Ruscelli's at Mojo Pub and Food Truck

I got delivery from Ruscelli's at Mojo Pub and Food Truck and the pizza was delicious! The toppings were fresh and tasty, and the dessert pretzel was decent and not too sweet. Overall, I was very pleased with the food from this restaurant.

I was on a business trip and it was raining outside, so we didn’t want to go out. Browse on Uber eats and we found this place! At first I didn’t expect much because personally I don’t like pizza but this place changed my mind. Their pizza is crispy with good sauces, the meats and lots of Alfredo. It absolutely got me! Will come back next time when I’m in town.

Birminghamians, if you haven't already discovered it, Ruscelli's at Mojo Pub is a must try! I got the pepperoni pizza strippers and the desert pretzel (which comes with some heavenly buttercream icing).

So happy my coworkers and I found this incredible establishment!!! Great food, professional staff, comfortable atmosphere. This restaurant made my top ten list.

Service has always been great until last night. There was some confusion when the order was placed and taken (on both sides). I explained to my friend where the breakdown in conversation happened. By the time my friend said, 'ok I can see that,' the guy that took our order threw the pizza box as us and walked away with an attitude.

ruscellis has been here thru my darkest and best times. ruscellis is there for me like no other. truly it is a life altering experience diving into the soft pretzels and strippers. those strippers are better than the other kind IMO. best service as well. they make you feel like family.

Placed an order for a pizza salad at 11:28 and did not receive my salad until 11:59. Just for me to arrive home and the salad has jalapeños on it. It wasn’t even made correctly after waiting 30 minutes for lettuce, tomatoes, onions, and cheese. Now I have to get back in my car at 12:38 AM, and go back to get the correct order!! At 1:12am when I sat down to eat my corrected salad to my dismay they gave me 4ranch dressing instead of the creamy dressing that goes with the pizza salad! After I paid for the extra dressing!! I’m not sure if everyone is new but I’ve been coming here for over 2years now and never had this experience. When I told them there was jalapeños on the salad he asked me were they not supposed to be on there? How do you not know what’s on your own menu and then to give me the wrong dressing twice after I came twice. It’s really unacceptable. And I was offered nothing for my troubles! Not even a free salad on my next visit!!!

Best Pizza Ever!! This is the best place in Birmingham. No doubt whatsoever. You can have Russelli's in any mood and you'll drastically approve. I at first had them while at a night out and thought it was just my intoxicated taste buds thinking it was great- but it was as amazing even sober. This place seriously is too good for this world and I'll forever love this place.

Great twist on pizza. Love the crust and calzone! Very friendly service! Will definitely order again!

Looking for a late night place to eat? This is the perfect place. From the pasta to the pizza taco to the pizza strippers and salads you can't go wrong. I have yet to have anything here that I did not enjoy and it's great for lunch the next day. The staff is very friendly and the food is made fresh to order.

Their food is bomb. Staffs great. Ali the cheese kicks ass. Hats off for bueno food and a good atmosphere.

I got very bad experience with pizza was a lot of water in it. I don't know how combs and also so smell bad and it's so disgusting. And it's very dirty and they don't give me no spoon no napkins nothing

This place is awesome. There weren't many late-night options, and the few places that were open were less than ideal... Enter Ruscellis. Great food, great bourbon selection, open late. The staff was super nice and friendly. We were traveling for the music festival but hope to come back here again next time!

Wow!!. I came to Birmingham for the first time for just a one day work related business, and wasn't too sure if I wanted to drive around town when it's just my first time here in town. But I yelped and this place came up, I looked at the menu and knew it would be good, and it didn't disappoint me a bit! I drove to the place and I think he (Ralph?) is his name? maybe he is the manager or the owner of the place, he was so pleasant and he made me feel like I belonged in Birmingham as I noticed around that I was the only Asian chic there at that time . He recommended me to try their calzones and it was bomb!!!. I will definitely come back to Ruscelli's the next time I am in town again. Best place for Italian food with a homey feel to it.

So I had a late night craving and Ruscelli's more than fulfilled it. At 1:30a I was finishing up studying and wanted a vegetarian meal. Ruscelli's vegetarian calzone popped up. The marinara sauce on the side was so flavorful and the dough was cooked to perfection. Every cheesy bite was awesome and it was amazing for my late night craving. My only problem as I saw someone else also mention was the location. I did not realize the restaurant was within a bar and wasn't sure where to go but once inside the bartender pointed me in the right direction. I'd definitely eat here again just make sure you go inside Mojo's and you'll see the ordering area for Ruscelli's!

Wow that was actually amazing!!! The nachos are the best! And adding meat would be a strong move! Love this place! Highly recommend

I found out about Ruscelli's while visiting Beer Hog in Pelham. They had a food cart there and were making paninis and pull-a-parts. My husband and I split a whole double pepperoni panini and a bacon and pepperoni pull-a-part. We were looking for a snack and this filled the bill. If you are looking for more of a meal, skip the cart. Also if you are looking for gourmet Italian this is not what you are looking for. I saw online that they do have a restaurant but I have never been there.

I had the best quesadilla I have ever had last night! I've been in Birmingham for 7 years and never knew about this place! I HIGHLY recommend. The owners are friendly and personable. Very quick service and undeniable taste! Can't wait to go back!

