The pizza was amazing – fresh, tasty, and just what we needed. Campana is very good dish 💗 But what made the whole experience even better was waitress lovely service. They are so warm, friendly, and sincere. You could really feel their heart in what they does. I’ll be back again for sure, and I’ll tell my friends too. A place with great food and even greater people. Thank you for giving me a good experience which feeling i am in Italy 🇮🇹 the staff her name meaning “ white and pure” which is very nice to us Feel warm and passionate indeed .

A+ place, I wish I lived here in Manchester, I’d be here every week. The staff were wonderful and genuinely lovely. Food came out in a timely manner, and the tables and utensils and condiments were clean. Best meal of my trip. Worth a visit!

Been meaning to try this franchise for a while after hearing great things. And it didn't disappoint at all. The pizza was absolutely delicious, and very authentic to the original Napoletana traditions and flavours. The staff were all lovely and helpful, the setting felt very rustic and tasteful. The dips were even delicious, we tried all three - standout was the Nduja Aioli though. I'll be back, highly recommended

Fantastic meal at Rudys this evening! We had the Triple Pepperoni and Salsiccia plus the rocket salad - all incredible and super quick service. Staff the end, we treated ourselves to a tiramisu which was really good!! Staff were very friendly and attentive. Super fab!! Definitely recommend this place🤩

Really friendly staff and amazing pizza. This is the best vegan pizza I have tried yet, and I'm a regular at a different pizza restaurant so making your pizza my new favourite is difficult to achieve. I'll be back! Thank you for a lovely first of many visits to come.

Thank you so much for the lovely surprise of a cake I cream and candle for Gwiza, we are great we chose Rudy’s for his last meal as a 9year old. Pizza as ever was top notch and the drinks were on point and you crowned it with the card and cake from all the staff. Thanks once again

Yelp
Great pizza and quick. Stopped by randomly while looking for dinner in Manchester and was pleasantly surprised.

Yelp
A reasonably priced pizzeria with a great selection of drinks. The menu is slightly limited but apart from that great food.

Yelp
I was FINALLY able to try Rudy's, even though the universe seemed to be against me the whole time but I finally got in. I've wanted to try this place for some time now, and every time I see people in Manchester asking about the best pizza places, Rudy's is always peoples number one choice. I made a point to want to go there on this visit, so I did everything I needed to do in the city, and then headed over for when it opened so I knew I would be able to get a table. A few people went in before me and the staff member was talking to people a little bit so I had a feeling something was wrong. When I got to the them, it turns out the pizza oven wasn't turning on so there would have been a minimum of 30 minute delay, I could be seated but they couldn't do any orders until the people in had sorted out the problem. I decided to go off and do something else (there's an amazing coffee shop around the corner so I went there for a bit) and then return when, hopefully, it was all fixed. I was gone around 40-45 minutes and when I walked down the street, alongside the extractor vents, I could smell pizza so knew it was all working. When I got in, there was a lot more people inside so it must have been fixed pretty quick and people were going for food. I got seated at the bar area, which was actually where a group of chefs were making the pizzas. I was in front of the one shaping the dough into the pizza shape. I felt a bit awkward looking at them so did it a bit slyly out the corner of my eye. They weren't looking at me so maybe it was as uncomfortable for them as me ... or maybe its just me being an awkward person at a new place. Looking at the menu there was a lot of choice. All of it seemed authentic Neapolitan pizza which Ive never had before so it was new to me. The menu was extensive and I decided to go for good old fashioned basic. HOWEVER, it turns out I ordered even more basic as I got the marinara rather than the margarita ... I did order that but didn't realise the marinara was without cheese. SO that was a shock at first but MY GOD it was delicious. Perfectly cooked and I could see them cooking it, perfect amount of garlic shavings and basil and the sauce and base was to die for. I can see why people say its the best, and there was a number of delivery or to take out orders as a staff member was constantly going out with piles of boxes. On the table where I was there was a tomato tin filled with the cutlery and napkins and a giant pizza cutter which I thought was pretty cool, so I was able to slice my own pizza into whatever sized pieces I wanted. Obviously I ate it how it should be eaten (in my opinion)... into slices and picked up and folded and it was great. I also got a jug of water before my order was taken which I love, and went for a simple blood orange san Pellegrino which came with ice and an orange slice. The pizza was around 9 inch I think ... a good size either way and all in all it only came to £10 which was a bargain. I will, for sure, return and maybe get some cheese on it this time ... and maybe mushrooms as the fungi pizza looked amazing (the guy who sat next to me ordered that) and when I can finally move up to Manchester, I shall order from there more often.

Yelp
A nice neighborhood spot for a solid wood fired pizza! We visited at lunch and were seated immediately.

