Ru’s Farm was the absolute perfect spot for our July wedding. The venue is beautifully tucked away with stunning vineyard views. The grassy area beneath the beautiful oak tree created the most picturesque setting for our ceremony, and the barn made for an unforgettable night of dancing and celebration. A special shoutout to Kristen, the director at Ru’s, who helped make everything run seamlessly. She was incredibly accommodating, coordinating multiple site visits with me and my extended family. Her knowledge of the property, the surrounding area, and wine was truly impressive. Kristen is also just the nicest human, and every interaction we had was so fun and genuine!! And if you’re in need of a wedding planner, I can’t recommend Taylor Lyon with Summer Range Events enough! Her support and expertise made our planning process so smooth.

We had the most dreamy July wedding at ru's Farm. Everything about it was amazing. The views are stunning, the grounds are beautiful, and its the perfect size for a 100-150 person wedding. Our guests couldn't stop gushing about it! We couldn't stop gushing about it!! Kristen was very easy to work with and also very helpful. If we had to do it all over again, there is no doubt we would choose ru's.

As a wedding photographer, I can confidently say that Ru’s Farm is hands down one of the easiest and most beautiful venues to work with in Healdsburg. The natural light here is absolutely incredible throughout the entire day - no matter what time you’re shooting, you’re guaranteed gorgeous, soft lighting that makes every shot look magical.

Staying on the property wasn’t just beautiful—it was incredibly convenient, especially with all the moving parts of a wedding weekend. The house is spacious (even with vendors coming and going), and the views from the deck and back patio are stunning. The entire property is kept in pristine condition—it’s clear how much care goes into maintaining it. If you're a bride or groom getting married at Ru's Farm, staying here is an absolute MUST. It made our weekend so much smoother and more special. The location of Ru’s is also perfect—just minutes from downtown Healdsburg—making it easy for guests to find accommodations, explore, and get to and from the venue with ease. Another perk we loved: the venue allows you to serve hard alcohol, which is rare for wine country venues! Working with Kristen was a dream. She’s responsive, accommodating, kind, and genuinely excited for every couple that chooses to get married here. She made the planning process smooth and enjoyable. Words and photos truly don’t do this place justice—you have to see it in person to understand how special it is. We’re forever grateful for the memories we created here with our loved ones. What a magical place. Ru’s provided a stunning backdrop for our wedding day, and it was the perfect place for us and our guests to celebrate our love. From the beautiful grounds, vineyard views and the oak trees that provided the dreamiest canopy for our ceremony and dinner, we could not have imagined a more wonderful setting. And the barn! What a great place to host a party! We also stayed at the Coop during our wedding weekend and loved being on-site to witness its gorgeous transformation and play host to our families as we got ready there on our wedding day. If you are looking for a wedding venue in Healdsburg- look no further. When we stepped foot onto Ru's Farm we met Lele and walked the grounds and knew this was the venue for us! The entire process was so easy from booking, communications, and vendor recommendations. We rented the Coop as well to get ready and it was such a perfect spot to be on the property but tucked away from the main grounds. Our guests continue to say how magical the wedding weekend was because of our venue! Guests walk through olive trees and into an open cocktail space with an abundance of flowers and fresh lavender. The ceremony site is under a beautiful large oak tree overlooking the Alexander Valley. The backdrop really sold me on why we had to get married at Ru's! Dinner was in front of the barn with twinkly lights. Then the dance party was in the barn where we also had lounge seating, and dessert! We had 140 guests which felt like just the right amount of people and the spaces all flowed nicely for it to feel like we could all be together the entire evening- without it feeling too large. We are still on such a high almost five months later and friends still tell us it was the best wedding of 2022! We cannot thank you LeLe and LJ for the best weekend!

Gorgeous setting with tall mature trees providing shade on a blistering hot wedding day. The lavender was in full bloom, fragrant and so pretty. The rock paths were well maintained and easy on the feet. A long distance view of vineyards completed the classic Sonoma County venue, elegant but also laid back and natural.

Delightful brief stay at The Nest at ru Farm - a most charming place! The cottage is as depicted on VRBO, & most comfy bed & linens - did NOT want to get our of bed in the morning! The surrounding gardens that are part of the ru Farm venue & vineyard vista are worth the trip to visit there alone! So many photo ops. And so close to the wonderful small town of Healdsburg with lots of great restaurant options. Easy process to check in & out. Sure hope to return!

The "Nest" at Ru's Farm is the best place that we have stayed in Sonoma. We would get up early each morning and hike nearby at Shiloh Springs Regional Park.Then on the way back we would stop at Quail and Condor for bread/goodies. We enjoyed the French Press and Fellow water heater and would enjoy our breakfast on the back porch overlooking the vineyard. We always find our way to the Healdsburg Market on Saturday morning for gourmet foods and beautiful produce. We also check out the Bohemian Creamery for great cheeses. It was delightfully cool in the mornings and late evenings so we could open the screened windows and enjoy the country air.

