Rudas Bistro

We found the perfect spot for dining outdoors on an elevated terrace overlooking the Danube River and downtown Budapest! Other than at the top of Castle Hill, we had a hard time finding outdoor spaces for dining with a nice view of the river. The patio here was shaded and provided the perfect atmosphere for a relaxing lunch with a spectacular view. The food was delicious and the service was the best we've had in Budapest. Our server Nori was wonderful, friendly, efficient and spoke perfect English. The restaurant is on the second level of Rudas Baths, a three story historic spa with baths dating back to 1550. While some guests of the baths were dining at the restaurant, the restaurant is open to everyone and has a modern decor and even an elevator. I would highly recommend this to anyone wanting to enjoy dining outdoors in Budapest with a spectacular view. They also have indoor dining with windows overlooking the river. We would love to come back here sometime for dinner and see everything lit up on the river. We will definitely be back!

Every time I'm in Budapest I have to make a visit to the best Turkish baths in my opinion! I do the package that involves full service access to wellness baths and Turkish bath rooms and later after I have soaked to my content, I get to enjoy a scheduled all inclusive lunch. Heaven!

lovely food and service. we came after the spa which is equally lovely. we had burgers (which were great) and tried both desserts. service was very friendly and the restaurant itself was very nice.

a restaurant within bath facility. Excellent place for after bath. The view of Danube frontside is nice. Only few outdoor balcony places . The English speaking service is excellent . As usual in most restaurants of Budapest , always big quantity.

Having a 3-course meal at the bistro, you will absolutely NOT go hungry, in Hungary. Also, friendly and attentive servers. 10/10 recommend Rudas thermal baths, and 10/10 recommend Rudas bistro.

We had lunch here, the appetizer gazpacho soup which actually was a cold sweet tomato soup and didn’t come with cheesy crispy crusty bread but with two slices of regular baguette. On the main course the wiener snitzel was dry and too thin. The Rudas burger was good but served with some mayonnaise ready from the store. Dessert well presented but none of them edible.

Came here as a family treat and could not be more impressed! The service is brilliant, the spa is fabulous with spectacular views but the food... huge portions and really tasty! Highly recommend coming here 👌

Rudas Bistro offers a lovely dining experience with an amazing view and an even better team. The food was good, fresh, well-prepared, and nicely presented, but what really stood out was the service. The staff were genuinely warm, attentive, and made the whole experience feel special. You can tell they care about the guests, not just the plates. Definitely a place I’d come back to, especially for the atmosphere and the people who make it so welcoming.
