Rum Doodle

A lovely bed and breakfast. Staff are really accommodating and incredibly friendly . The rooms are beautiful and attention to detail is perfect. Bathroom was slightly dated but was still extremely clean. We loved our stay . It’s in a great location just a 15 min walk from Bowness and Windermere. The bed was comfortable and they had thought of everything we might need including The breakfast was lovely and served in our room. Would definitely recommend to everyone we know and would love to stay again.

The nicest bed and breakfast we have ever stayed in. Staff are really accommodating ensuring we had a parking space. The rooms are beautiful and attention to detail is perfect. We loved our stay from start to finish. Its in a great location just a 15 min walk from the lake. The bed was really comfortable and they had thought of everything we might need including everything from dressing gowns to cotton buds. The breakfast was outstanding, served in our room. The quality of all ingredients was phenomenal. Pretty sure even the butter was homemade and the presentation was so much better than any hotel. We will definitely recommend to everyone we know and would love to stay again.

Had a fab time with my adult daughter in the downstairs twin bedroom. Comfy beds, new bathroom, waterfall large shower. Spacious room with tv. Very friendly helpful staff, delicious breakfast with gluten free options- toast, porridge, fresh fruit. Cooked breakfast tasty. Will book again and definitely recommend

Lovely stay. |Room was lovely, staff incredibly friendly and happy to help. Breakfasts were very tasty. And was lovely to have breakfast brought to your room every morning. |Rum doodle is in a great location. Walking distance to Windermere, and Bowness on Windermere. Only small negative was the bathroom needed updating. But was still extremely clean.

Beautiful BnB, definitely a touch of luxury in every room and the breakfast is exquisite. Private and peaceful with superb care for guests. I would 100% recommend this beautiful peaceful retreat to anyone. Ample parking both at the front and rear of the property. Ideally located for visiting Windemere and further afield. Thank you for having us. We will definitely be back!

We stayed for 3 nights and had a lovely room and the staff were friendly. We had a great breakfast in our room. The price was good for a four poster bed room of this quality. It's also an 8 to 10 minute walk to Windermere and a 15 minute walk to Bowness. The onsite parking was a bonus.

We just stayed at rum doodle for two nights for our anniversary and have to say thank you for a fantastic stay. An amazing bedroom with living room too! Delicious breakfast & lovely staff. Great location for walking into Windermere. Cannot recommend enough. Thank you :)

Had an amazing stay at Rum Doodle for two nights. The aesthetics of the place are really lovely, with lots of interesting details like the bowler hat lights in the hallway. From the very beginning the hosts and staff were amazing, everyone we encountered was so friendly. My partner and I stayed in room "wish", loved the styling of the room and bed was so comfortable. Enjoyed the little extras in the room and we had a great two nights sleep with a lovely breakfast in the mornings. The location was perfect, not too far to walk to nearby towns and off the main road so it was quiet. We even enjoyed sitting on the grass in the front garden one evening. We were also very happy to have car parking and didn't use the car at all from after arrival until we left the property. We would definitely come back to stay at Rum Doodle again, thank you :)