Yelp
So many locals told me about Rudy's when I came to Manchester, and I came on a weekday evening. I got the pizza with aged prosciutto, rocket, and shaved parmesan. The pizza took a bit to come out, and I also asked for spicy oil. The pizza was very soggy in the middle, and the crust was a bit flat as well. The spicy oil was spicy which I appreciated, but the olive oil wasn't super flavorful. Service was alright, although flagging down the waiter for the bill was a bit difficult. Pizza was huge for a good price of less than £11 but it was a pretty average pizza.

Yelp
We had really good time here. The biggest problem was to book, but once you find a slot, everything is easy-peasy. The pizzas a just great, very reasonably priced, and the service is just superb!! They also have outdoor heaters, which is always a bonus!

Yelp
Don't get the margerhita pizza with buffalo mozzarella. Half the pizza won't have cheese and your paying 2.50 extra for it. Really wish they cut the pizza for you. So hard to eat. Pizza was really soggy. Chili honey was good, but they could give me half as much and charge half as much and it would still be plenty. Wine was good for the price. Was disappointed overall given the strong reviews. I guess I'm in the minority here.

Yelp
As I live a stones throw away, Rudy's is our local pizza place.. it's developed quite a reputation for itself and rightly so! Rudy's isn't fancy; it's a no nonsense, 'grab yourself a beer and chill' type of place that serves bloody amazing pizza. It's quite bustling during the day but later on they keep the lights dim and have candles flickering away around the restaurant; it's a really nice laid back vibe. The menu isn't huge but there's enough variety and everything is done well (if you're looking for something a bit different, their specials are always weird and wonderful!) I've never been to Rudy's and left disappointed, it's a winner every time. The only downside is that it's getting more and more popular so there can be quite a wait on a table sometimes but if you've got time; grab yourself a cocktail at Nam or Jayne Eyre then pop over to Rudy's when they're ready for you.. trust me, it's worth the wait!

Yelp
I'd heard plenty of praise for Rudy's, including claims of it being some of the best pizza in Manchester. I've tried plenty of good places so I didn't really take much stock in this until I gave it a try myself. It's in Ancoats, but in a quiet section off a modern square, seemingly away from everything else. It's an unassuming small shop front, with a little blackboard outside saying to come in and try the pizza. I always listen to little blackboards. Rudy's has gone one step further than the general Northern Quarter style of decorating. Instead of bare brick and filament lightbulbs, Rudy's is wholely industrial, with unfinished concrete walls and floors and floodlight uplighters. Seating is made from a solid wood construction built against the walls, as indicated by marker tape and spraypaint which is still in place. Other tables are more traditionally modern, as well as bar seating. As you walk in, you see a seating area on the left, along with bar seating around the kitchen prep area, where you see the pizza being hand made, and shovelled into the giant flaming pizza oven. If you progress further back, you find more seating including bigger tables, and modern artwork on display for both enjoyment and purchase. The menus and a chalkboard on the wall explain the ethos behind Rudy's style of pizza, classic Italian Neapolitan pizza from Naples, made by enthusiasts. Dough is made on site and proved for 24 hours before being cooked for just 60 seconds. They explain that this means the pizza is 'floppy', not crispy like American style pizza, and so can't be ordered "thin and crispy" or "deep pan". They recommend using a knife and fork to eat it, which might send some people into meltdown, but if the experts say that's how to do it, just give it a try. It was also an interesting aspect to see that the venue appears to be dog friendly. A dog sat on a man's lap at the bar seating, and another sat under the bench on the table next to us, as a member of staff brought it a bowl of water. I personally love this, but I imagine some people might find it uncomfortable. The menu is simple, showcasing the traditional pizza options that Rudy's wants to present, including the option to have a 'white pizza' which is without the usual tomato base. The menu also offers some smaller nibbles, and has a good wine, beer, and general drinks offering. I opted for the Prosciutto Cotto, which is tomato, fior di latte mozzarella, cooked ham, basil, oregano, sea salt, parmesan and garlic oil. All wholesome traditional ingredients, no modern additions like BBQ sauce or pineapple or pulled pork here. Staff are young friendly types, being both professional whilst still remaining casual and relaxed in style. The pizza was really good. Fantastic flavours with really fruity tomato and top quality tasting ingredients. The base was soft as promised and rustic, but also thoroughly delicious. This was a hand-made, 14 inch, fresh, Naples style pizza made to order, in the city centre of Manchester, for less than 8 quid. It was superb, filling, and genuinely on a par (if not better) than pizza I tried when in Rome and Florence! I highly recommend it to anyone who wants a great lunch or dinner, and I will most definitely return. Benissimo, Rudy's!

