked!! Our tour guide Cooper was great!!

Yelp
This was a really nice attraction and great for a hot day because it is chilly down there! The tours are prompt so make sure you are there in time. They say you need to book ahead of time but there was people that looked like they were booking at the door. It's about a mile walk in total, beautiful waterfall, nice light show. Some spaces are tight so if you have claustrophobia, this may not be the best idea. They have a nice lookout area and a decent café inside. The pricing was decent. I would recommend it and I would love to go again to check out the lantern tour.

Yelp
So we came here to check on the had to must do cave in ruby falls. We walked up, there is a castle above the cave which you learned about later was built with limestone used when they excavated the cave. Anyway, tickets are expensive, 25 a person but ok. We met our tour guide who was very sarcastic. Tall guy blonde. Anyway we walked a half a mile to the waterfall. It was pretty. Nothing that I would pay 25 dollars for. But along the way they had things labeled from the creations. This was a 1 time thing for me. Free parking and I don't know how you can give a natural thing 3 stars but ok?

Yelp
Absolutely loved this place. The guides set the pace throughout the tour. Only disappointing thing was could have used more time at the falls itself. Everyone wanted pictures and some took a lot longer than others. I try not to be rude in public areas and just rode it out while others cut in line then took forever trying to get the right angle. Totally recommend it.
