The room was very small, one side of the bed was against the wall and I could just barely get out of bed on my side. The room has this “instagrammable” “cool” vibe with lights around the mirror (like in the movie star’s changing room, yay!) and Marshall speakers, funny-ish messages (“blow me away” written on the bag where the hair dryer is kept -creative!). The bar looks cozy and cool (would have preferred some natural light!)||Prepare to navigate a very small space, especially for a couple. There were plumbing issues in our toilet/bathroom.|Our departure for the airport was very early (4:30 am) so we asked for a knock on a door at 4 am. No one knocked on a door to wake us up. Of course, we had our alarms set, but it’s the matter of attentiveness to guests and their needs. The staff arranged the taxi, at least, but I’d advise against asking them to book a ride to the airport for you. Do it yourself and check the price. The taxi driver arranged for us by the hotel charged us €55 euro for a 20 min ride. I think this is way too pricey and not in the “lean luxury” spirit, whatever it means. |I am glad we did not opt for breakfast. Thought that charging over €20 euro per person is extortionate. We went to another place a short walk from the hotel and had option to just have a|Porridge and coffee (cheaper) or eggs Benedict or such, for less than €20 euro.

We stayed at the Ruby Sofie for a short escape. Arriving, we were greeted by a very stylish and artsy reception area. Followed by a very warm welcome from the staff. Location is great. Walking distance from the hustle and bustle of the center but also quiet enough to relax. The rooms are by definition shick minimal and are exactly what you need. A huge thank you to the team who made our stay extra special with their attentiveness and their warmth. Making us feel welcome and at home! Sofie, Juls, Nara, Andreas, Emilia, Martin and last but not least Maria (Thank you for the introduction) you guys ROCK!

The hotel is in a great location, within walking distance of Wien Mitte (CAT to the airport). Very nice atmosphere and efficient check-in and check-out. Staff are very friendly and courteous. The rooms are okay, but mine was quite worn (broken switch, stained curtains, etc.).

First time in Vienna — so glad we picked Ruby Sophie! A very nice hotel that perfectly combines historic charm with modern comfort. The location is fantastic, close to everything. The staff, including Maki, Emi, and Henry, were all very welcoming and informative at both the bar and check-in. Special shoutout to Maki for his excellent service and our great, wide-ranging late-night conversation! He truly made our stay memorable. We’ll definitely return! (Only small note: the shower stalls sometimes leak a little)

Raul and Hendrik were serving the bar when I got an old fashion. It’s the perk of a free drink voucher when not requiring room cleaning. They were attentive and so friendly! The hotel bar is beautiful, same with the room. The room also has an old school looking Bluetooth speaker, that has excellent acoustic! Highly recommend the place, not only because of the facility but also great location. 10-15 min walking away from the City Airport Train!

I really enjoyed my stay. I prefer small hotels over bigger ones because I don't need anything extra. If you need special treatment or extra requests this isn't for you. Small hotel with all the necessities. I didn't try their breakfast, but would like to in the future, it looked good. They stored my luggage until it was check in time, much appreciated. The bed was super comfy, AC worked! They have a cute sun roof area and yoga outdoor space. Close to the mall and CAT train to the airport. Love the quiet location away from the tourist areas, but you can still walk to them!

Our stay at the hotel was pleasant. Check-in was easy, great location in a quiet neighborhood, and close to public transportation options. The hotel room was very clean and had exactly what we needed. The bathroom /shower set up was a little weird and not ideal but we made it work. We enjoyed our time at the bar for fresh cocktails that were amazing. Raul was awesome, he was very polite and put a lot of effort in making our drinks. Juls was very polite at check-in and helped answer our questions about our stay. Overall we would definitely stay at the hotel again if we come back to visit Vienna from California

Yelp
I stayed here the past two nights with my wife while visiting Vienna. Upon entering the hotel we had to take a lift up to the 1st floor. Once we had made it there check in was a breeze. As a matter of a fact you could use the touchscreen device to check in and even print the keycards for your room. The check in area doubled as both a bar and the breakfast area. In the US we would have called it trendy and hipster and I think that it would have fit right into the Kimpton or Ace hotel groups. Our room ended up being on the fifth floor and we had to pass both a sun terrace and a yoga terrace. Whenever we made it to our room we entered to the music of the radio that was on in the hall. They actually had a Samsung Galaxy tied to the lock. Unfortunately, I ended up having some issues with it turning on in the middle of the night but powering it off quickly solved that. Our room itself was different and interesting. There was a large flat screen tv on a desk and then side by side shower and toilet areas. These were both quite ample in size but the weird thing was that the toilet only had frosted glass outside of it while the shower had clear glass and a curtain to pull over it. Rounding out the room was the sink/mirror area. The bed in the room ended up being comfortable although I found it weird that a room for 2 would have 1 normal sized pillow and 1 mini pillow on the bed. Both the bathroom and sink had ample amounts of soap and other toiletries in them. The bottom line for me is that I would come back here again in the future and would recommend everyone else to as well. If I had stayed here in the US I would have expected droves of hipsters around but this place seemed to cater to both the business and vacation crowd, none of which were actually hipsters. Due to that I really ended up enjoying the vibe of this place and I feel like we got good value for our money.

Yelp
Value, value, value. Excellent choice. Stayed for three nights and enjoyed the room, food, drinks and service. Only con for us was elevator was a little slow but that didn't take away from our stay. We weren't in a rush on vacation.