Yelp
TL;DR - Bona fide Neapolitan pizza right here in Manchester. I've heard so many good things about this place, but also heard stories about long waits for a table which had put me off going. We decided to finally give it a go one cold Saturday lunchtime. We arrived and found a small queue, but since there were no other groups of 2 waiting for a table we were actually seated immediately. There's a huge seating area out back, but we ended up with possibly the best seat in the house - at a counter watching all the pizzas being made! From our vantage point I can tell you that this is the real deal - hand stretched bases cooked quickly at a high temperature. The pizza menu is varied, but what we ordered didn't deviate from the "no more than three toppings rule" - Sparky had mozarella, tomato and nduja sausage; I had smoked mozarella, broccoli and ham. Both pizzas were fabulous - genuine Naples style bases, great flavours and excellent value for money. There was some article published a while back which said Rudy's is the best pizza place in the world. Having tried pizza at some of the other places who would contest that (Sorbillo and Da Michelle in Naples), I can't say for certain it's *the* best, but it's certainly in the same league.

Yelp
Pizza Paradise! This place is a little gem - you could tell it was going to be good as soon as you walked in. They have a huge open kitchen with the centre point being a stone fired pizza oven. It was also jam packed on a Tuesday evening so that was another tell tail sign! Initially when we walked in they said there were no tables available but gave us the option to wait while having a beer, so we went for that! After about 30 seconds of waiting our table was available. The seat was great, we had a good view of the kitchen and the craft beer fridge which made it easier for us to pick our drinks. I went for the Runaway Pale Ale (a perfect beer for a pizza). For grub I choose the Ancozzese, white pizza topped with spinach and Italian Sausage. This was my first ever white pizza and I have to say it was an absolute delight. it kind of reminded me of a pancake, in a good way, I loved how you could taste the dough which sometimes isn't the case when you have a tomato based pizza. The topping were great but we sprinkled on some extra chili flakes for that added kick. The Ancozzese is an absolute bargain for £8.50 - it's filling and flavorsome, what more could you want? Easy five stars!

Yelp
Great pizzas - perfect Neapolitan style, and very true to form. I went for the Cabrese for the spicy Nduja sausage; it's hard to go wrong with a bit of spice on a pizza, and this tasted great! The other toppings are Fior di Latte soft cheese, tomato, basil, and the flavours of the sausage just melt into the rest of the toppings. My friend ordered the Prosciutto Cotto, which I sampled a slice, and I actually preferred - it must have been the pizza's namesake: Prosciutto Cotto (cooked ham). Certainly good quality ham. Rudy's is very popular and gets very busy - we had to wait 45-60 minutes to get a table, but they took my number, and we were able to enjoy a beer in the Seven Bro7hers Beerhouse before returning to Rudy's for the pizza. My only critique is about the service because it was busy - it seemed to have an attitude that slow service is accepted because it was always busy and popular - hence the four stars rather than the five stars. Nonetheless, i will return, just for the Prosciutto Cotto. I just hope the service picks up the pace; my pet peeve is inattentive service and constantly trying to get attention of the waiters/waitresses.

Yelp

Yelp
I don't know what all the hype is about. It's pizza, and it's the second pizza I had on this UK trip. It's average, no better than Pizza Express. They were soggy in the middle. The toppings, though, were tasty. We had the an Ancozzese and a Capricciosa. Staff were really nice. It's really loud in the restaurant. If you're in Ancoats, there's no reason not to eat there. But to make a special trip and queue around the block is not worth it.

Yelp
Had an enjoyable meal at Rudy's, whilst nothing was fundamentally wrong with my experience, it wasn't quite the perfection I expected based on previous reviews. However, I am giving 5 stars based on the overall experience, value, and for thinking outside of the (pizza) box. I like the location. City centre but not quite. Perfectly walkable from Piccadilly in minutes but also free parking in the street after 6PM. The restaurant has a somewhat industrial feel with some bare plaster, high ceilings and exposed wiring & plumbing. I assume this is intentional! The menu is fantastic and reasonably priced. I had to try a white pizza for something different, and whilst it was good, I'd probably go for something more conventional next time. The only addition I'd like to see to the menu would be a seafood option. Despite the pizza being quite delicious, when it came to paying the bill, we were given a £1 discount off each pizza because, apparently, the chef was not happy with the pizza dough! Some nice beers available too. And soft drinks at a reasonable price. I'll definitely go back and try more of their menu options. The waiting staff were efficient though not overly attentive. I think an easy improvement would be for the waiting staff to have some kind of uniform even if only a black t-shirt. Rather than random items of knitwear!!

