Saw many great reviews and I decided to try, it did not disappoint. Give it a try when you're in Solo. This restaurant has opened since 1969 and is one of the legendary eateries in the city. The menu varieties are great, big portions, simple presentation, and really tasty food. My dad even requested a takeaway portion to eat later at home. So satisfying. The staff is friendly, and the order came out quickly.

The fried chicken is the best! We don't know fried chicken which is usually considered an ordinary menu but this restaurant is able to present a surprise with their fried chicken which even from the aroma smells special. The chicken is tender with the spices seeping in which makes us miss their fried chicken until now. Anyway, their Nasi Liwet is just okay tho. Highly recommend to try their fried chicken!

One of the legendary restaurants in Solo, they serve quite big variety of meals both local and Chinese/ oriental, also beverages. Super delicious, fast and efficient. We love the Fish sweet and sour and all of their drinks! Will come bacm try their legendary chicken!

Whether you live in Solo or you are visiting Solo, please dont forget to come to this restaurant. It is one of the few proper restaurants in Solo with a long history. Not one of those pop up places, busy for a few months and then fading away again. It is a true restaurant with excellent traditional food. Lots of new restaurants create food that screams at you “do you understand!!?”with their abundance of spice and chilies. However here in Adem Ayem the carefully selected spices and seasoning whisper at you “here I am, what do you think?” Please try it, I have never ever been disappointed coming here, but please make sure to visit the original outlet on Jalan Slamet Riyadhi, the other outlet has the same menu but different taste. Legendary! The crispy fried chicken was so nice, perfect pair with its sambal. It look simple, you might see similar dish anywhere in indonesia but this one is a bit exceptional. They use free range chicken but the meat is sweet and tender, braised and fried perfectly (dry crispy and not oily). The spices is not very complex, really reflecting the humbleness and simplicity of Solo. Reminds me that anything simple demands extra effort to deliver it perfectly. This place is a must when visiting solo.
