This was a fabulous find! This is much more than a hotel but not quite a resort. It is part old, grand hotel and part well designed Danish hotel all nestled in a beautiful sculpture garden. We stayed in the new modern building and it was beautiful. This hotel has little pockets everywhere to sit and read or be in nature. There is a very chic deck with loungers and outdoor furniture, seats in this gorgeous garden with lavender and other flowers growing, plenty of sitting areas inside. There is also a game room. ||The reception area offers lawn games, bikes for all ages from toddler to adult, a basket of blankets and towels, a basket of rain boots in all sizes, etc. It is charming! ||The front of the hotel looks like something out of Cape Cod or a grand New England seaside resort and the back is a gorgeous garden with unique sculptures all around. ||There is a beach across the street that was lovely and the hotel will provide you everything you need for a beach day or a picnic day. ||Breakfast was fantastic! So many options and everything was homemade or organic and wonderful. We also had dinner there and it was excellent. Cocktails couldn’t be beat!

5 stars because it lived fully up to my expectations. I was there with a team for a 2 day workshop. The rooms are really nice and situated in a careful way, thus inviting nature close to the balcony. The surroundings are nice and excellent for small walks. The beach is 2 minutes away, and my early morning dip was good medicine. The food is splendid and nicely presented, and the small servings in the meeting room were delicate enough. The bar and associated rooms were good. All in all highly recommended both for business and pleasure.

This is a lovely hotel, very comfortable, clean and with a wonderful relaxing atmosphere. There are lots of stations where you can sit and have a tea or coffee, free of charge. The tea and coffee are excellent quality, with a varied choice of black, white and green teas. Breakfast is a really good buffet, with lots of choice of high quality ingredients. It's also a good choice for kids, with toys you can borrow, like footballs for example. There's an area outside with football goals, which was great for our 8 year old grandson. A trampoline too. There are also things adults can borrow, like bikes and paddle boards. All in all, we really enjoyed our stay and will come back if we are ever in the area again.

The hotel is good for business trips only. The check out at 9 am, Breakfast is very limited with mostly fruits and dairy. Not good choice for families or leisure. The mattresses are very hard, not suitable for comfortable sleeping. We left early for this reason and didn't stay second fully paid night and booked another hotel. The nature and location are beautiful.

This was a lovely hotel with decent service and friendly staff. Location was lovely across from the beautiful little harbor full of little restaurants and such. Also the trampolines scattered around the hotel were both ridiculous and fun. The grounds were huge and nicely maintained. The room we had was spacious but was lacking a mini fridge and man was it hot. I know ac isn’t a thing really in Denmark but it was toasty in our room. A fan would’ve been much appreciated. The bathroom was definitely small and really lacked shelving. There wasn’t a lot of room to place toiletries and such. The view of the herbal garden was lovely from our room. The shower was a bit odd with a curtain partition and a drain in the makeshift shower area of the bathroom by the window. It was impossible not to get water everywhere which took forever to dry despite the open windows. Coffee, tea and water stations everywhere in the hotel were a godsend though. The tea selection was top tier. Breakfast was quite good and had a variety of options. Overall a very nice stay.

Hotel offered exceptional views of the marina and also explore the forest. It's kitted out with various coffee machines in lobby and hallways, rooms are fairly basic but offer a great night's sleep. Meeting rooms are adequate for conferences, although do tend to get warm

Yelp
I stayed there on business for a week. Upon arrival, the hotel grounds are beatifically kept. However, the rooms leave a lot to be desired. From the front reception desk to the actual what they call Forest rooms it is about a block-long walk. Once I got to my room there were two what look like cots for beds. The mattress's were awful 2 inch thick slabs. One pillow & one throw pillow on each cot. the throw blankets were gross, to say the least. There was a tiny cell phone that wasn't connected to reach the front desk. They don't have air conditioning in the rooms so you have to open the sliding glass doors without screens - letting in all the bugs from outside. The bathrooms are open and only two towels & 2 small rolls of toilet tissue are given. No-wash cloths, soap bars, only a generic wall dispenser. The shower runs out of hot water fast. Overall cleanliness was a 4 on a scale of 1-10. Trying to sleep on the slab was bad enough, but the house cleaning people didn't respect the hanging "Privacy" tags on the door, constantly walking in each day. I would have to say the best part of the stay was the coffee. I would NOT recommend.

Yelp
I'm on a 25 day trip in Denmark. I'm staying at the Rungstedgaard. This is an awesome place with all of the amenities you can imagine. Staff are very helpful. These pictures are from the hotel except for the beach picture. It is literally across the street. There is a public access path.

Yelp
Excellent hotel about 1/2 an hour north of Copenhagen. I cannot say enough nice things about this breakfast/brunch buffet. The selection at complimentary buffet was the largest and highest quality that we have experienced at any hotel. The fruit juices tasted fresh squeezed but there was also a juicer available if you preferred making your own. The coffee was excellent and served in stylish Stelton vacuum pitchers. There was a wide variety of food options and in spite of eating here three times I did not exhaust all the options. Hot options included crispy bacon and scrabbled eggs. There were also a wide variety of yogurts, cereals, breads and pastries. Altogether an excellent breakfast/brunch buffet at an excellent hotel/conference center.
