If you like local art, it’s great street to walk.

Have you noticed the cannon at the corner of the wall? It's a weathered cannon partially buried vertically in the ground, pointing towards the sky. It serves as a bumper to protect the wall corners from cars during tight turns.

it's a very nice alley, full of artists. Do note that it's not where Google maps says it is. If you use Google Maps, go to the location it says and with the road to your back, it's on your right. you will see it on the left of hotel Auberge Du Tresor.

Walked by it TWICE, and there is no art here. All I saw was an alleyway with boards, metal shutters and hollow concrete slabs. It either no longer exists, or is only open during the summer. Quite a shame, as it was one of the things I was most looking forward to seeing.

We drove up to Quebec for vacation and stayed at a hotel in the upper old city. We were able to walk to most of the historic sites and found lots of interesting sites off the Place d’Armes and the Frontenac. This street was very charming as well as the adjoining street with restaurants.

Yelp
In Old Québec, artists exhibit and sell their watercolors, engravings, paintings, and reproductions along rue du Trésor, a side street resembling an open-air art gallery. but my bad luck, it was a rainy day and I faced Instagram expectations vs. reality reel. Not a single shop was open. that's fine, you win some, you lose some but- Every day from mid-May to mid-October, rue du Trésor is lined with artists who are often present until 9 p.m. to handle the flow of visitors. The artists are free to set their hours. During the rest of the year, a few artists are present on holidays, as well as on weekends when large crowds are expected in Old Québec.

Yelp
This was an enjoyable - if fleeting - little walk through an art alley in Quebec City. This is one of those little gems that you will not find on any listing by TripAdvisor ... as you only find this one by wandering around the city in the evening. Neat group of artists stands - some doing work right there - and all for sale at the right price. This area of Quebec City really comes alive during the late afternoon/early evening hours - although as a tourist spot it is open seemingly all the time. But in the twilight hours when all the tourists are walking around, this place is a neat place to pick up something for home. Recommended.

Yelp
This tiny, twisting, steep alleyway is an essential Quebec City experience. In my humble opinion it's best to go tipsy and happy and with your judgemental facilities lowered, because ok yes there's a lot of tacky stuff here. Some locally made gems, too much mediocre touristy stuff but even still I think that's ok once in awhile eh? Bring something home for your grandma or your uncle with the garden gnomes, they'll love it!
