Ruby's Express

My mom wanted a burger for lunch so we went to Ruby's Diner. When I asked about the chicken strips they said they were really good but those were the best chicken strips I've ever had. They were so tender and delicious and the breading was also good. The customer service was also great. Ruby's Diner is a must try!

We had the mushroom swiss burger and the classic cheeseburger with fries. The food was made fresh and hot! The fries were crispy and delicious. The burgers were saucy. We had a great lunch!

If I could leave negative stars I would. I never leave a bad review but for this instance it’s warranted and deserves a bad review. I ordered the chicken tenders which immediately looked questionable when receiving but also tasted horrible. The next morning I woke up in the worst pain with throwing up and horrible diarrhea keep in mind I am also 31 weeks pregnant. Extremely dangerous for me to get food poisoning also being a high risk pregnancy to begin with. It got so bad I ended up admitted to the hospital with dehydration and contractions almost put me in early labor. I couldn’t even keep water down. Do not eat here. This place could have caused serious medical issues for myself and baby. I’m disgusted. Worst food poisoning of my life.

In an otherwise humdrum food court, Ruby's stands out in the quality and care they put into their food. The burger was cooked and seasoned just right, and the bun toasted perfectly. Friendly folks at the counter too.

Delicious burger, delicious shake, friendly service, and gluten free catered for.....that is a gluten free bun that I’ve had there. And it tasted soooo good. Thanks so much guys :)

We stop in at Anthem outlet stores a lot of way home from Phoenix. I know eating at Ruby's express is a good choice. Had the Hickory Burger and it was very good. The barbecue sauce on it added to not only the flavor of the burger but also the flavor of the bacon on the burger. Got my burger with cheese fries, which were a fantastic side.

Took our grandkids for the special anthem community order and they loved it! Our granddaughter kept saying it was the best burger she's ever had. Our grandson ate every bit of his cheeseburger and fries and managed to finish his sister's fries as well. Nice clean food court in the outlet malls and it was a good way to get them out of the house

just wanted to take a moment to recognize Brooke from Anthem, who works as a cashier at Ruby's. Every time I come in, she is consistently friendly, efficient, and professional. She always greets customers with a warm smile and makes the checkout process quick and smooth, even during busy hours. Brooke has a great attitude and genuinely seems to care about providing great service. She's attentive, accurate with orders, and never misses a detail. It's clear she takes pride in her work, and it really makes a difference in the customer experience. Ruby's is lucky to have someone like Brooke on their team. She definitely deserves recognition for the great job she does!

I tried Ruby's Express for the first (and last) time, and it was a total disappointment. I ordered their "new" chicken tenders -- got 3 sad little pieces that were basically all breading with barely any chicken inside. The fries? Cold, soggy, and tasted like they'd been sitting around all day. And for this, I paid $17.73. I wouldn't feed this to my worst enemy. Save your money and go literally anywhere else.

Here's the issues with Ruby's: Burger is too small and not a lot of flavor. The combo is $13 which is about $3 more than a combo at In&Out which is far better both the burger and the fries. Rubys burger you don't even get onions on the burger. Ruby's either needs to drop their price for the combo to $10 or make a better/slightly larger burger. Best would be a combination of both. Go $11 with a larger better tasting burger with the usual toppings. As it stands hard to go there and spend $53 for 3 combos when it's less than that for 4 combo meals at In&Out. And to add insult there computer asks you for a tip AND they put a tip jar out. For what? They aren't providing service where they bring the food to you, offer refills, and or clean up your table. 2 stars because the employees were nice but that's really it.

Yesterday we chose Ruby express in Anthem for a Sunday family treat! Well it was unfortunately a waist of 65$ the food was so incredibly salty it was inedible! Really sucks to waist money like that! Next time we will choose a different choice in the food court!!!!

Location Location Location Based on this location Ruby's does what it can when it can. The true Ruby's experience includes sitting down and enjoying the entire Ruby's diner experience. This Ruby's a mini version of the real thing. Food is good, service was absolutely excellent. Will visit again. Jordan

As a former So Cal resident, I wanted to try this place as I have many fond memories of several Ruby's Diners mostly near the beach. That is NOT what this is - just a stand in a mall food court - food was a big disappointment & way, way too much money for what & where it is. Do not recommend!

Food was surprisingly great I really enjoyed my burger and fries. Not bad for a food court restaurant

The fries were utterly flavorless and bland. Tastes like they were partially steamed and that's it. They must have a talent to make fries so flavorless. The chicken was burnt and the breading was falling off. The burger tasted like a burnt brick. The ketchup tasted like uncooked condensed tomato soup. The chocolate shake was adequate. The guy that took our order looks like the guy from inside out.

Use to love this place. Now they switched to frozen products. Complete garbage and totally false advertising in the pictures! Works are nice though

This was the absolute worst burger I ever had! No taste and for over $15. Maybe it was because they were getting ready to close but no excuse.

the burger definitaly has... flaws. their chicken tenders are no chicken all tender. the fries are good but not enough salt but shakes are really good. 3$ for a regular drink is lowkey crazy. customer service is also butt

Worst burger I have ever had. First and only time I will ever eat at one of these places. Cooked fresh but cold cheese and tasted like it was 3 days old. My dog wouldn't even eat it. Had a classic with cheese. Almost eight bucks for food that was worse than skunk roadkill. Should have gone to In n Out.