Yelp
When your Italian friend says "Rudy's is the best Pizza in Manchester" then you just have to give it a go. And boy was she right; this is truly delicious Neopolitan Pizza. This cool pizza palace is dominated by the authentic pizza oven, whose searing heating bakes the soft dough to perfection in just over a minute. They don't take reservations, so if there are no seats just leave your number and head over the road for a drink at the Cutting Room Cafe & Bar and await your call! On this visit we were asked to sit at the bar which faces the Pizza over. I was slightly miffed at first, thinking I'd much prefer the space of a normal table, however once sat we had the perfect view of the pizzas being made, the Pizza oven and the Italian banter of the three Pizza chefs, which actually added a lot to the experience. Soon the the chefs were including us in the banter even asking if they'd put enough topping on the pizza (obviously we asked for a bit more!). The pizza is just so damn tasty; with a great range of quality toppings. The dough is nice and thin, but the crust is so soft and chewy. Not being able to select just one pizza, we ordered two between us and swapped halves so we got to try two different styles. I still couldn't tell you which I preferred more, but the special with 'a hint of tomato', ham, and fresh pea shoots might just edge it. The wine was also amazing; we opted for the recommended Red wine at £24 a bottle, as we thought we'd splash out as the Pizza was only £8 each. It was so delicious we sat long after we'd finished our Pizza with a second bottle! A great relaxed venue with amazing Pizza and wine. What more can you ask?

Yelp
After hearing so many amazing things about Rudy's Pizza, it's frankly ridiculous that it took us so long to actually eat here! After being on holiday and not wanting to get back to reality, we decided to go out on a school night and give Rudy's a go. It was a lovely warm day so, when we arrived at around 6pm, it already had a great buzz about it. We were told it would be a 20 minute wait, left our number, and headed over to Second City for a drink. The table was ready within 15 minutes so we headed back and then experienced the only negative element of the evening; despite having our name 'on the list', we were overlooked for at least two later parties as there was zero recognition that we'd been in earlier. Thank god for the list! In the grand scheme of things, it was a minor blip, but definitely something which would impact it becoming a regular haunt in future. The menu is simple but effective, with some more unusual options with white pizza and a regularly changing specials board for both pizza and beer. Between us we shared the calabrese - tomato, mozzarella, and spicy n'duja sausage (a personal favourite) - and the special, with two kinds of salami on a white base. The ratio between topping and base was perfect, and the n'duja packed a real spice hit. We both relished the opportunity to try the white pizza as it provided a great, almost sweeter, alternative to the usual tomato option. Washed down with a couple of Runaway Pales, it was the perfect Thursday evening. I'm sure we'll be seeing plenty more of Rudy's in the future; they sure as hell know their pizza. Side note: kudos to the family of four who ordered five pizzas. You're my kind of people.

Yelp
Headed to Rudys on a Thursday evening, it's only just opened but the place is packed. Tables full with a steady flow of customers. The venue is industrial but trendy with it, Hockney hanging on the walls and pictures of Ancoats back in the day. The service was really good, friendly and quick. The pizzas are cooked in a traditional pizza oven so they taste authentic italian! Thin and crispy bases. We had the special with artichokes, ham, olives on a tomato base and also tried a white pizza base with Tuscan sausage, wild broccoli and chilli. Both were really tasty and full of flavour. The drinks selection was fab with special beers and good soft drinks. The price was really reasonable, and way cheaper than pizza chains! Will definitely be back!

Yelp
After failing miserably to get a table on their launch night (what were we thinking?), it was a couple of months later that we finally got to try out the pizzas everyone seemed to be raving about - and as you can guess, we weren't disappointed. Warmly welcomed, our large group were seated towards the back at a table with bench seating. It's a quirky layout at the moment, almost a U-shape with the wood-fired oven in the middle and dining space around it. It wasn't clear whether the long, unused 'corridor' back to where the toilets are was eventually going to become additional dining space (which they need given their popularity) or remain as a temporary waiting area for customers. The menu is concise with around nine pizzas available (some are tomato-based; others are white sauce-based). We all ordered beers from local brewery Runaway. My Portobello tomato-based with Tuscan sausage arrived after not too long a wait (despite there being 10 of us) and it was HUGE and delicious - larger than Honest Crust's pizzas in Altrincham Market House but equally tasty. Rudy's are better value for money at less than a tenner. Burgers are starting to lose their appeal for me in the city at the moment - it's time for amazing, freshly prepped pizzas to take the crown for a while and you can bow to your new ruler on Cotton Street in Ancoats. Long may they reign.

Yelp
You know what - 5 stars! Definitely 5 stars! *Great cool location taking you somewhere slightly off the beaten track but still very city centre. *Amazing food - the bianca sausage and broc pizza was off the hook! *Decent craft beer selection from local ale makers. *Lovely staff, friendly service, efficient and quick. *Cool minimalist surroundings *Fantastic tunes I actually can't wait to go back - somewhere I'm gonna shout about from the rooftops!

