😊: the planned time for breakfast to start at 8.30 am was challenging and not useful for people with work responsibilities and going to the rural areas the whole day. 😢: Breakfast should start at 7am.

The room rendered had no TV but yet I was charged for a full service with TV inclusive tried asking the receptionist, she gave me cheap answers without solutions. Breakfast service I was told it will be provided on the check out day this wasn’t communicated prior to payment what a pathetic service. Requested for wifi password it took me longer since the evening I checked in and in the morning upon requesting for it again I was told they didn’t have the passwords to issue me with. No restaurant or bar services provided. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND anyone to stay in this hotel as their services are way below standards and have NO VALUE FOR MONEY!!!!!

Hotel is cheap, location is good for port. Air con did not work first night as control was broken - the hotel noticed this on showing us to the room but chose to ignore and not tell us so uncomfortable 1st night. Housekeeping kept turning off the hot water in the room so no hot water for duration of stay. Wi-Fi is incredibly annoying - you need a voucher from reception every time you re-enter the hotel. Only facilities are small outdoor area for breakfast. Service not great to be honest vs other places.

Whenever you plan to be at Rumaisa Hotel you won't be bored at all from the reception service up to the rooms service. 😉

This locally owned budget hotel is a perfect location for anyone who wishes to be away from the hassle and bustle of Stone Town but close enough to reach it in a 15 min walk. The accommodations are simple (e.g. no hairdryer or toiletries), and no elevator, but the staff are friendly and very responsive. Beds are firm and linens crisp and clean and great A/C. The dining room is a cozy outdoor alcove with local fare offered buffet style. Breakfast is made fresh to order, though not included as indicated on some booking sites.| The only downside for light sleepers might be the early wake-up calls by several vocal roosters.....|

Clean, very comfortable, and the staff are just wonderful. We felt very safe and happy there. Eating breakfast on the rooftop in the mornings was just gorgeous. Lovely view. Mohammad, the owner, is great. He built the theatre next door. Our son loved it and the staff were very accommodating of our needs. Great start to our holiday.

Stayed here for a night it's comfortable - not that fancy.. a pretty basic hotel but it's conveniently very close to the port if you need to take a ferry out the next morning. The staff at breakfast were very friendly and accommodating. They also managed to get us a baby cot despite not having a prior booking so that was a big plus point for us.
