I loved staying at this hotel. The service was above and beyond exceptional! Each member of the staff treated everyone with kindness and timely service. I loved the upstairs bar as the main hangout area. The drinks at the bar were always served perfectly. The rooms were wonderful. Very clean, cozy, and great use of every space in the rooms. It’s a perfect location as it is very close to the middle of the city with so much to do. I would definitely stay here again!

Just stayed here for four nights as a group of four couples, I'll give you the positives and negatives from our stay:||Positives|- It's in a good location, there's a subway stop around the corner and few nice restaurants within a couple of minutes walk and it's close to tourist spots.||- Hotel decor is quite cool, especially in communal areas||- The bars are nice, especially the ones upstairs which are a lot quieter||- Rooms are quite small but clean. Beds are comfy and showers powerful. Wasn't fussed on the pillows but that's just personal choice as they were quite soft.||- Staff were generally friendly and helpful||Negatives|- Check in is a bit messy as it's done on some iPads next to the bar (self service), as there's no actual reception area. It gets chaotic at times if there's a few people checking in as the bar staff are serving drinks and also dealing with guests having issues checking in.||- There's very little storage space in the rooms, one cupboard with a few hangers with no shelving and no drawers or separate units. Not ideal when two people are staying in a room in November with lots of bulky winter clothes.||- There never seemed to be enough staff working at breakfast or at the bar (especially when they were dealing with check ins). You'd often come down at breakfast and there would be tables full of someone else's used plates etc. and you'd always have to ask for cutlery, napkins etc.||- The worst thing for me during our stay was that there was work being undertaken on floor 2 (where we were staying) and no mention of this was made at booking or check in. All the walls were taped up with masking tape and there was a man there in the mornings sanding the walls with an electric sander and hoovering. This was at around 8am too which kind of contradicts a lot of the branding around the hotel of chilling out and relaxing.|||Other comments|- Breakfast was ok for the price (think it was 16 euro each). It's continental style, no real hot options to speak of. You do however get all types of coffees included (cappuccino, latte etc) which is nice.||- Getting in to the hotel is a bit weird too. There's an entrance via a lift off the street and then a bizarre back entrance where you have to walk through an area that reminds me of an old hospital.||Overall, I thought the hotel was overpriced for what it was. It's not amazing but there's also nothing really bad about it. We paid £920 for four nights in a cosy room with breakfast and I've stayed in far nicer hotels with bigger rooms for that sort of money in other European cities. I personally think it was overpriced by about £200.

Really quirky and fun hotel. The decor is all travel themed and it’s been done with taste and attention to detail. The staff aren’t much in evidence but we didn’t have a problem with that, when we wanted a drink, we got one. We ate breakfast out but it looked good and was busy. |The rooms are on the small side but were fine for the little time we spent there. |Really good location for sightseeing

Very nice hotel in a great location. Rooms are clean, simple & efficient. Breakfast is very good. Only one issue. The girl working the downstairs bar area on Saturday Dec 6 about 7PM was extremely unpleasant . She seemed very bothered by our presence. She was more interested in folding napkins than helping us. All the other staff were very friendly & kind. She is the reason I did not give 5 stars.

This hotel is a gem! My wife and I were thrilled with all aspects of our stay. The service orientation of the staff is fantastic! We received a wonderful greeting upon arrival by Amadea and Leon. Hozan was excellent throughout our stay, Alex was wonderful in the restaurant. ||Our room was very comfortable and very clean! The heart of Vienna, lined with sidewalk cafes, cathedrals and shops, was literally within a 5-minute walk. ||Highly recommended!

PROS: Phenomenal location, easy short walk to key sights. Beautiful, modern and clean interior design, bars and furnishings. Loft room 410 was stunning and had separated shower and loo. Quiet rooms, blackout blinds, lots of space. Bright. Breakfast was additional cost but delicious (perhaps not quite worth the €24 pp). Brilliant shower pressure, truly one of the best I’ve used. Bed was comfortable too. Two duvets was ideal for my partner and I!||CONS: Asking staff to replenish hot beverage station at breakfast repeatedly wasn’t totally ideal. A few small stains on bed linen. Lots of road noise if windows were open at night. A little warm and stuffy in rooms at night on occasion. Main entrance is unusual but once you’re used to it it’s great. Couldn’t turn on festoon lights on roof terrace so it was very dark out there at night. Couldn’t connect tv to hotel WiFi so we couldn’t airplay tv shows from our phones to tv.

We feel in love with the Ruby Lissa, the hotel is so fun and quirky. The rooms were modern and perfectly stocked. The two hotel bars were set up with a mixture of furniture giving you comfortable space for a group, couple or yourself. The best part of our stay was Charlie, a true cocktail mixologist. Charlie was delightful, she went above and beyond to make the best cocktails I have ever had. We enjoyed it so much we went back both nights we stayed.

