Such a lovely place to stay. Beautiful grounds, lovely restaurants and pool area. The staff and service are exceptional and kindly.Especially the boy who is from the Food and Beverage Department. His name is peculiar. MR Maung Ko Ko Myint🤣.I just call him Marco. He has a good sense of humor and is able to make me feel comfortable and able to talk to me every time I come to the pool. The staff from other departments are also friendly, but no staff can influence me as much as that boy.I will come to that pool again just because of that boy. His communication skills are really impressive and I will never forget his hospitality.I would definitely like to come again.

Nothing much near the surrounding area. One restaurant serving mix types of food. Good price and good portion. My room is big, but bad soundproofing; service is mediocre. Hot water for shower, occasionally power off. Endless Mosquitoes… should have some mosquito nets on bed just in case. Breakfast is great.

It's declining service compare with last 5 years ago when was a very nice hotel at that time. So many mosquitos. Breakfast also not good compare with the same price rage hotels. We've booked for 2 nights but we got only 1 night and not notified at the time of our check in. It's a bit rush we have to move to another hotel.

I used the Rupar Mandalar as my base for a month long stay in Mandalay. It allowed me to explore the area with a great place to return to. |All of the staff were very friendly and helpful. The resort is very well kept and beautiful. I was treated as a special guest at all times. I hope to return.

The hotel is beautiful and the pool is nice. The breakfast is no choice and usual. The pool environment need deep cleaning. The management team is so stiff. The mosquitoes are everywhere. Generator is back up 24 hr.

We stayed here for four nights in a Premier Suite Twin and enjoyed our stay. We arrived well before check-in time, but we were allowed to check-in and only had to wait a short time for our room to be ready. The room was luxurious, clean, spacious and very well appointed - perfect. We didn't pay extra for a garden or pool view so our balcony view was not that exciting, overlooking the fence at the rear of the hotel - but that is fair enough - however we did get some drain smells when sitting out there in the evening (I think we were close to the lid of the septic tank as we could hear water rushing into it) - but this was the only thing wrong and it wasn't a deal-breaker. The public spaces, swimming pool and restaurant area were all excellent. The staff were all very friendly, polite and helpful. We took all our meals in the restaurant and the food and entertainment were excellent. My wife has a range of food intolerances and the Maitre D' (Bobo) was very understanding and ensured that her food was specially prepared to cater for her needs, nothing was too much trouble. The hotel is outside of the centre of Mandalay with not much around it, making it reasonably peaceful, and it was easy enough to get transport to come and pick us up. Being Mandalay there were a lot of mosquitoes around the hotel and we were able to request mosquito nets for our beds (note that these aren't provided automatically, you have to ask). I would certainly return to this hotel if I ever come back to Mandalay and would recommend it to others.

Such a lovely place to stay. Beautiful grounds, lovely restaurants and pool area. Very quiet and serene. The staff and service are exceptional. Nothing was too much trouble. When I was unwell they made me toast which was not on the menu and didn’t charge me for it. I would definitely stay here again.

I stayed at Rupar Mandalar for three nights in early March 2020. This is a very lovely hotel with well-kept grounds. The staff is warm and gracious. The breakfast buffet is very nice. The rooms are clean and well appointed. The only issue I had was with noise. There is a very large construction project right next to the hotel, with a significant amount of noise from around 8AM to 5PM. I was given a very nice corner room facing the pool area ..... the view was great. Sadly, though, it was next to a neighborhood full of dogs. Every night from midnight to around 3AM there was an unending chorus of barking dogs which made it difficult to sleep. Also, there was a party in the pool area one evening with alcohol-fueled Karaoke singing until around 10PM. I did not mention any of this to the hotel managers as there was really nothing they could have done to reduce the noise. This would have been a perfect stay except for lots and lots of noise.