Ah this place is absolutely magical and breathtaking!!! My husband and I got married at Ru's Farm this past summer (we booked in 2019 but due to COVID we postponed to 2021). I can't say enough positive things about the venue, the views, the team (Lele - who was our main point of contact here is WONDERFUL!). The grounds are beautifully kept. The views... I'm still speechless. Our guests kept telling us how beyond beautiful the property is! It has that rustic feel but also very timeless & romantic. The barn onsite is a great place to gather to dance and is amazing. We stayed onsite at the cottage, which is so clean & beautiful. It also makes it so convenient to get ready and gather before the wedding! With all the craziness of this past year, Lele was nothing short of amazing! Beyond sweet, flexible with the changes, and extremely responsive. I'd love to have our wedding day all over again ;) THANK YOU LELE and Ru's Farm for holding such a special place in our hearts!! It was a perfect day!!!

As you walk the grounds at Ru's Farm, it feels like you're stepping into a little slice of Italian countryside. The venue is perfectly manicured, the views are epic, and it's conveniently located just outside of downtown Healdsburg. Lele and her team are fantastic. Lele is knowledgeable, helpful, kind and caring - she makes the client feel right at home. She and her husband, LJ, put in the work to make sure the space is fully equipped, allowing the vendor team to create and do our job successfully. We loved designing and coordinating in this warm and inviting venue and can't wait for another opportunity to do so in the future.

Ru's Farm is such a beautiful place to get married! After searching all around for the perfect venue in the Napa and Sonoma area, I was starting to think we just wouldn't find the right combination of a beautiful outdoor space that felt private, surrounded by nature, but still with a touch of luxury. I was also very keen on the idea of getting married under a big beautiful tree that would offer shade for us and our guests. Ru's Farm ended up being just what we were looking for! We were sold on it from the moment we saw the old olive trees at the entrance! The big oak tree is the perfect place for a ceremony and the garden and barn can be decorated to feel as luxurious as you want. It is also very nice and quiet and feels like your own private place to celebrate with family and friends. It was just the right size for our wedding of around 85 people. It also has a beautiful smell of lavender when you enter thanks to all the lavender plants by the cocktail space. Lele was also great to work with and was helpful when we needed to postpone the date due to the pandemic. Definitely recommend! The wine growlers are also a really cute touch that make for great keepsakes from your wedding day! And I recommend booking the cottage to get ready in or just to enjoy the hot tub with a view of the stars before or after the wedding.

My husband and I fell in love with Ru's Farm at the start of our wedding venue search and knew it was the perfect place for our event - the setting is quintessential wine country, with a truly stunning view of the valley from the property (everyone had such incredible photos!). It perfectly showcases the natural beauty of the region, and the owners (who are the absolute sweetest people) have carefully landscaped the garden such that we didn't need extra flowers or decor - it was stunning as-is. The reception, ceremony, and dinner areas are nestled together, which created an intimate feeling at the actual wedding, and the barn is perfect for a grand entry and dancing. We rented the VRBO on-site as well, which was a treat during the wedding weekend and an easy place to get ready and stay after the wedding. More than the gorgeous setting and thoughtful setup, though, is how fantastic Ru's and Bella were in navigating planning a wedding during COVID. They worked with us to shift the date, and were gracious and empathetic throughout. I could not recommend a more laid-back yet expert team in Lele and her family. Bella, their partner and wine provider, is a place we've long enjoyed, and made picking out wedding wine very fun. Everything felt seamless and easy, and the day itself was memorable in every way. Highly highly highly recommend! We'd choose Ru's again in a heartbeat!

This is a breathtaking wedding venue- elegant yet rustic, like you stepped into a Tuscan dream scene with bees buzzing about the lavender and the stately old olive trees lining the walk. My daughters June wedding here was sublime, thanks in no small part to the venue's manager Lele. Communication was easy and direct and the recommendations for vendors familiar with the property were spot on. Our guests loved everything about it- a stunning ceremony space under a cork tree with vineyards views forever. A separate chic cocktail area and dinner tables in yet another area all shaded from the afternoon sun. The barn is charming for dancing with a separate inside bar and a dessert table. The vendors love working at Ru's farm- so many photo opportunities! Gardens and scenery. It's got it all. We can't thank Ru's enough for making this special day spectacular.

My wife and I were married at Ru's Farm in May. The venue exceeded our expectations with its breathtaking scenery overlooking a vineyard and communicative and attentive staff, ensuring a stress-free planning process. The venue's natural beauty provided a stunning backdrop for our celebration and dancing the night away in the barn was SO fun. Overall, Ru's Farm is an excellent venue and one that we will treasure and remember forever.

Truly the BEST place we could have imagined to get married. We found Ru's Farm early in our venue search at the suggestion of our also fabulous wedding planner Cristina Heald. When we walked onto Ru's we just knew this was exactly where we wanted to get married. First, Lele, who runs the show at Ru's is just such a kind, fun and warm person. She made us feel right at home and when we had to delay in 2020 (booked in 2019, delayed summer 2020 to summer 2021), she was just so understanding and wonderful to work with. We really can't say enough wonderful things about her. Second, Ru's Farm is beyond beautiful and just set up to make the wedding flow seamlessly. Every little space at Ru's is picturesque- our guests could not stop commenting on how stunning the whole venue is. Guests walk in thru these gorgeous olive trees and into an open cocktail space with loads of native flowers and fresh lavender. The ceremony site in under this beautiful large oak tree overlooking the vines. You really can't pick a more perfect backdrop. Dinner is under more perfectly placed olive trees just in front of the barn. And then the dance party gets started in the amazing barn- we also had our desserts, a lounge area, bar space and photo booth all in there so it's really spacious! My parents stayed on-site at the cottage which made it really easy for them when they were ready to call it a night. We also used that space for all the ladies to get ready and the second, smaller cottage for the guys. Made everything run really smoothly. We are so happy that we chose to get married at Ru's and would do it all over again in a heart beat. Absolutely magical!