Yelp
I'm so happy for the guys at Rudy's pizza. After trying their amazing pizza earlier this year at a pop up at North Tea Power, I have been a fan! Their place in Ancoats is great. Minimalist decor certainly does the trick - they focus on what they're good at, and that is making outstanding pizzas. I ordered the Margherita pizza, in my opinion it's the way you can tell a good pizza. It was baked on a sourdough base with amazing leoparding from the open wood-fire oven. The tomato sauce was tangy and the mozzarella stringy and fresh. Faultless.

Yelp
There has been a lot of hype surrounding this place so I was excited when I finally got the opportunity to try it out. We found it tricky to track down as I'm not really familiar with the area but it was worth looking for! It was a Saturday evening so we had prepared ourselves for the fact there would be a wait but considering how popular this place is it was only 20 minutes. We waited in a seating/corridor area at the back of the restaurant and we were really taken care of, we ordered drinks which only took minutes to arrive and were shown menus. The thing I loved most was how simple the concept is. The menu is short and concise and uses quality ingredients to create amazing pizzas. I love that they have white pizzas (no tomato sauce) as it challenges the idea of typical pizza. The food is so reasonable and drinks even more so. A bonus for me was the Aperol Spritz on the special board, I am a huge fan and knocked back three with no problems what so ever! The ice-cream is from Gingers Comfort Emporium and the vanilla is the best ice-cream in the world, so creamy and perfect after a huge pizza. The food all came so fast and the service was relaxed and friendly. The décor is minimalistic but comfortable at the same time. It works perfectly with the concept to create a relaxed atmosphere. The hype wasn't wrong, big fan!

Yelp
Ever feel like pizza - and more generally good food - is too expensive in Manchester? Well, that's because it is. Put simply Rudy's do the best pizza in MCR for almost half the price - how? They're not greedy. The dough is soft and melt in the mouth, the toppings are simple, fresh and tasty and most importantly of all, it's not greasy! There's Geart and Graft coffee/Ancoats Coffee Co on offer long with a selection of bottles craft beers. There's absolutely no reason not to go and live here, like I now do!

Yelp
The service was super poor. Just had pizza with friends last night. The waitress was not friendly at all. They did not have any clue on how to arrange the table more efficiently. We went there earlier, but they served another group of people coming late even ahead of us. What's more, they arranged two ladies with puppies in a big table, which we could take at that moment because those two ladies could sit in another place suitable for two, and that would have saved us 15 more minutes. I would never ever come back, nor recommend to my friends. I would even spread the bad service to all my friends and stop them from being treated badly!
google avatar

Yelp
The pizza is amazing, absolutely amazing. Everyone needs to try Rudy's pizza. I've tried it in Liverpool and Manchester the consistency is amazing. The prices are so reasonable. And the Rudy's pale beer is tasty and goes so we with the pizza.

Yelp
Huge fan of this place! After a day of drinking at Runaway Brewery and a quick pint at The Marble Arch, we decided to head over here to soak up the beer. At around 7pm on a Saturday we were told it'd be a 45 minute wait. I asked if there was a nearby bar they could recommend, and they suggested The Cutting Room or staying in their waiting area. We opted for the latter to avoid faff but were a bit surprised to find that it's just a row of stools round the corner. I feel like they should at least get a table. As it happened, however, our table was ready before we even had chance to order a beer. Yay! To start we ordered Campari Sodas which everyone hated except me. So I drank a lot of Campari Soda. This comes with crisps which feels delightfully continental. Becka H and I shared two pizzas: the Tarantina and the Ancozze. They didn't have any sausage for the Ancozze but as we were the kind of hungry that only comes from copious alcohol consumption and therefore not in any frame of mind to reconsider our options, we asked if they could make it with something else and so they subbed in salami. The pizza was delicious. I was very happy with both of them and would order both of them again quite happily. I've been wary of anchovies since a terrible takeout experience where they were used so liberally the flavour was overwhelming and honestly gross, but I trusted Rudys to do better than this. And they did much, much better. The anchovies tasted fresh and delicious. The base and crust of the pizza were chewy and awesome. We all made short work of these, I'll say that much. Staff were really nice. Service was a bit slow - especially when it came to paying which is always annoying when you just want to give them your money and go home - but in their defence they were dealing with some large, lairy Christmas parties. Rudys - I'll definitely be back! If I was local you couldn't drag me away but as it is, I'll just have to find an excuse to get to this side of town more.