Have you ever had pizza or pasta with absolutely no flavor whatsoever? Well, I have thanks to Ruscelli's Food Truck at Mojo Pub. I had fantastic wings & pizza from Pies & Pints a few days ago and thought I'd try something different since I'm only in town a short while. I ordered a vegetarian pasta, Grace on 7th, a Mama Kayla Supreme and a Brisket Strippers. Nothing, and when I say NOTHING I mean NOTHING, had any flavor or seasoning. Is there a COVID shortage of salt in Birmingham? Bland pasta, a "supreme" pizza with indistinguishable bits and a brisket pizza where the brisket could have been a brown mop scattered atop a crust. Speaking of crust, this is the only saving grace to these "pizzas". I do like a thin, chewy crust. I'm not encouraging you to go to the place mentioned above, but I admonish you to avoid this spot! A brief highlight were the desserts, but I didn't choose a pizza spot for dessert :((

Wow!! Just had a chicken bacon ranch pizza taco at the food truck in Irondale tonight. Absolutely DELICIOUS! Service great. Friendly gentleman in charge. I'll be a repeat customer!

Yummy!! I don't usually pay for Italian because, I mean, why?! But Hubby wanted to go to this place, so....we ordered a small house salad and the Brisket Pizza. Before I get to the food, though, some background. This restaurant is located in the second floor of the Harbert Plaza. Businesspeople in suits crowd. There's a cool Bamawise store downstairs. Also on the second floor are an O'Henry's coffee shop and a Frio Popsicle store. So, that's coffee and dessert. Now for the main course! The salad was delightful! Crisp greens, generous feta, and tomato (I asked for no red onion). Chopped pepperoncini peppers provide a fresh kick. I had the Greek vinaigrette ~ I don't think it was freshly made but it was tasty. The pizza is large for one person. Hubby and I shared it and felt it was plenty (note: I did have the salad!) The brisket is tasty and moist. The pizza is served with fresh tomato that yields a touch of sweet. The overall taste is just warm goodness!! The pizza crust is flavorful and tender. Others in our party ordered the Calzone Florentine and exclaimed that it was tasty and filling. Everyone cleaned their plates! We brought home the Chicken Fettucine Alfredo for darling daughter. She ate every bite of the generous portion. At seventeen, she declares, "it's good!" (Seventeen-year-olds in our house do not wax poetic.) Service is food court, but food arrives quickly and at the right temperature (salad: crispy cool; pizza: hot but without scald burns in your mouth.) Finally, this place is a bargain. It's a cool break from a hot summer day ~ and YUM!

I am starving at 1am waitingnin the ED at UAB. The menu was interesting.. a strangely alluring take of Mexican/pizza fusion on a food truck. I was starved ..!they were open. I ordered via Uber eats and had my food within 20min! Huge plus. I literally devoured the Babbo's Brisket pizza taco! I wish I'd ordered a couple more. I thought for $7 each they might be a bit bigger. Or more stuffed with meat perhaps? Either way, it was definitely a win for my taste buds. Now the second item I ordered was a classic sausage panini. On a glance it wasn't Very appealing to look at, the dough was oily, slightly under cooked and cheery. There was a LOT of cheese. Since the food didn't arrive very warm, the cheese had started to harden up and I bit into a giant chunk of mozzarella cheese. I paid $12 for the large that came with a side of very stale and soggy from the food steam potato chips. I am sad to say this went largely uneaten. I may give this place another shot.. that brisket taco was the savior. So overall taste. 3.5 Appearance 3.0 Price. 3.5 Money value. 2.0. Avg 3.0

Couple things - the pin in Yelp is wrong. Ruscellis's rents kitchen space in Mojo's Bar on 7th, so make sure you're not going to the Regional Bank Square. Also, Ruscelli's DOES accept Uber eats orders until they close at 2 am. If you go to Uber eats, you can see an accurate menu there. The owner was immensely helpful in helping me find food I wasn't allergic to at 1 am after a show I worked. I think he's still working on the business running aspect, but the customer service is like 10/10. The food is damn good too! Filling and satisfying. The use of herbs in the sauce is nice.

I'm an out of towner from Texas. I ordered for the first time and ordering something cause it was that good. I reordered with in the same 10 minutes and the owner delivered the food, shook my hand, thanked me for ordering and told me if I need anything else just order. The food is just as good as the character of this restaurant which is outstanding. Anytime I come back to Bham I'm going straight to this place because that it is service!

This location at least of Ruscelli's is a great place to pass by. First let me say, the customer service was superb! The food....well it's terrible. I paid over $14 for spaghetti, garlic bread and an unsweetened tea. Just terrible. Pasta was over cooked, sauce was ok but not magnificent, garlic bread was gross (like pressed sandwich thin and cold). Never again will I east this.

First, I've never eaten at the restaurant, but I ran across these folks at Ghost Train a couple of months ago. The owner/operator of the food cart is a very nice person, good service, etc. I just wish I liked his pizza sandwiches better. They just weren't very good, didn't seem very fresh and therefore really seemed over-priced for the value received. I'll pass on them in the future.

Authentic Italian, brick oven pizzas and calzones, with much more. Pizzas are personal size, but large enough. The beef brisket pizza has a southern flare, however, I prefer their Ruscelli's calzone with pepperoni, siracha sausage, cheese and tomatoes. Marinara is a little spicy, but certainly not hot, although children wouldn't like it. If I could eat here everyday and keep my girlish figure, I would. Order online at www.mkt.com/ruscellis/ and pick it up, so not to wait 10-15 min. Love at every bite...Delicioso!