Chicken was raw, thankfully I ripped them apart to let them cool down and lost my appetite when I saw the undercooked chicken. Usually I would let this slide but I guess this is a reoccurring problem at this location.

Stopped in for a quick dinner while shopping with my kids. 2 stars is for the food, not the service, which was fast and friendly, and food came out very quickly. I'd give 5 stars for the service!! We ordered 2 burger combos, and a chicken sandwich. The burgers were soooooo tiny! Like really tiny!! Maybe 1/8 lb burgers, at best. The chicken breast was also teeny tiny. While the flavor of the meats were good, the portions were so ridiculously small that we won't be back. Plus the fries tasted like ones that you'd bake in an oven at home.

My daughter just tried to place an order for some onion rings and she was told that they close in 40 minutes so they are no longer taking orders. So exactly what does it mean to be open? That people are allowed inside? Maybe your posted hours should reflect the kitchen closing time, like at a bar. We used to live in San Diego and frequently went to Ruby's. Never realized it took 40 minutes for an order of onion rings. They better be the most amazing onion rings in existence. Although, I can make onion rings, from scratch at home, in less time. Sounds more like the staff had already cleaned up and were too lazy to wash more dishes. Oh well. We know to never go back.

We miss The full Ruby's Diner in AZ, but happy to have discovered this Ruby's Express. They don't have the full menu- miss the turkey burgers but the RubyBurger is great. Fries are amazing as well as the chicken strips- so moist and yummy! We had two great guys at the cashier today too. They kept proving us more ranch and ketchup because there were 4 of us and ran out fast.

Very good service and very well ran by the manager. Food is very good and fries are crispy. Definitely recommend the chicken breast sandwich! Great service as well

My daughter and order the chicken tender basket with fries and a drink while school shopping today. The chicken was slimy with the breading falling off. Looked under cooked. Paid almost $13.00 for a basket of unsalted first and a small drink. Skip this joint. No accomodations offered.

Excellent food. Shakes were really good. The staff is super friendly. Will Always choose Ruby's over any other local burger place. Now they have hot dogs and chicken sandwiches which are equally as good. Wish they would open more in AZ.

So the food was pretty descent. We sat at the counter and it was super sticky! We ordered shakes and some food. I have to say I was disappointed in the shakes. The taste was good however the cups are only about 3/4 full. It's fluffy and when you put your spoon in it. It just smashes down. At 4.00 each on the oreo fill it up. Other wise the staff was friendly.

I made a very large order that included the $12 chicken strip basket. I asked for honey mustard dipping sauce for the strips and was told it's extra. I asked if one came with the basket and was rudely told no. The manager aggressively yelled that all sauces are extra and sarcastically asked if I still wanted them. Not going back. Plus, the strips were overcooked and the fries had no salt on them. Save yourself the headache and go somewhere else.

Amazing food and customer service and the best shakes the banana shake is my personal favorite

These are mediocre burgers. Nothing special nothing too gross either. Just a basic burger. Reminded me of Johnny rockets sort of. The service was fast and friendly. The menu is simple and easy to read.

I am from Los Angeles but now live in AZ so this is not my first time to a Ruby's. I had the hickory burger and fries and it was equally great to the Los Angeles locations. The menu is a little more limited because it is a express location but that won't stop me from coming back. Holden in the front took my order, was very friendly and made sure everything was on point. Ruben in the kitchen got the food out quick and again everything tasted great!

The food is really good here but the customer service really really sucks here, I stood infront of the counter for about 4-6 minutes waiting for the reddish/ginger hair girl to pay attention to her customer it was visible that she had airpods on as well as being on her phone. When she approched us after having to shout to her she was short and she seemed unhappy about having to take an order that was jus 1 item. I work in the restaurant industry and well i doubt youll get much business with that kind of customer service

I've been to different Ruby's locations before and always like them, but whatever they did to those burgers at the Anthem location was phenomenal! I ordered a bacon cheeseburger and it was so good that after I finished, I had to go back and order another one. So delicious and only 3 bucks. Shout out to Luke and Ruben. Ruben was the cashier and I think one of the managers on duty, and Luke was cooking. Great burgers, great service, and very affordable. 5 stars ya'all.

Located in the Food Court at the Anthem Outlets Mall at I-17 and Anthem Way. Ruby's is one of a small number of fast food options at the food court... My recommendation is to find a different option. The burger I had was obviously cooked well before I ordered it - as was the bacon with which it was adorned. Ruby's burgers appear to be well below Smashburger and In and Out Burger in quality and taste; It's closer to Jack in the Box and McDonald's. The soft drink was small and inadequate to wash down the overcooked and dry burger I was served. The meal my wife and I had was overpriced and forgettable. There are much better places to eat... and I will not be returning to Ruby's.

