Ruby Mimi Hotel & Bar

I gotta tell you. This hotel has been such a find. A hidden gem, a sanctuary for cool vibes and what a welcoming and helpful staff (Lena and Becky - looking at you specifically!). We are walking distance to everything which really solidifies the five stars I gave for location. The rooms are cozy (you must unpack slightly because a bag suitcase opened up in the room takes up way too much space!). No notes; no critiques, all the love. So glad we stayed here. And I will only stay here for any future Zurich trips I may have. OH AND I ALMOST FORGOT TO MENTION THE AMENITIES. Their bath products (lotions, shampoo, soap) are very high quality. In the shower, they give you two different body washes to choose base on your mood. So clutch.

We had a lovely stay at Ruby Mimi Hotel Zurich. The location was perfect — close to the main station and convenient for exploring the city. The room was spotless and modern, with great amenities that made our stay comfortable. The service was generally good, though check-in could be a little more welcoming. Overall, it’s a stylish and cozy hotel that I would happily return to.

Chan was great! We absolutely loved this hotel. The service was excellent, the design is beautiful, and the amenities are outstanding — including a movie theater, coffee and tea room, and a stunning 24-hour bar, just to name a few. Breakfast was wonderful as well. We were only there for one night before an early flight, but it was the perfect stay. I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Zurich, and I will definitely stay here again for a longer visit next time!

This is a great hotel, located close to the train and bus stations, so walking around to see the many museum's, historical buildings/churches and lake is doable. the hotel has a cute theatre that shows a movie every night an even gives popcorn to enjoy with a galley station on reach room floor for free tea and sparkling or still water to enjoy complimentary. The rooms have a little patio with table and chairs as well. I recommend staying there. Clean and eco friendly as well. The hotel check in staff was friendly and very accommodating as well.

This is my/our 5th stay at the Ruby Mimi in Zurich, three times solo on business and two times with my wife. The location is unbeatable, right in the centre of Zurich and very close to the train station and Bahnhofstrasse. The rooms are well maintained. The concept of the hotel is particular and may not be everyone's cup of tea. Reception and bar are combined, the bar personnel doubles as reception / concierge and the room layout, in particular the toilet and shower, is unusual. Have a look at the pictures provided by the hotel to see if this works for you. It definitely saves space!||What is new and welcomed is that dogs are now allowed in a particular room category. For our short visits, this hotel works well for us. Pricing was a bit higher than usual, but we booked relatively late. The parking discount available at Urania Parking is definitely welcomed. We also tried the Dupont Brasserie (not related to the hotel) next door and were not impressed by the meal we received.

I had a wonderful experience at Ruby Mimi Hotel in Switzerland. We visited the bar for drinks, and everything was excellent, from the cozy, elegant atmosphere to the overall vibe of the place. What truly made this experience exceptional, however, was the staff, and especially Aphrodite and Stella. Both of them were absolutely amazing,extremely friendly, attentive, professional, and genuinely warm. From the very first moment, they made us feel welcome and comfortable, always with a smile and a positive energy that really stood out. Their service was impeccable, they paid attention to every detail, were quick, caring, and clearly passionate about what they do. It’s rare to come across staff members who leave such a strong and lasting impression, but Aphrodite and Stella truly did. They elevated the entire experience and turned a simple drink into a memorable moment. The drinks were delicious and perfectly prepared, and combined with the excellent service, the whole visit felt special. Thanks to them, Ruby Mimi Hotel is a place I would happily return to and highly recommend to anyone visiting Switzerland.

By complete accident using HotelTonight on a business trip to Zurich in June 2024, I came across this quirky hotel that is centrally located adjacent to the Limmat River & its gorgeous bridges. The hotel is within a 2 minute walk walk of the Central Train Station/rail transit and every shopping option one might need in Zurich. The Mimi Ruby Hotel is modern (i.e. clean & fresh), but has a lovely historic renovation of a an old fashioned Cineplex which has kept the bones of its original interior vaulted ceilings with black walls, deep red velvet, and comfy sofas throughout the lobby with vintage popcorn makers. The people at the front desk, particularly Moritz & Lena, were BOTH beyond helpful, friendly, cool, resourceful, and responsive to anything I needed. They were among the nicest hotel hosts I've encountered and not overly formal. The young women behind the counter - the baristas Julianne (who looks like Billie Eilish) & Afroditi , always smiling and would remember what I order the prior day. The buffet breakfast - replete with lovely omelettes, an incredible assortment of Swiss breads (e.g Hefezopf) and about 16 jars of an array of jams, Muesli, flax & chia seeds, overnight oats, yogurts, etc were a smorgasbord. They also have all charcuterie, fruits, sweets, and Streudels. I would order an Americano every AM and was incredibly well roasted/pressed. Lastly, they feature a film every night in an adorable little theater on the 2nd floor with reclined comfortable seats and vintage, current (e.g.Star is Born, Grand Budapest Hotel), nostalgic films (e.g. Back to the Future) make the entire experience really nice for movie lovers. They have vintage popcorn makers in the lobby and a super cool key card maker at the front desk for self check-in that reads, "Stars are Born, not Made". Rebecca, the super charming & friendly night manager, even served me a drink after a long day of work as the place was clearing out. 5 STARS TO THE SERVICE AT THIS HOTEL. Didn't encounter one issue during my stay and all friendly, warm, & lovely.

Great central location within easy walking distance of the station. Much bigger than I thought. Very polite and efficient service. We went for a ‘Wow’ room which wasn’t as big or luxurious as the pictures had led us to believe. Surprisingly it had no wardrobes and worst of all no coffee making facilities nor water. There was instant coffee available in a ‘galley’ area downstairs which was messy. Tap water is fine if course but glasses and or a carafe would have been good.