If I could pick my own "Groundhog Day", it would be our wedding day at Ru's Farm. I never expected how wonderful that day was going to be. We had planned for years to get married in our back yard, which has incredible sweeping views of Alexander Valley, and then meet our guests at a venue afterward for dinner and dancing. When we first visited ru's farm as the possible dinner venue, we immediately decided to perform the ceremony there too. The beautiful back drop rivaled our own backyard view, and the convenience of doing the whole evening in one place made it a no-brainer. The property is not only breathtaking, but perfectly laid out with defined cocktail, ceremony, dinner and dancing areas, while still feeling like one space where we could be all together the whole evening. The charm of the barn, the convenience of the cottage, and the many photo ops around just added to a long list of amenities at our fingertips while planning our day. We started the day with our wedding party, in the cottage, toasting with bubbles to wash away the jitters, while peeking out the window watching our guests arrive, walking down the olive tree path with huge smiles as they explored the venue. We then took our vows under the cork tree, with the vineyard as a backdrop. It felt surprisingly intimate, even with 142 guests witnessing, and showering us with love and support. We returned to the cottage to freshen up immediately after the ceremony, as the guests were ushered to the cocktail area for refreshments. There was plenty of room for all of them to mingle, with a full bar and band to entertain them. As they celebrated in the cocktail area, and we freshened in the cottage, the staff was easily able to break down the ceremony chairs and replace them with comfortable lounge areas on the lawn. I had requested that swap, so that the beautiful view of the vineyards was available to everyone for the rest of the night. When we returned to greet our guests, and receive an overwhelming flood of love and congratulations, we had a wonderful dinner on finely set tables under the sycamore trees. The contrast of the rustic farm outdoor setting, and the elegantly set dinner tables was striking. After toasts and cutting of the cake, we disappeared for a few minutes, until our band leader commanded the crowds attention to announce us. The barn doors, which had been closed up until that point, opened to us already in the midst of our first dance. A few minutes later we waved our guests into the barn to dance the rest of the evening away. The barn experience was an unexpected "cherry on the top" for all of our guests. The evening was perfect. We were on a high for weeks afterward, but we had decided we would not become "those obnoxious newlywed" who were always working their wedding into the conversation (even though we really wanted to). Well, we didn't have to. Every time we see friends since (it's been over 3 months) THEY bring it up for us, and walk to talk through all of the details. We've heard more than a dozen times "Don't tell my wife (husband) this, but that was the best wedding I've every been to." My only wish is that we get a chance to experience the property as a guest sometime soon, so we can take in all it has to offer without the responsibility of being the center of attention.

We had our wedding at RUs in April 2022 and it was truly THE BEST DAY! RUs was the first wedding venue we looked at and after arriving, meeting Lele, and looking at the gorgeous grounds- we knew it was the one. Every single thing part of booking, communicating, and the vendor recommendations were smooth and top notch. We rented the Coop as well to get ready in and it was perfect to be so close and in such a calm and tucked away setting while able to peek at the set up progress! The day of was beautiful and everyone was raving about how amazing and naturally gorgeous the property was! Lele, you have such a gem of a property and a talent for this and for that we are so thankful. We are so happy we found you and RUs and will forever feel lucky we got to spend our wedding day with you!

Ru's Farm is the most stunning wedding venue owned and managed by the sweetest couple! Lele is joyful, professional, and a great communicator. It's also partnered with Bella Winery so you get to serve some of Sonoma's best wines. All our wedding guests were in awe of the property, from the immense cork tree overlooking endless vineyards to the rose garden and olive tree groves. The environment cultivates intimate and relaxing vibes while modern touches elevate the aesthetic design, all of which shine in photos and videos. We also stayed overnight on the property at the gorgeous cottages, which made the entire weekend experience truly unforgettable. This place and the people laid the foundation for an exceptionally beautiful wedding experience!

Ru's is the most perfect wedding venue, run by the nicest people, in the best location! I can't imagine a better spot to get married. It was the first venue we toured, and we immediately loved it. It's a gorgeous spot that's meticulously maintained and a perfect setup for a Sonoma wedding. We had 115 guests and it was a great size. So many guests commented on the beautiful venue, shady ceremony site, and magical barn for the dance party. It's less than 10 minutes from downtown Healdsburg, so it's easy for guests to find convenient lodging and other things to do while they're in town. The onsite cottage wasn't available on our date, but we stayed in town and got a shuttle to bring us to the venue and it couldn't have been easier. Finally, Lele and LJ are lovely people and so easy to work with. They even let us use the venue for a couple of hours for our "minimoney" in 2020 free of charge when we had to postpone because of of Covid. All of our vendors love working at Ru's and I can see why!