Unfortunately, my stay at this hotel was very disappointing. The concept is “self-service,” but it is executed completely wrong. Self-service should mean smooth check-in/check-out and well-organized public storage areas for towels, tissues, and other amenities. Instead, they simply unlock a basic towel storage room and leave you to search for what you need, with no signage or directions at all. The room itself was extremely bare. There was no phone to contact reception or any other department, no kettle, and literally nothing except a bed with a very uncomfortable mattress and mismatched pillows. Check-out time is 11:00 AM, whereas the global standard is usually 12:00 PM. When I asked reception for housekeeping service, they promised to come but no one ever showed up. In the end, I had to change the bed linens myself and get fresh towels and tissues from the public storage area—after searching for it on my own. Privacy was also completely disregarded. Even though I placed a “Do Not Disturb” sign on my door, I was surprised when housekeeping knocked after I had already cleaned the room myself on the third day. Thirty minutes later, the receptionist also knocked on my door again. Honestly, there is no respect for privacy or even the basic principles of hospitality. A very poor experience, and I would not recommend this hotel.

Yelp
We enjoyed our stay at Ruby Lissi. The entrance was definitely pretty sketchy feeling, especially after getting off an overnight flight from the US. We were able to "store" our bags while we waited for our room to be ready. The bags were just tagged sitting in the lobby, and my American brain felt that wasn't the safest, but whatever. The rooms were a good size, but I found the set up of the shower and toilet very awkward. Depending on who you're traveling with, it could be concerning, as it's not very private. There was also construction going on, so it was a bit loud in the mornings

Yelp
Stayed here for 3 nights in July 2018. I don't have enough good things to say about the location (right next to the metro and the river) and the cleanliness. The hotel is extremely modern and the staff are very helpful. There is a self check-in process, which is quick and easy (and located conveniently in the bar). They also offer reasonably priced bike rentals, which is a great way to see the city. The rooms themselves are very clean, reasonably spacious, and have an array of amenities. One thing to note about the room layout, however, is that it boasts partially private en suite bathrooms - the toilet is private, however, the curtain only wraps halfway around the transparent shower stall, so if you are sharing the room with anyone other than your significant other, you should keep in mind that you'll need to set ground rules for staying far away from the bath side of the room when someone is in the shower! I was staying with a close friend, so it didn't bother us too much, but this may be a deterrent for some. The room amenities were top notch - this hotel provides "Handy" phones for guest use - something that I hadn't seen before. These smartphones are fully equipped with cellular service and 3G, meaning you can bring them around the city with you to use for phone calls, Google Maps, etc (and save your own battery for photos)! The room also had a tablet in it for ordering room service and browsing the internet, however, I didn't find it to have as much utility, and could've gone without - especially in lieu of including a different amenity, like in-room coffee. All in all, the attention to detail, modern amenities and location made this hotel a place I would love to return to, and certainly will be recommending to others.

Yelp
So much yes for this hotel, where do I start? First impression - As soon as you walk in you know you're going to love it. The decor is perfect, adorable and so much to take in. You realize the lobby is a bar and a restaurant so you can tell it's able to transform. It's kind of a weird entrance before you get inside - but don't let that worry you. Check In - The staff were all very sweet. It's basically self check in (bonus for those of us who don't need small talk), and you get your key sent out as if it's a vending machine. So new age, I totally loved it. I had put a request in with the reservation to check in early, and they accommodated - yay! The room - well first thing is they give you a PHONE to use in the city. In case you need to make calls or use the GPS. It was an Andriod, but I won't hold that against them because it did everything I needed to not get lost. I thought this was totally something that "wow'd" me and exceeded my expectations. There was a music player of some kind that would stream or place an older i device. I didn't really utilize it, but I appreciated that it was there. The decor - so modern, incredibly clean - I loved this too. The room was small so it was perfect as a solo traveler, and would be good enough to share with my partner. Might be a little tight to share with a friend. Plus, the shower is completely glass and shares that glass wall with the living room - I love rooms like this. Romantic, again not to share with a friend. The breakfast - was a bit pricey, but it was buffet and they had a tea buffet that you literally got your own ingredients and filled your own bag. Was totally a fan of mixing flavors, didn't regret that decision at all. The food was versatile and somewhat healthy, I was definitely a fan. Normally, I try not to pay for hotel food because you miss out on a restaurant - but this was well worth it. The staff was sweet and helped me with restaurant recs from authentic, to street food to cool ambiance, I wish I could have tried more. Location was perfect - so close to the train and so close to the walking and biking tour I took. I would 10000% stay here again when visiting Vienna next time! Tea/coffee bar - I almost forgot about this so I had to edit. On the top floor they have a bar area to get fresh teas and coffees - unlimited and always hot. There is a vending machine for random things like food and shoes, but you pay for those things. Do not miss out on the tea/coffee!

Yelp
Initially... I was worried because the entrance is a bit... sketchy to say the least. BUT once you walk into the hotel, it's very hip and classy! The room is also very clean and chic. Just be aware that the shower room is not completely covered, so if you're staying with a friend, could get a bit weird. They also have a device with Wifi, which you can use outside of the hotel during your stay at this hotel in case you're worried about going over your data. I'd totally go back to this hotel!!

Yelp
Enjoyed my stay with Ruby Lissi. The room is very modern and comfortable with nice sized bed and large rain shower. Breakfast was very nice with all local and organic items. Dani at reception was more than helpful in giving guidance around the city and purchasing a bus ticket for me. She deserves a nice raise
