A place once belongs to the house of Tjilik Riwut, former Governor of Kalimantan and Indonesian hero. This place shows Dayak Culture a lot, shown by the ambience and design of it. Foods also taste good! They also have live Dayak Music in the evening.

Nostalgic and historical dayak food in the heart of Borneo. I came to this place because of their amazing traditional fermentation drinks called baram madu , it’s so refreshing in the heat of Borneo. They serve wide variety of food but the most interested me is the Middle Borneo dayak culinary with river fish stew with young ratan from the forest. It was delicious and so fresh! Try the tofu with shrimp paste also but this one was influenced by Javanese cuisine i think. The service is good and the ambiance is nice with old nostalgic colonial style houses.

Surrounded by history, unique Dayak cuisine delivered by well meaning staff in a garden setting, near the center of Palangkaraya. Can't ask for much more. Apparently live music plays some nights, contact via Instagram to check. The fermented durian sambal was a first for me. Well done Tjilik Riwut and thanks for sharing your diverse cuisine with me.

Mr Tjilik Riwut is National heroes from central borneo as a paratrooper. Dwelling house by his children he made a gallery and restaurant with the feel of ethnic dayak and photos of city of palangka raya during antiquity. Try cuisines namely umbut rattan (the world exists only in the central kalmantan, Indonesia--imagine we packed material, furniture makers), kandas sarai (lemongras mix with fish), bajei and kalakai (vegetables from the forrest). Other dishes there is nothing nuanced national rawon, "sop buntut", fried rice and fried noodles. Worth a try, drink tea and baram (a typical alcohol dayak, not least with sake from Japan).

A must-have visit place here in Palangkaraya. Very good traditional food, the house is national heritage owned by a friend to 1st president. And they have live music too!

The food is absolutely delicious, very flavourable and fresh! The staff is friendly, helpful and patient with explaining the dishes. The ambient is calm, antique and local, they also have a beautiful garden in the back. Highky recommended and will certainly come back again. Thank you!

It is a museum-restaurant, food is really tasty, i have tried Dayak food it was super tasty and affordable.