We simply could not have envisioned a more beautiful, comforting place to stay - and to host our wedding! Gathering at the gorgeous cottage eliminated some of the stress of preparing for the day - and getting there on time :) Leighann is pure delight to work with. She is kind and attentive not to mention joyful! And the farm... stunning! Our guests could not stop raving about the venue. The tree where we were wed overlooks vineyards and keeps the guests shaded for the event. The grounds are immaculate - expertly tended with greenery and flowers. There is a separate area for cocktails where guests can relax on couches under shady umbrellas. Then there is the barn - a fabulously rustic space that encourages dancing and other shenanigans. Love the Ru's Farm family and are grateful that they are part of our wonderful history as well.

My wife and I were married at Ru's Farm over a week ago. The only way to describe the property is magical! Not only are the views picturesque, but the venue is properly shaded to accommodate even the hottest of days, which is a huge consideration for such an outdoor event. The property is meticulously maintained and offers the ideal setting for guests to mingle in whichever areas they choose: ceremony lawn, cocktail area, dining area, barn. One could easily sit in any of these areas and enjoy them as if it were a lazy Sunday afternoon. Ru's was the very first wedding venue that my wife and I visited, and after checking out a few others, was the only one that felt right. For us, right being a rustic-chic setting that wasn't overly flowery, yet still naturally beautiful. However, whatever I say here will never live up to what the venue offers in person. Though beautiful is a relative term, it's fair to say that all of our guests agreed that Ru's is / was simply beautiful! That being said, it's not the property alone that makes this venue special, it's the owners. Leighann and John are amazing people and fun to work with! They are very hands-off, yet hands-on when you need them the most. We couldn't think of better people to help pull off our special day. If we had to choose again, we'd choose Ru's Farm and the owners behind the magic curtain!

Words can't describe how perfect Ru's Farm is and how wonderful Lele and her husband are. I am in tears writing this as we reflect on our special day at Ru's Farm. Lele, her husband, and the gorgeous venue made our dream a reality. We initially planned to get married in May 2020 and that was postponed due to the pandemic. At no additional cost, Lele continued to work with us and allowed us to have a small 15 person ceremony under the oak tree during the pandemic and we were ALSO able to have our big celebration with 100 guests a year later. This meant the world to us and was unheard of from many venues during this crazy covid time. Lele is full of love and joy. They are passionate about what they do. They take such great care of the property. The olive trees, lavender field, oak tree is just stunning. The views of the vineyard are phenomenal. So many friends and family approached us after the wedding the share that it was the most beautiful venue they have ever been to. Lele is reliable, organized, compassionate, detail oriented, loving, knowledgeable, and she has great relationships with so many vendors in the area. The day went seamlessly. There are so many beautiful spots on the property that our photographer took advantage of. One thing we love most about Ru's is the flow, from how guests enter to the ceremony, to the cocktail hour and then dinner and dancing. It flows so beautifully and naturally. It really is a special place. From the moment we walked at Ru's during the tour (even in the rain!), we knew it was meant to be our special place. We have always dreamed of marrying under an oak tree and Ru's made our dream a reality. We can not recommend Ru's Farm enough, Lele, and her husband are the dream team. And we can't forget their incredible wine from Bella Vineyards.Thank you for everything. Our special day was perfect and we will always remember Ru's Farm and all you have done for us. Perfect wedding venue! The grounds are breathtaking... Ceremony under a huge tree overlooking the vineyard. Trees and gardens everywhere. Gorgeous! Plenty of shade. Every inch perfectly maintained. Nice area for outside dining. Restored rustic barn for bar set up and dancing. Enjoyed every minute of my sons wedding and would highly recommend! WIGB??? YES!!!

Nice location for a casual / casual/elegant wedding. There is no air conditioning, not enough bathrooms, and it's a barn. Don't wear stilettos because there is a decent amount of walking on uneven surfaces or grass.

We were so completely thrilled with this venue! Barbara and Walter take such good care of the property and you can tell it is their pride and joy. All of our guests just LOVED the space from the jaw dropping view of the viewyards beyond the cork oak tree, to the gorgeous flower gardens to the rustic, romantic stunning barn, which absolutely glows during the late afternoon. The amount of charming little details on this property is a pinterest DREAM! We also loved that this venue allowed us to bring in whatever wine and liquor we wanted -- a huge plus for us since we are very specific, particular wine lovers. Barbara was very accomodating whenever we wanted to visit (we live in LA) and let us roam, dream and plan as we needed. We consider ourselves so incredibly lucky that we snagged the last open Saturday spot for 2014 back in September 2013. If this is a maybe on your list, go see it and get in quickly because it books out fast! We truly had a story book wedding and have HCG to thank for it all!!! Thanks so much Barbara and Walter!!

