Rupakot Resort

The location of the hotel is exceptional. The property itself offers plenty of space to roam around, surrounded by lush greenery and beautiful views. However, the service was not up to the mark. We had to wait a long time at the restaurant just to get a menu and water, and some of the crockery was chipped. While the food was okay, the overall service in the restaurant was lacking. On the bright side, the buffet breakfast was delicious and offered a wide variety of options. The room we got was spacious and clean. However, the bed itself was uncomfortable. It seemed like two beds had been joined together to form a larger bed, and the middle section was noticeably raised and uncomfortable. Also, the air conditioning did not work properly. We had to request a battery change for the remote, but the AC continued to malfunction throughout the night. The hotel would benefit from paying more attention to overall service and management, rather than relying solely on its location to deliver a good guest experience.

We recently stayed at this resort with my family in November 2025, and overall, we had a very pleasant experience. The infrastructure, ambiance, and services are very good. The resort is well-maintained, creating a lovely atmosphere for a family holiday. We found the staff hospitality to be quite satisfactory—everyone was helpful and polite. The highlight, by far, was the extravagant mountain view from the property; it was absolutely breathtaking. The one area we feel needs improvement is the food. Compared to similarly priced resorts, we were disappointed with the taste and quality of the cuisine. While the breakfast menu was diverse, the execution didn't quite please our taste buds. For instance, the curry had an overpowering amount of garam masala, and the fried rice was notably oily. However, I don't believe this is a deal-breaker. The resort offers so much else for a nice, relaxing stay. I would still recommend this resort, especially for the incredible location and views, but management should look into elevating the dining experience to match the high quality of the rest of the property.

We had a wonderful stay at Rupakot Resort. From the moment we arrived, the experience was excellent — starting with the gate security, then the reception team, and throughout our stay with the housekeeping staff. Everyone was polite, professional, and genuinely welcoming. A special thank you to Sunil Sapkota for taking such great care of us and making sure everything was comfortable. His recommendations and support really made our visit memorable. Highly recommended, and we would definitely encourage others to visit! The only downside was the limited variety of food and the quality, which could be improved.

Currently staying at Rupakot Resort. The view from the resort is truly mesmerizing. However, the service and management feel a bit lackluster. We booked a Premium Room View, but basic amenities such as toilet paper were missing. Bathroom supplies and slippers should have been stocked according to the number of guests, but this was not the case. Breakfast was another disappointment. Although we arrived within the allocated breakfast time, most of the food trays were almost empty and were not refilled. Additionally, the tables were dirty and had not been cleaned. On a positive note, the staff are friendly and polite. We tried the spa as well. It was my first spa massage, and the experience was truly relaxing and my body feels much lighter after the session. Thank you to Sushila and Lalu Maya for making the experience so refreshing and enjoyable.

We visited the resort on Dec 18, 2025 . The moment we entered the resort, we were greeted by mountain views and lake views. The view was outstanding. The room was luxurious and all the services were top notch. We were guided by Durga dai during our stay. He also guided us to the swimming pool with breathtaking view and helped us to capture our best shots. Thank you for the great memories.

Poor experience. Would not recommend. We had a very disappointing stay at Rupakot Resort. The staff and managers were rude and unhelpful throughout our visit. The food was also an issue. The chicken and fish smelled bad, which is unacceptable for a resort of this level. We were a large group of more than 32 people, and none of us were given a room with the “view” the resort is known for. All the rooms faced inside the resort and were very average. We had booked for 2 days but decided to leave after the first day due to the overall experience. Despite this, we were asked to pay the full price for the second day as well. We ended up paying a certain amount per person anyway, which felt unfair. This place is advertised as a resort, yet we were told not to make noise, which completely ruined the group experience. Overall, not worth the price or the hype.

We had a wonderful stay at Rupakot Resort. All the staff were friendly and very helpful, especially the Manager who assisted us in booking our bus trip back to Kathmandu, and the receptionist (sadly, I forgot her name 🥹). The view is absolutely spectacular, and the rooms are clean and exceeded our expectations 💚🙏 We also loved the free shuttle service, which made going back and forth very convenient. Thank you, Rupakot Resort, for such a memorable stay.

I booked a mountain view room for a couple for one night at Rupakot Resort because of its location. The location was great, and the infrastructure was awesome. They had an outdoor swimming pool, jacuzzi, small garden, and it was the best place for a mountain view. The place was expensive, but it was reasonable because of its remote location where all the supplies need to be transported. We enjoyed the amenities. The service we got was really disappointing. We had to wait for more than an hour at the restaurant for our food and at least half an hour if we asked for a refill, and that was with our other order. We had ordered two dishes for dinner in our room, and they smelled bad was taste was horrible, we could barely eat them. The room was big, and was well made. They had big bed, but with 2 double bed mattress combined. We were specific about room being couple room. It was very difficult to sleep in the bed as the joint between two mattresses was very uncomfortable and noticable snough to disturb the sleep. I wouldn't recommend Rupakot Resort to anyone. And if someone wants to go to such a place, please do your homework and talk with them about the issues they are having with food and service.
