HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE
We waited nearly three hours before receiving our food. Despite having a reservation, we were seated an hour after our reserved time. What is the point of taking reservations if you can’t honor them?
Once seated, it took an unreasonably long time for anyone to take our order, and even longer for the food to arrive—even basic items like soup. We had to repeatedly ask for the dishes we had ordered before they were finally brought out.
The food itself was extremely disappointing. It was bland, poorly prepared, and the vegetables were essentially raw. For a soup, dumplings, and a vegetable stir-fry, we paid around $45 USD, which is grossly overpriced for the quality. There are far better places to eat in San Ignacio.
What made the experience even worse was the clear favoritism. Guests who arrived after us—and with later reservation times—were seated before us simply because they got angry and caused a scene. Apparently, creating a ruckus is the only way to get service here. One family of about ten people received their food within 30 minutes, while we waited close to three hours just for a bowl of soup.
This place has serious operational issues:
Why take reservations if you don’t have the capacity to serve?
Why not prepare in advance when you know how many reservations you have?
Why prioritize some customers over others?
If you are overbooked, why not turn people away instead of making them wait endlessly?
Do not come here. Horrible customer service, undercooked food, and completely overpriced. Not worth the time, money, or frustration.