We got married at RU's 10/23/2021. It is the most beautiful place! The old oak tree over looking the vines is a stunning backdrop of photos or a ceremony. And the barn is just the right amount of rustic and charming. Even in the rain our guests could not stop gushing at the beauty of the venue. Lele is the best to work with too! She is so positive and really takes pride in the venue and in everything she does. Our wedding was the weekend of the biggest storm in a very long time! Which meant a lot of last minute changes and even the addition of valet service because the parking was too muddy, but Lele led the charge and everything was perfect! We had to move the ceremony, dinner and dancing into the barn, when the original plan was just to have dancing inside. The quick flips between each event were flawless and all of guests had a wonderful time! I would 1000% recommended having an event at RU's Farm!

We were lucky enough to married here in May 2019. Our dream was to have a wine country wedding, but Ru's Farm surpassed all of our expectations. The second we walked on property, we knew it was THE place. It is an absolutely beautiful property that is well taken care of by Lele. Lele is the nicest, most generous property manager and host. She was welcoming and fun adding to our wedding excitement! She was super helpful and supportive to make our wedding dreams come true. I can't put enough positivity out in the world for HCG. This venue was the first one my partner and I looked at, and after stepping foot on the property, everything else paled heavily in comparison. We had three requirements: A vineyard, a barn and BYOB. (My partner works for a wine company, so the BYOB was a huge perk and saved us a ton of money. And we're both from Texas, so the barn was a must.) HCG has everything. The scenery speaks for itself. Your pictures will not disappoint. And your memories will not soon fade. This place burns its way into you heart and mind. And it leaves a lasting impression with guests as well. The logistical icing on top: the rentals (tables, chairs, and a stockpile of unique antique knick-knacks) are included. The onsite housing is unbeatable, especially on the day of the wedding when you are getting ready with your closest friends and family and winding down under the stars in a private hot tub. We have so many positive memories of HCG. (Barbara runs a tight ship and vendors love the property set up too.) At first, we balked at the costs and early end-time (9:00pm). But when all was said and done, 100 of our closets friends from Texas and other parts of the country were travelling for the destination and HCG is THE place to showcase the best that wine country weddings have to offer.

Lele and her team were absolutely incredible. We had an amazing wedding at Ru's, and we feel incredibly lucky to have been married on the property.

Ru's Farm was truly the most magical place to be married. Our wedding in Sept 2019 could not have been more perfect. We fell in love with Ru's from the first time we saw it and our guests did, too. The property is absolutely beautiful, well maintained, and has a wonderful flow, from the ceremony under the big tree, to the cocktail hour by the aviary, to dinner under the olive trees, to dancing in the barn. Each space is perfect for its function in a way that we have never seen another venue work. And everything is so close that the event flows seamlessly, but yet feels like you are in a different place for each part of the event. The staff there also could not have been better. Leighann (Lele) is just the most wonderful, warm person - we loved working with her and her husband and would do so again in a heartbeat. They were so solicitous of us and so excited for us - I can't imagine not having that warmth and love from the venue but I know that it is not at all normal. We had a wonderful tasting at Bella Winery and loved the wine - we were a little nervous going in that we would be forced to buy wine we didn't like but that was not at all the case. We ended up buying 6 cases, 2 more than the minimum, and we'll probably go back and buy more rose because it was just that good! We also rented the adjoining 3BR cottage for the bridesmaids, and I got ready there the morning of. That was a wonderful decision - it's not cheap but it made the whole day so much smoother, and it was a nice gift for our bridesmaids. The cottage is lovely. Truly, Ru's Farm was magical and we just feel so lucky to have been able to get married there!

Absolutely magical place to have a wedding. Mind you, I'm not talking about *my* wedding as it's anyone's guess when that day will arrive ... However, one of my closest girlfriends got married here over the Labor Day Holiday and it was absolutely spectacular! The property itself was unbelievably gorgeous. Sprawling vineyards, gorgeous flowers at every turn, quaint glamour and luxury, grape vines peeking thru the trellis outside the barn, large trees providing shade ... I could go on and on. The wedding was on a gorgeous Sunday in September. Warm but not blistering with just a slight breeze whipping through the trees ... On property is an adorable little house, somewhat like a 1-bedroom abode with a kitchenette and bathroom. They provide the bride and her bridesmaids this room to finish getting ready and prep before the big walk down the aisle ... It is surrounded by fragrant, beautiful flowers and a cute little patio. There is also a larger house on property that is available for rent for those attending/participating in the wedding. Our brides mother & father in-laws and sister-in-laws stayed here for the weekend. This was absolutely perfect. This house also served as a storage place for all the alcohol for the main event. How funny to look down the entrance of the house and see nothing but cases of wine, beer, champagne ... Awesome! The wedding was set on the lawn with a backdrop of the vineyards. They were wed under a large tree - a setting that almost looked unreal. After the wedding, we all moved to the patio (the trellis with grape vines peeking down) for cocktails and passed Hor'devours. Little white lights decorated the inside of the barn for dancing later. The food was yummy delicious! I can't really remember every item I put on my plate, but trust this picky girl - delish!! One note: HCG, it might be nice to offer a sort of stable "walkway" down the aisle so that us girls in 5" heels don't have a panic attack. LoL. Good news - this girl didn't teeter, didn't fall ... A win!

