Google
The place is super cute and cocktails are delicious. Food is yummy too but too expensive for what you get. We recommend the tuna, Chilli prawns and the chicken wings. We do not recommend the nachos. The flavours of the sauce and chicken did not match. The Churros are yummy, and I could drink that rum sauce

Google
Happy that Amsterdam has a proper rum bar with a good selection. The tiki drinks and ambiance outside on the terrace were nice on a sunny Saturday summer evening. When it started getting dark we moved inside, and also enjoyed sitting at the bar. Would recommend.

Google
Pretty much a hip place for Rum lovers. It's based on the Caribbean theme. Quite a lot of options available for food and drinks. The staff is pretty friendly and comes with a long history. A must try is the Tiki Puca Puca. Cool place to hangout with friends but pricing looks slightly towards the higher end.

Google
Wonderful, cosy bar with a great atmosphere. Friendly Caribbean music and second to none bar team. Highly recommend this place and it’s rum tasting and heavenly cocktails.

Google
Great hidden jewel. Huge selection of rums obviously. But also the food is fantastic. Really laid back place and very knowledge and helpful people working there. Great place for a good run and a cigar in a nice warm day. Oh yeah they sell cigars too. Heated terrace if you fancy it. Recommend

Yelp
This is one of the best bars I've ever been too. The employees are always beyond kind especially the owner who never fails to seat us immediately even when he has to move things around. The atmosphere is very chill and nice with a tropical theme. The drinks are great and you can order fun themed drinks in skull mugs. Not even to mention the food which is absolutely incredible. I never fail to have an amazing time here.

Yelp
I was so excited to find this spot While visiting Amsterdam. It was a Thursday evening when I stopped in and I was not disappointed. I barely made it back to my hotel I was so floored off 2 drinks and trust me I can hold my liquor. They aren't cheap pours! Drink at your own risk!! The bartender was great to talk to. It was a great way to end my trip!

Yelp
This place was a good time! I had almost everything on the menu and really liked it...minus the jerk chicken tacos, IDK something went wrong there. HOWEVER, the bartender was friendly and attentive. He was a little delayed in making the drinks but to my understanding it was only his second shift. I had the calamari, the jerk chicken tacos, the spiced mussels, the voodoo shrimp, and the churros for dessert. SHUT UP...DON'T JUDGE ME OK THEY WERE TAPAS! All of the dishes were beyond my expectations. TBH, I was in the middle of Amsterdam looking for a Caribbean restaurant I really didn't expect it to even taste anything like the Caribbean food back home. To tell you the truth it wasn't. It wasn't like your little Caribbean spot down the block, but it did have FLAVORS. The food had so much flavor! Caribbean spices were definitely on fleek. Again though, skip the jerk chicken tacos (and yes I took off a whole entire star for this. You must know and understand jerk chicken if you are a Caribbean restaurant IDC). I had the zombie, which was a drink that I was warned about by the bartender. He said verbatim: "are you sure you want this because it is a lot of liquor and it's very strong". My reply: "I hear you...pour it up". He poured that thang and lit fire to the pomegranate that included a shot and was placed on the top of my drink. The drink was strong but was a sneaker...you know the drinks that taste really good but you won't feel the liquor until later? So as I let that soak a little I began to enjoy the ambience as well. Old school fresh Bob Marley music flowing, decorated like a nice beach house somewhere off the island, with a great group of patrons and workers. I had a great time here. Once I was ready to leave I literally almost bust my ass sliding off the chair. That is when I realized the zombie has taken over.

Yelp
Love the cocktails! The staff is quite knowledgeable (friendly too) and can show you around the menu if your not quite sure what you should order! Loved all my drinks and the glassware is super cool!! I had a hurricane glass, a chinaman glass and a skull glass. So all pretty cool and a lot of fun. The food is also very good! I had the duck spring rolls and they were very good!

Yelp
All the rum you can dream of plus amazing cocktails, the tapas menu looks good and I will have to try some of it next time, the atmosphere is great and there's out door seating available for summer months

Yelp
Great place for rum and tiki cocktail lovers! Stumbled on this place just by accident and really didn't expect much but this place is a true cocktail gem! The bar has a great atmosphere and a nice variety of rums. You can be sure you get a proper tiki cocktail. Can also try a crazy zombie cocktail with 4 shots of rum (1 per person only). The food was also lovely, simple but with a nice twist. We enjoyed quesadillas and muscles cooked in species and rum. If I was to open a tiki cocktail bar one day, it will be very like Rum Barrel!

Yelp
First, the food was actually quite good. But let's be honest, I did not go to a place called rum barrel for the food. The drinks were next level and they have quite any extensive selection. Do make use of the staff's knowledge; they will not steer you wrong. The only downside outs that the place is so small. Butt on nicer days there it's also outdoor seating which I would certainly recommend.

Yelp
Very Intimate spot. The tapas were amazing and the zombie is to die for. The bartender was really nice. Def a great place to visit when I'm Amsterdam

Yelp
My first visit I only tried a couple of cocktails. And as their name will probably have told you already, those are mostly rum based. I like rum. But for me the world of rums is not as rich as let's say that of whiskies. But I'm always open to surprises, so I asked the bar's owners to show me some really special ones. For instance; I like the smokyness that some whiskies and even some tequilas have. The guys from Rum Barrel offered me to try a rum witch was supposed to have a distinct cigar perfume to it, but to me it was just a faint hint to be honest. In the daiquiri he made me with it, it already got lost. Nice drink, but nothing awesome. Other cocktails we tried were those that give you this feeling of being on a tropical vacation. Lots of sweet flavours. Again nice, but to mainstream for me. We also had a variation were the bartender mixed in Angostura bitters, but that tasted a bit contrived. The bitters did make the cocktail less sweet of course, but didn't feel like they really belonged there... Nice Try though. Luckily they also have a couple of other cocktails on the menu. My second visit I tried the warm white Russian for instance. I love it! And I tried a cocktail with a herbal liquor as an ingredient. That one was really special too. As are the bites! Their sweet potato fries and their spare ribs are awesome! As are their Mexican quesadillas. But their calamari is the best ever! A must try! So, nice place, friendly staff, nice cocktails and fantastic bites!

Yelp
I was just traveling through Amsterdam for the day and found this bar on yelp and was intrigued enough to give it a try. I am typically a whiskey girl and find most rum too sweet but, on the recommendation of a friend, was convinced to do a rum tasting. The bartenders was very friendly and helpful. He asked about what flavors and drinks I like and let me smell several different rums before deciding which three he thought would be best for me to try. I could tell he was also invested in me liking rum by the end of my tasting. I loved two and the third, though not quite to my taste, was interesting and still better than any rum I'd had up to that point. I then proceeded to order the Scorpion, which was a great, unique cocktail. It was the perfect way to spend and evening, glad I found this spot!

Yelp
Great vibes , great tapas. Very friendly staff. Suggest eating inside to experience more of the bar. Great for sharing ! Everyone go there for a snack

Yelp
If you have an affinity for rum, this is your place. They have a huge selection of rums: Spanish, English and French. The cocktails are strong and reasonably priced. They serve tapas style food, which is very tasty. I recommend the voodoo shrimp and mac and cheese balls. Everything was reasonably priced. We had a lovely time chatting with the bartender, too. Definitely recommend this place!

Yelp
Duck spring rolls!!! 100%. Message to the owner: try Zaya rum (Trinidad & Tobago) tastes like root beer. Don Papa (Philippines) one of the smoothest rims I have ever tasted. Meyers (Jamaica) will take your Dark and Stormy to a new level. Xooxox thank you.