Yelp
Knowing the pizza scene well in London I had high standards to be met when it came to Rudy's pizza, but I'm glad to say I was pleasantly surprised. This newly opened pizza joint in the up and coming Ancoats area of Manchester is a must for anyone who well, loves their pizza! The dough is thin but doughy on the crusts, they have an array of toppings and daily specials to choose from AND as a lunch special they do pizza butties - YES, PIZZA BUTTIES, Northerners rejoice! The staff were ridiculously friendly and helpful, the place was packed with people waiting to be seated and whole ambiance was simply warming. A lot can be said for achieving greatness through simplicity and efficiency and this place if proof of that! NOTE: They don't serve rose wine :(

Yelp
I honestly wouldn't have thought that there would be an indy pizzeria out in Petersfield/Ancoats, as I tend to associate this kind of thing more with the City Centre area. That said, if you're willing to venture a bit further off the beaten track that is the Northern Quarter then Rudy's Pizza is certainly a reward. I can best describe the interior as minimalist, clean, and modern. Lots of white and lots of wood. It's not the largest pizza joint around, so when we arrived on a Saturday evening we were told it'd be a 45 minute wait for a table. This wasn't an issue, though it was actually more like 15-20 minutes before we were seated which was an impressive turnaround given that the place was packed. Once seated, we had time to peruse the menu and deliberate over our food choices. To kick off with, everyone I was with - and myself - opted for the Campari soda which came with crisps. I've never had it before, but I was curious to see just how bitter an aperatif Campari was - turns out, pretty damn bitter. I don't know about my friends, but I was slightly disappointed when only one "portion" of crisps arrived with the soda's. (To clarify, this was post-beer session and we were all craving some serious starch to soak it up!) For my pizza, I went for the salame which was delicious. A soft - and foldable! - base laden with plenty of sauce, cheese and most importantly meat, this was one fine pizza! I wolfed it down pretty quickly, though that was out of hunger/moderate inebriation. The reason that this is only a 4 star review rather than a 5 is because the waiting area was just some stools tucked away round a corner, with an almost "out of sight, out of mind" feel going as if it was some kind of naughty corner. Also, once we'd eaten and were looking to get the bill and pay, the staff seemed a little slow to the point that two of our group went up and paid. I would've thought on a busy Saturday night, if people are waiting to leave then you get them the bill and out the door in a pleasantly prompt manner. Overall, though, a pretty good pizza place which I'm going to have to visit again. Would recommend!

Yelp
One of the best pizza in MCR, quiet busy location because of it. No reservation can be taken and there is not much choice for those who do not eat meat or for those who love fish ( na pizza tonno e cipolle?) Overall, pizza is affordable and good quality in here.

Yelp
Im a not a huge pizza person but if every pizzeria was as good as this then I could definitely go to the doughy dark side. This small, independent and friendly place really does tick all the boxes for me. We arrived at Rudy's and were welcomed by the friendly and attentive waitresses who seated us quickly and talked us through the craft beet options. As soon as our drinks arrived we cast our eyes over the pizza menu which is a small list of well selected pizza's and small plates. I decided to go for the sausage meat and broccoli white pizza which was thin, crispy and pretty much perfect. I covered it in chilli oil which to me really completed the dish....from my previous reviews I think its pretty clear I am a bit of a spice addict. We settled the bill, had a chat with the staff and went on our way. This was my favourite dinner during my time in Manchester. If you are in the city it is well worth a visit!

Yelp
Where else can we start other than the great pizzas? Thin but doughy, crispy but chewy, flavourful but not overpowering. What more could you want? Well, let me tell you... You want good ingredients (check), friendly service (check), a great price (check), fast (check) and other great things on the menu (check check check). I could take or leave the minimalist concrete decor, but seats are comfy. The drinks selection is good - local beers and Birra Moretti for the grain guzzlers. Grape aficionados can expect to be treated to a lovely house Montepulciano with a little spice that works perfectly with the meaty and tomatoey flavours. The nduja special I had was a good kick in the mouth of spice, but the chalkboard adequately forewarned of this. There was minimal oil and sufficient topping, well spaced out. I'll be coming back (if I can get a table! 7.30 seems to be the tipping point, but this is when it's a week old. Who knows how crazy this place will deservedly become.

Yelp
There are some things that I really must say. Rudy's Pizza? Well let's start with the fundamentals: great food, great service. Fresh ingredients? Yes. What kind of pizza? Perfect, soft, delicate, rich, satisfying, tactile, flavorful, aromatic, and on top of it all, served at a romantic setting. When I first went to Rudy's I was brought in by someone eager to show me the experience, one which would stimulate all my senses. The pizza came quick, and every bite was heaven. I never wanted it to end, so I kept coming back over and over again. Now I'm a regular at Rudy's Pizza, and I never forget to bring my appetite and hard-earned cash to throw down a nice, fat tip for these hard-working pizza geniuses. The last time I went, my crew and I were served by a vibrant and graceful lady named Sidonie who checked in on us ever so warmly throughout the evening, and bringing us delicious coffee and cocktails before setting down at our table some Meridio, Calabrese, and Tonno pizzas. After all of this was said and done, our party finished off with a couple Tartufos to share. Knowing I'd be back soon, I walked out of Rudy's with a smile on my face, warmly looking back towards everyone I saw working so hard there that fateful night. Seeing our waitress smile back at us and wave gently as we walked out the door, I was so in love with the flavors I still tasted, and I was being pulled deeper into the atmosphere that had enveloped me in its warmth for the time I'd been there. I knew I'd have to be back again as soon as possible.