Wife and I had our wedding here Aug '13, it was nothing short of stellar. This was Barbara and Walt do a good job of making you feel at home at their home. Barbara's attention to detail is great, she sends regular updates on what's new at HCG (i.e. adding wine barrels), and when we needed to submit documents. When we were picking our date, Barbara showed us her notes on temperature readings that she tracks so we knew we had a high probability of a nice sunny day. Also we weren't locked into any vendor contracts, we brought in the caterer, cake, alcohol, DJ, etc. of our choice. While it might have a higher initial cost, being able to bring your own caterer and alcohol from BevMo can save you some cash. And of course I have to give my lady, Cindy, much props for putting together awesome vendors. The downside is the hours end the wedding rather early, but if you start earlier in the afternoon you can get a great event, and it makes for a long day regardless. We recommend H2 Hotel for an after-party. The grounds are extremely well taken care of, the view is breath-taking, and there's ample help when needed. We also rented two other houses on the property for our families to stay at which turned out great, since it gave us an opportunity (groomsmen) to get ready. The venue is big enough that there's enough space for people to walk around, get away when they want to and feel secluded, but it's small enough to still have an intimate feel. We had around ~130 guests and it was perfect. HCG provides tables, chairs, even wine barrels. The grounds being very well maintained with a rose garden (if you visit HCG in winter, have no fear, the greenery comes in lush on your big day in the summer), tons of rustic furniture and decor means we didn't have to do much decorating around the area other than table centerpieces, dessert table, bar area, etc. There is a parking lot where guests can leave their cars overnight which is handy. Also we were able to take photographs in the vineyard areas which made for awesome photos with just the two of us, and some areas with our wedding party. Our guests were definitely "wow'd" by the uniqueness and amazing details of HCG. Much thanks to Barbara and Walt. We'll have to come back and visit at some point!

Absolute bliss. We got married at HCG two weeks ago. From the moment we saw the place, we knew that we'd found what we were looking for--an outdoor venue that was not fussy or overly manicured, but possessed all of the beauty of wine country. From the lush flowers to the barn to the amazing oak tree and the sprawling vineyards, the setting was spectacular. Many of our guests were from the East Coast, and were speechless upon arriving at our wedding. They could not get over the splendor of the setting. We used Elsa Vera to coordinate our wedding, and would highly recommend her. Not only does she frequently coordinate weddings at this site, but on the day of the wedding, she shields you from any and all of the behind-the-scenes issues. She is a true pro. Barbara, the owner, was also lovely all along the way, answering our emails promptly and professionally. She even let us store some of our wedding stuff at the barn early in our wedding weekend, which was a huge time saver. Don't be fooled by the HCG website, which does not do the site justice. You must go check out this site in person. It is breathtaking, particularly in the summer.

Where do I start. My husband and I got married here a few weeks ago and people cannot stop telling us what an amazing venue we picked. If you want a blog worthy wedding without having to do much, this is the place to pick. Barbara, the owner, prides herself on constantly adding special touches to the venue and it shows. She is incredibly organized and responsive. She can tell you the weather on the date of the wedding we want for the last five years. You definitely take a small risk when it comes to a rain plan because a lot of the venue cannot be tented. However, if you get a beautiful sunny day like we did, all the fear is worth it. You get to bring you own vendors and purchase your own alcohol. This saves a ton of money. As far as decoration goes, you barely need anything. A few flowers and you are good to go. I highly recommend Healdsburg Country Gardens - and we plan to take Barbara up on her offer and visit the big tree we were married under for our anniversary.

When we decided we wanted to get married in wine country last year, we checked out several different venues including hotels and wineries, but when we stepped foot on the grounds at Healdsburg Country Gardens (HCG), we knew we'd found our spot. The pictures on the website do NOT do it justice, so if you're thinking about getting married, I implore you to check it out in person. When we discovered there was only one date available for the next year, we booked it on the spot and never looked back. Our wedding on July 2nd was more than we could have ever asked for and HCG was a HUGE part of that. The location and grounds are gorgeous and fabulously maintained. If you're hoping to have a charming outdoor wedding amongst grapevines, flowers, and a beautiful 100+ year old barn, then this is your spot. Some of our favorite things about HCG: - The spectacular natural beauty of the place. - The vineyard view from the incredible ceremony spot, which is under a tall and beautiful tree. - The barn! Oh, the barn! - Gorgeous flowers EVERYWHERE. - The fact we were able to bring in all our own vendors. - The sheer number of vendors who have experience with weddings at HCG, making the day run fabulously smoothly. - Barbara and Walt, the owners, whose love and respect for their property shows in not only the meticulous manner with which they maintain everything, but their willingness to share it with you and your guests in order to make your day as beautiful as possible. - Access to the small cottage on the property to get ready for the day and the fact that it's available to you the remainder of the day. My husband and I were able to steal a few precious minutes away here to revel, right after our ceremony. Moments that I will never forget! Hands down the best thing we did for our wedding. Would book this spot again in a nanosecond.

