Lovely island! Very much and nice nature. Spotted over 200 deer and some martens.
Will for sure return to take a boat trip and a ride with the steamtrain.

We loved this beautiful little German island. It took us around 4 hours to get here by ICE from Berlin.
We stayed in Binz and visited the Nazi holiday camp along the road at Prora
Whilst we were there we also visited a few other villages and took a trip on the steam train.
This island formally belonged to the DDR East Germany and it was planned as a major port for Nazi Germany. It's a great place to visit for history buffs and those who want to visit somewhere a bit different.
There are also white cliffs (like in Dover England ) which were out of the way to visit but worth the hike though the national park to get there.
We'll definitely be back.
