A cozy place perfect for a sweet treat. Passed by one time and knew I had to stop. I tried the Himbeertorte and was great. Also, the attention was good and the options wide. They sell pieces and full cakes too. There is a restaurant next door from the same brand and a mini store that only has sweets and breads for you to stop by and buy. The prices are okay and you get fair portions. I’m definitely coming back to try something new!

The coffee and cakes are very good. I often visit on weekends and it is always crowded with locals. Even if it is busy, the store is spacious so you don't have to wait long.

Delicious banana tart (thanks to the darling redhead waitress for the recommendation!), and I enjoyed the pasta arrabbiata, too. 😋 Easy e-bike ride back to the center.

Somehow interesting pastries and sweets though not a great variety. Simple traditional place for coffee

Very nice cheesecake, coffees are available also as decaf version. It gets very busy during lunch hour, seating is outside street side, on the balcony upstairs or inside where it's slightly cooler on hot days. Coffee comes with nice cantuccini, service is friendly and once you get to order drinks and food comes out pretty fast. Shop st the corner is for take away with large selection of cakes.

Coffee and cakes were delicious! The hardest part is deciding which cakes to get!

Me and my friend happened to stop here since it was close to our hotel and I’m glad we did :) the food choices were unique and they had a great selection of drinks. Make sure you have google translate if you don’t speak German, there are no English menus! Our waiter was awesome and he was definitely the nicest waiter we had on our visit to Germany 🥰 We went on a Friday night and it was surprisingly not too busy, would go to again if in the area!

I only tried their beer, a normal German pilsen. There's no outside area, but there's a terrace (not always available), where you have to fetch your own drinks because the service is only on the ground floor, which is decent. :p

Yelp
I found out about this cafe because a friend of mine lived upstairs. He's been bragging about this cafe for days. Finally a sleepy Sunday rolls over and a visit seemed in order. I was jealous... ...from the moment I walked in. If I had this cafe below me, I'd be a happy camper (and perhaps a little rounder). Cafe Ruffini has two parts: it's split into a "take away" portion where you can point at a window and take cafe eats with you if you're on the go. OR you can grab a seat inside. I was here midday and it was packed! We had to wait around for a little bit. There was something for everyone whether you were sitting for a cappuccino & a cake or there for a whole meal. Upon entering, you'll see an enticing case of pastries. As a non-German speaker/ tourist, I was pretty reluctant to ask, but there was charming man, that spoke enough english to help me with my curious sweet tooth. I picked the walnut cake (see pic). It seemed like the popular thing. By the last bites of it, I saw 2-3 others had ordered the same. If you want to spruce up your normal coffee routine, get the amaretto latte. It's a bit sweet, but a treat to top off a meal along with that walnut cake. Ok...I think I've just convinced myself that I need to go back soon. Walnut cake + amaretto latte. One more thing, I think they screen films there at night and/or have live music too. This might be another excuse to go back. They have an extensive wine list available online. Too bad my friend moved back to Los Angeles. :(

Yelp
Wonderful cafe with a beautiful grey and white interior. Great local food. I loved the ricotta with honey!

Yelp
One of my favourite cafes in Munich, run by a self-managed cooperative. The cakes are awesome, you can also buy them in their little store at the corner. Good wine selection and good food (organic if you care), in the summertime the rooftop terrace is usually open (self-service though, but very nice for sundowns or breakfast). Often quite full, especially on weekends - if you want to come with 4+ people better to reserve a table. Be aware though, that the many good reviews received by this place not necessarily mean that this is a perfect cafe. If you see it from the outside or take a quick first impression look inside you may wonder if this is the right place - I think the reviews just show that people like to hang out here, the atmosphere is nice despite the dated interior. :-)

Yelp
Awesome cakes! They balance off the sweet and the sour (like chocolate and sour berries, for example) so quite imaginative, not the standard bakery thing.

Yelp
My favourite café in Munich is led for over 20 years as cooperative one. This obviously guarantees for quality, because the coffee is the best in town and the most diverse cakes tastes also completely outstanding. The own winestore is next door, also after closing time bottles can be taken home to the retail price. Varied menu with very good biological food. Very nice it is in the Ruffini for having breakfast, particularly in the summer on the small roof terrace.

Yelp
Little cake shop through another entrance. Can't fit more then 3 people in at the same time, but they do have some nice cakes. mmmmm.

Yelp
While visiting my son in Munich he took up to this little cafe near his apartment. The pastries and coffee were delicious. We went early so we didn't have to wait. The pastries and coffee were delicious. Been back several times just for their coffee. Yummy!!!