Our wedding was last month and now I can comfortably confess it here on Yelp that we didn't even need to step through the gates at Healdsburg Country Gardens to know this was the place for our wedding. My then fiance, now husband and I tried as best as we could to hide the excitement on our faces, but it was a done deal before we even started talking to Barbara (one of the owners and the main contact at the venue). We were blown away immediately by its unbelievable beauty yet intimate, warm and welcoming feel. It all started with my fixation on wanting a barn at my wedding. I don't know why, but I really wanted a barn, so I was off on Google and bridal websites to see what I could find in the area and then appeared Healdsburg Country Gardens. We made an appointment with Barbara and the rest is wedding history. Barbara is very thorough, organized and helpful. She was always quick to respond to emails, offered suggestions and let me tell you every "t" was crossed and every "i" was dotted. Some may find this off-putting but I didn't. I love organized folks who are top of every detail. That's how I roll too. :o) The venue comes with the use of 150 chairs and tables, along with some additional tables which helps reduce rental costs. My favorite table was the beautiful old barn table where a lot of couples put their cake, and so did we. There are fun stuff too, like a wheel barrow, and potting bench that add to a rustic style wedding, which ours was. Actually, this location is perfect if rustic is what you're going for. And the view of the vineyard? To die for. We were so blessed on our wedding day as the weather was absolutely perfect. This is an outdoor venue so you have to keep it in mind, although I believe some people have had the dinner portion of their wedding in the barn itself. And the barn - absolutely AWESOME! It was built in 1902 and was exactly what I wanted. Well, minus goats, chickens, horses and a couple of bovines. :o) Would I recommend this venue? Yes, yes and yes! Is it pricey? Yes. Is it worth it? Absolutely! We have no regrets and were also told by many of our guests that it was the most beautiful wedding venue they have ever been to. That has to say something right? Love this place.

I wish I could allocate more than 5 stars for this venue. My husband and I had a 120 person wedding on 9/8/2012 at Healdsburg Country Gardens. Throughout the night, friends and family continued to tell us how they had never, ever visited a property so gorgeous. Given my husband was born and raised in Healdsburg, a majority of his friends and family are actually from Wine Country, and they STILL referred to the property as the most breathtaking place they had ever seen. Quite the compliment! Another huge pro of this venue is that it's a "blank canvas" for food and alcohol options. As in YOU choose your own caterer and you can have whatever you want for beverages. If you choose a winery location, it will cost you more in the long run because you just won't have the options. It will be the winery's wine you'll have to serve, you won't be able to have signature cocktails (because they have hard booze in them), you will have to pick from their list of caterers, etc. Oh...and then there is Barbara, the owner of Healdsburg Country Gardens. She is an INCREDIBLE source of knowledge. She is professional, reliable and extremely responsive over email. I don't think I ever waited more than 5 hours to get a response from her over email. And finally, this place is a photographer's DREAM. There are so many amazing places to have photos taken. The vineyards, the barn (that was built in 1902!), the mint green and lavender bridal cottage, the potting/garden shed (my photographer's FAVORITE!) and of course... the amazing spot under the oak tree that overlooks the vineyard.

Breathtakingly beautiful!! Of all of the wine country venues, this tops them all! If you want an intimate space that combines barn chic with vineyard views and romantic gardens then this is the place!! I can't tell you how many guest told us that this was the best wedding venue they had ever seen. The website does not do it justice, go see it yourself- it's amazing!! Another bonus- super close to downtown Healdsburg, making it convenient and easy to get to for you and your guests. I can't say enough about Healdsburg Country Gardens. We will forever remember our wedding day as the best day of our lives in the most perfect of settings!!

If you want the most beautiful wedding you've ever seen (we're talking a landscape for your ceremony straight out of a movie), then this is the place to have it. I was just married there in July and could not have asked for a more perfect setting. Our guests were stunned by the beauty and my husband and I have been talking nonstop about it ever since. The owner, Barbara, is great -- she's on top of everything and is prompt with any responses to questions, forthcoming with honest recommendations on vendors, and happy to assist with your needs - like dropping things off early or picking up items the next day. It's great because you can bring in your own vendors and alcohol -- letting you manage the scale ($$$) of your wedding. Love, love, love -- there aren't enough words to describe this magnificent place!

My sister got married here last weekend... The location was breathtaking! Everything from the flowers...birdcages..cottages...grapevines..the barn...was amazing! The wedding came together and was PERFECT!

Barbara & Walter amazing. The venue is amazing. We got married here in October, and we loved everything. It's a destination wedding for us. Barbara was always accommodating with our travel schedule for site visits. She helped us a lot through the planning. We had all the information we needed - we didn't even need a wedding planner! You can bring your own alcohol, and choose your own vendors.... we liked the flexibility. Best of all, they are fellow Penn Staters!!

HCG was the perfect place for our wedding - absolutely gorgeous, great location (super close to downtown Healdsburg) and 100% "on top of it" - it felt like Barbara had our back through the entire process. (Go with her recommendations for everything - she knows! Trust her, and it will be perfect). Everyone told us it was the most beautiful wedding they had ever been to. I'm so glad we found HCG!