Super bomb strawberry shake. Originally was told to try the chicken tenders by a friend so pretty bummed they were out today. Ordered a chicken sandwich combo...crispy bread, awesome sauce, definitely satisfied

Excellent dining experience! Food was delicious, no complaints whatsoever! I had a double cheeseburger, chocolate milkshake and fries. Daniel was incredibly up-beat and made ordering my food so easy! Daniel made my day with his positive attitude and helpful personality! Thanks for a great meal!

We love eating here. I have had the mushroom burger with fries and also the hickory burger and fries. My husband always get the guacamole burger and fries. The meals are always perfect and the staff are awesome!!!!! We look forward to a reason to eat here. Love it!!!!!

A total fail for Ruby's! Ordered $50 worth of food through Door Dash with special instructions for one burger, no sauce. They couldn't get that simple task right! Saturated with sauce and cold fries, the entire $9.50 meal had to be tossed! Then, bit into the Guac Burger and it was RAW! I had to toss that $9.50 meal too! Called the restaurant, they admitted they SAW INSTRUCTIONS and ignored them and they wanted me to PICK UP new food. I called Door Dash because I could not pick up the order! Three different people talked to me at Ruby's and not a one of them had a clue about how to take responsibility for their actions. Clearly these people need training in how to run a restaurant. The Health Dept might be interested in their poor food preparation practices...

Growing up, I used to eat at the Ruby's Diner on Balboa Pier all the time. When I found out that the outlet mall was not only going to put a burger place, but a Ruby's Diner, I was very excited. I ate there on the first day it opened and was very impressed with their staff and food. My only hope is that they add a few salads and sandwiches to their menu!

The burgers were fresh and flavorful. Fries were good too. Everything was made to order and made quickly. No complaints about service. It's still a fast food burger, but way better than your average.

Stopped for a quick bite on our way out of town this evening after shopping at the outlets here in Anthem. The young girl at the counter was not one bit of friendly. Not a single smile on her face, not a "hello", not a single greeting. She just waited for us to approach her ourselves to order. Every remark from her was "Ok". That was the only response she gave us to anything we said while ordering. She made us feel unwelcome and uncomfortable. I attempted to make eye contact and smile and she looked extremely unhappy to be working the counter. We asked for no sauce on the burger we ordered, no ruby sauce. When we made that request she stood there with her arms crossed and said "ok" but didn't touch her screen to modify anything from what we noticed and didn't tell the cooks behind her either. We hoped maybe she was going to notify then eventually some way. We get our food and sure enough there was sauce on the burger. While approaching her to tell her about the sauce on the burger she again just responded with "ok" and walked off with the burger. Within 1 min the burger was magically ready again and it was pretty obvious that the burger was wiped off, not remade. This was upsetting and disappointing. This was brought to the staffs attention and the girl tried to argue the fact stating "no I'm pretty sure it was remade".. we then just requested a refund because she tried to say the white sauce came from avocado which made zero sense as the avocado was clearly on the other side of the patty and avocado is green as we all know. She had no empathy and no customer service skills. This all resulted in requesting a refill and not once was an apology made. She walked off to laugh and smirk with the cooks in the back as if this was just a hilarious joke. Unfortunately didn't get her name but she was a thin dark haired girl who was actually really pretty but had a horrible personality in customer service. Was working about 5:30pm. I highly recommend a pep talk with her on customer service skills Or we won't be the only complaint she receives resulting in people leaving bad reviews like this. Super unfortunate and horrible disappointing service.

I really enjoyed the burgers and shake. The fries were ok but the burger and shake were great. They were busy but did a good job. The customer service was fast and friendly. I will go here again. I loved the chocolate shake.

I have had an opportunity to speak with a shift supervisor with Ruby's Express and he addressed my concerns with real sincerity and an assurance that this has been discussed with team members. The Saturday I visited they were really busy, due to a huge mall event, and they were not at their best. He has asked me to give them a second chance, and based on his reaction to my concerns, we will try again. They do make a really good milkshake, and I did not get to try the fries, so I will visit mid-week.

Burger 6 bucks, combo 8 bucks. Bacon cheeseburger 7.50, combo 10.50. I asked why it was an extra buck on the combo because I wanted the bacon cheeseburger. Do I get extra fries? No, it's the same combo. So you lost a sale because I'm not spending an extra buck for air.

My husband ordered a cheeseburger. I got a burrito from the Mexican place down the way. I received and finished my burrito before his burger was ready. when his order finally arrived, it was a meat patty on a bun. Just a meat patty on a bun. So he took it back to exchange it for the cheeseburger he ordered. Then he was served a meat patty with cheese on a bun. Nothing more. When he asked about the missing lettuce and tomato, as shown on the menu, the manager got defensive, insisted on refunding his money, and said he had to leave or she would call security. We won't be back.

Nothing like the ones in CA. It only offers like 5 burgers and 5 shakes. Not the full menu at the full restaurant. I don't care for their burgers at all and the employees customer service skills are not good. They act like they don't want to be there or help you.
