Traveled with family, had connecting rooms. View of the port from our window. Very safe area, right on the port. The hotel has disinfectant mats, and gel, but no one taking temperatures regularly at the door, just upon check-in. On our visit the elevator was not working.||Rooms were quite large and the bathroom had a door separating the toilet and shower from the sink. Had TV and air conditioning. Parking for maybe 8-10 cars at the most.||Restaurants and stores all within walking distance. Close to the Zocalo where there was nightly entertainment sponsored by the local government.

Upgrading to an ocean view room was a mistake. It faces the noisy malecon and the patio doors rattle in the strong wind storms. The beds were hard with lumpy pillows. Overall the room was dirty with a clogged shower. Only bath towels are provided. No hand towel or bath mat. I didn't like stepping from a flooded shower onto a dirty floor. Seven days was way too long to stay here.

The hotel in general is nice, with all the services, very well located and comfortable, the service seemed great to me, only the rooms were not comfortable, the beds a little hard, but the truth is that I would highly recommend this place, it is very central.

Stayed at this hotel for 2 nights. Rooms were very average. Location was pretty good, close to Malecon, harbor, tourist shopping and Zocalo. You can walk to pretty much everything from the hotel. Price was affordable. We booked when we arrived as we didn't have a reservation. There seem to be better hotels in the are for more $ and worse hotels for less $. They did have a restaurant in lobby that we didn't try. Valet parking. WiFi was spotty (typical of most of Mexico). Overall Average.

Fabulous location, friendly front desk staff - however can't say the same of the porters and other male staff. We stayed in their basic room (680 pesos for 2) and at first blush didn't seem like a bad price - however - there were no hand towels, no bath mat, no faceclothes, no water in the room and no television remote. ( we had to go downstairs and ask). The pillows were the lumpiest pillows I have ever slept on. There was no hot water in the shower and there was mold growing everywhere in the shower. All in all not an experience I am going to repeat!

Super clean rooms, newly remodeled from the looks. Great place to stay and walk around to see the sights. Staff is very helpful and friendly! Close to the "Portales" and Plaza Zócalo, just a short walk for some great people watching! The malacon is also just out the door and you can walk the entire port if you wish.

The hotel is clean and cheap. The receptionists were very polite and the bellboys were chatty and gave us a lot of information of what to see and where to go. We stayed at the executive suite so when we were missing a towel we called the front desk and we were given it immediately. I read some of the negative comments and I think maybe things have changed or people didn't ask for things. The location is excellent, right in front of the Malecón. The TV has few channels to choose from but who wants to watch TV when you're in Veracruz?

We stayed a couple of nights at the Ruiz Milan and really enjoyed it. We had an upper floor balcony room with a lovely view on the Malecon and the port. Very nice staff, clean and comfortable room, reasonably priced. Highly recommended!