First of all, Barbara (the owner) is the absolute best!! She knows weddings, she understands what works and what doesn't. She has great advice and a very solid list of some suggested vendors. She runs a very professional operation. Now for the venue, it is ABSOLUTEY BEAUTIFUL. Our guests were completely blown away with her beautiful garden and barn and the AWESOME views of the vineyards below. Upon arrival our guests walked through a tunnel of plants and lights, onto a winding path through a garden and ended up under a cork oak tree overlooking a vineyard. The most breathtaking setting for a ceremony. The cocktail hour was under a grape-covered terrace outside the barn... Dinner on a lush lawn (with umbrellas to keep guests out of the sun)... Cake, dancing and the bar in a historial barn... It is all so beautiful. We were really looking for a venue that wasn't too commerical and would allow us to create our vision of a romantic and rustic wine country venue with tons and tons of eye candy. I can't imagine another venue that could have delivered the same results as HCG. Barbara and HCG thank you so much!!

I attended a wedding here about 5 years ago. Was an amazing setting - beautful views looking out at the vines, under a HUGE oak tree. The dancing took place in a barn on the property. Was a perfect set up for a small-mid size wedding. Would highly recommend it to anyone looking.

Well I don't know what to say that hasn't already been said! We got married here on 06/20/10. HCG is a fantastically breath-taking venue. Every guest that we've spoken with has commented on how great the site was. Barbara was so easy to work with and we even received our security deposit and a beautiful card just days after the wedding! Like I said, I don't really have much to add to the other reviews, but I just had to throw in another 5-star rating :)

Ru's surpassed any dream we had of a stunning and perfect venue for our daughter's wedding last weekend. My wife and I got married at Healdsburg Country Gardens in July, and it was nothing short of perfect. We wanted a barn, and came across HCG. As soon as we walked onto the property, we knew this was our spot. It has room for all your guests to wander around, but not get too spread out. We had about 115 people and it was the perfect size. The views are breathtaking, and the landscaping and special decorative items all around the grounds mean that it looks stunning without too much work. Our guests came from all over the world and so many of them commented on the natural beauty of the place. As others have said, being able to choose all your own vendors is a huge plus. If this seems overwhelming, Barbara provides plenty of solid recommendations for vendors in the area. And on that note, Barbara makes planning a wedding at HCG such a breeze, and a pleasure. She was always really quick to respond to any questions I had, although she answers almost anything you could possibly want to know in advance in the welcome packet full of helpful info you get when you book the venue. Barbara thinks about every single detail of planning and executing a wedding, and her care for the grounds is visible in every little corner. It was really lovely working with Barbara and Walt. Their hard work and attention to detail allowed me to completely relax before and during our wedding, knowing everything would be taken care of. I really cannot recommend this place highly enough!!!

When selecting a wedding venue, we knew that most of our guests would be traveling from the east coast to come celebrate with us & we wanted to find a spot that would be special for them as well. HCG was more than we could have asked for. It's a truly magical space that allows you and your guests to escape the normal and experience the day in a fairy tale. In our fairy tale wedding, Leighann was the fairy godmother that made sure everything ran smoothly from behind the scenes. It is very apparent that she is passionate about the property and what she does, and we are very grateful that we got to work with her. She went above and beyond what she needed to without us even needing to ask. Although I had SO many nerves leading up to the big walk, they quickly went away as I walked from the cottage through the beautiful flowers and butterflies and was greeted by friends & family and of course my HUSBAND :). Although the day was HOT, the big oak tree gave us and our guests plenty of shade and there was a wonderful breeze. Dancing in the barn was such a blast! The end time had to be 9 pm due to restrictions (you will find these anywhere in wine country), but Healdsburg Square is just a mile away with lots of great bars to continue the celebration. I did not have my wedding here, but I did attend a gorgeous ceremony at this location. As a guest it was a wonderful venue. Not only did it give me a good excuse to make a trip back out to San Fransisco, but it allowed me to enjoy the natural beauty of wine country. So, in addition to the reviews on here written by brides, I wanted to add my voice that your guests will thank you for giving them the opportunity to spend the day or evening at this beautiful location.

I can't believe it has been over a year since our wedding at HCG- and I am even more shocked that it has taken me this long to sit down to write a review. We were married at Healdsburg Country Gardens in July 2011. Without being too biased, it was the most beautiful wedding location I have ever seen. Barbara keeps the grounds so beautiful and maintained that many of our guests had their breaths taken away upon entry. The luxury and calmness were a perfect match for our wedding dreams (and the same goes for many of our guests!). Alongside the romantic charm of the location, the options are endless. Choose your own vendors, spend on what you want, save on what you do not want. HCG is UNbeatable for a perfect wine country wedding. We can't wait to go back to visit in the years to come! Ru's Farm is absolutely beautiful and I cannot stress enough what a perfect spot it was for our daughter's wedding. The ceremony location is so picturesque overlooking vineyards, the cocktail area is lovely with lots of shade umbrellas, dining spot is enclosed by large shade trees, and then the barn doors slide open and it's time for dancing! Also, this was a July weekend with temperatures predicted to be over 100 degrees - honestly, that was a non-issue! There was so much shade and cool breezes that everyone was very comfortable. We stayed in the VRBO house on the grounds and Leighann went out of her way to accommodate all our requests. She made this absolutely perfect weekend even better!