Yelp
Gave this place five stars because while they get really busy the staff does a great job at managing the restaurant to get you seated as quick as possible. The food is super affordable and wildly delicious! Make sure to try the buffalo mozzarella

Yelp
Great pizza. It's just really good. Simple and tasty. The drinks are just what you want and the service is direct and to the point but that's just what you want when going out for a decent pizza.

Yelp
Rudy's is a little off the beaten track but is well worth the walk to get there. On arrival on a Saturday night, we hadn't booked and were wanting a table for 4. We were told 45 minutes but the table was ready in about 15 so things were off to a good start. The pizzas came and they were a very good size and delicious. I had the special, a spicy sausage creation which hit the spot. We had all been at a beer festival beforehand which made the pizzas all the more welcome. I finished mine in about 4 minutes and could have had another it was that good (don't take that as anything against the portion size trust me I wolfed it like only man with a few pints in him can) Overall the experience was very good. The only minor complaint I had is that it took us about 15 minutes to actually pay after the bill was brought but given it was very busy and there was a noisy Christmas party in there I'm not complaining too much. Highly recommended!

Yelp
I've heard only positive feedback about Rudy's, and after trying it I can only add other positive comments, along with 5 deserved stars, of course! Top-notch ingredients, delightful tastes, typical napolitan pizzas. These few features could already be enough to have one of your best meals ever, but Rudy's happens to be much more. First of all, it's completely unexpensive: you could get a delicious pizza for less than what one usually spends for an average take-away. The Margherita Extra ("Extra" is due to buffalo mozzarella) was just 7.5£, and it blew up my taste! Not to mention the location, not far from the city centre; the wide glass frontage lets you enjoy the view of the neat square outside, and makes the place full of light. The way Rudy's furnished is minimalist, yet lovely; on each table there's a little bottle of Campari full of tiny flowers, so poetic. The staff is nice, and the service is incredibly quick.

Yelp
If you read my reviews of Manchester's Pizza joints, each one seems to be coming closer and closer to an authentic Neapolitan pizza. Mathematically speaking, with every pizza I eat in Manchester these days the distance between an authentic Naples pizza and our pizza seems to be getting halved. True, our pizzas may never reach the real thing (mathematically) but Rudy's is close enough for all practical purposes Tucked away off the beaten path but still remaining fairly central, Rudy's serves amazing pizzas. They also have a wide selection of drinks, but let's focus on the pizza. shall we? Pizza is such a simple dish that, you can judge the quality of the entire offering by simply ordering a margarita. We again went with our Italian friends and ordered 4 margaritas and a customised pizza with itlaian sausage and a broccoliesque thing. All of them were amazing. The crust was baked to perfection, the passata was apparently home made and tasted fresh, the mozzarella tasted creamy and the basil was dancing along on the fringe. We went on a thursday night and waited about 40 minutes for a table. Then another 30 minutes for the pizzas to be delivered to our table. Tell you what, it was well worth the wait. As an added bonus, it is also a display of Rudy's popularity. I must also mention that the staff were friendly and polite, despite the busyness. In the end, the damage was 55 quid for 5 pizzas, drinks and a tip for four people. Not bad. As with everywhere else, I sincerely hope they maintain their levels of service and quality. Bonus fun fact: if a cylinder had a radius 'z' and thickness 'a', its volume is pizza. ;)

Yelp
Delicious pizza that's worth the wait! Dough was perfectly made and cooked. The toppings are so fresh and tasty. Add a bottle of wine with that and you have a happy time!

Yelp
I first visited Rudy's for a CouchSurfing event for which I'm thankful, because it probably would have taken me a lot longer to discover this place on my own given the location! I actually walked right past the entrance trying to find the place the first time I went. I dragged my boyfriend back shortly after the CS event to share this discovery and he was equally impressed. In terms of décor, there's a cool industrial vibe and lots of space. The servers are friendly and the pizza has been consistently delicious; the best I've had in the city centre! Given my love of mushrooms and white sauce pizza, I've had the portobello twice and each time it's been delicious! There's a decent selection of beers and wine as well to accompany their delightful pizza. In sum one of the top pizza places in the area along with Double Zero in Chorlton - definitely the best in the centre!

Andrew J.

Yelp
Best pizza in Manchester hands down. Pricing is great and every time I'm in Manchester I make sure to come here. The dough is fantastic and the fresh ingredients really make this pizza a winner!

Yelp
OK let's start with the obvious, Rudy's clearly know how to make a good pizza, not quite beating Franco Manca in London but it's certainly the best I've had in Manchester, so not perfect but certainly well worthy of 4 stars, but, I hear you gasp, you've only given 3 stars! Now it's unusual to be in this situation but Rudy's has a great product however their business sense is letting them down, the restaurant is poorly laid out which is leading to long waits to get a table and when you get inside the service is slow and the decor underwhelming, shabby chic is certainly a thing but this place is just scruffy and badly planned. Now to leave this review on a happy note the drinks selection is very good, with beers from runaway brewery although I wasn't drinking when I went I meant doubt they are served well. The food prices are very reasonable and the portion size is good. I really hope the owners pull their act together and make Rudy's everything it can be (and more)

Yelp
Heard great things. Pretty much all reviews are 5/5 except a "rogue" 1/5 and a 4/5. When we visited it was busy so we had to wait - instead of waiting in Rudy's we went more or less across the road to Cutting Room for a drink (a review of that place will be done soon) - and they would call one of us to let us know our table was ready. We got the call, all excited. Its a nice place and the first thing I spotted was a big pizza oven in the corner. What made Rudy's better was also the simple fact it was shelter from the rain outside - one of those horrible, rainy, windy Manchester nights. Doesn't happen that often ;) As for the food. It was good pizza, don't get me wrong but I think I prefer my pizza a bit more crispy/thin and less dough. And I think, the expectation had been built up with all the Yelp reviews and also it is listed in the guide Where to Eat Pizza, which lists the best pizza parlours in 48 different countries. Rudy's (and Honest Pizza) are the only ones in the North West of England to be listed. So thinking about the rating out of 5, its tricky. Taking into account personal preference on style of pizza and trying to not be effected by high expectations (which for anything you almost never can be met). Hmmmm. I think its a 4 - not a 5 for me and 3 seems a bit "harsh".

Yelp
Manchester's best pizza. Having previously had their pizza at guerrilla eats, I finally visited their new restaurant with a friend. It was busy, but the friendly staff were able to squeeze us in on the counter where we could see the pizzas being made. I preferred the Lardo. I was apprehensive about egg on a pizza, but it turned out to be amazing. The pizzas are proper Italian-style thin crusts cooked in a wood fired oven. I'll definitely be going back.

Yelp
The best pizza joint in Manchester, as verified by my Italian friends. We came here on a Tuesday night as a party of 5, and although the kitchen was close to closing they managed to work their italian charm with one of the chefs so we were able to put in our orders promptly! The quality of the pizza was amazing, the base was spot on- thin, not too crunchy and the portions are huge, perfect for pizza lovers and generally food-lovers! My friends appreciated the Italian music playing in the background, although they did say it was more popular in the 70s! When I came back a second time there was over an hour wait for a table, and unfortunately Rudy's doesn't take bookings. The idea of exclusivity is appealing, but having quickly formed a big name for itself in Manchester (and it is evidently extremely popular) I feel that Rudy's would benefit from expanding the venue and having more tables.

Yelp
Outstanding pizza and great atmosphere! We were looking for a pizza place and so glad we stumbled on Rudy's. Although we had to wait 30 minutes, it was well worth it. Passed the time sitting outside on benches in the courtyard/piazza. The trees were beautifully lit with white lights, it had art pieces and there was even a group exercising. Staff were fantastic. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Lucky to get a table at lunch time as soon as we walked in. I agree with another review, it's the best in Manchester but doesn't quite match some places in London, such as Franca Manca or Homeslice. Having said that, it's just simple pizza done very well and there are some great toppings to choose from. Also impressed by the beer range on offer, I'd definitely go back!

Yelp
Went to Rudys after coming back from Naples and I must say their pizza is as good or better than some I had in Italy. I am now a regular and LOVE THIS PLACE. It gets crazy busy so you must get there early or be ready to wait.
google avatar

Yelp
Awesome pizza with that Neapolitan style thin and chewy pizza crust. Went on a school night and there was only a 10 minute wait. It looks like they expanded the place- so wait times should hopefully be down consistently. Yum! The only thing I wasn't a fan of was the dessert, a semolina cake, which was a bit disappointing - lacking in flavor...

Yelp
I went here not long after coming back from Rome and didn't think anywhere could come close to the pizza I had out there. Rudys is incredible! The staff, the food, the atmosphere...all of it is amazing. Make sure you book as you could be waiting a while (not that it isn't worth it). There's definitely a reason why Rudys in the top 10 pizza restaurants in the UK. Go there, eat the food and let me know what you think too!
