Went there about a week ago. Got the grouper special. Had Emma as our waitress. We all agreed that it was one of the best meals ever. Emma was awesome and the adventure was so awesome we ate there 3 days in a row! Will be back in a few weeks and will be sure to return. Highly recommend!!!!

The food was great. We ate some before I remembered to take pictures. The calamari was cooked perfect. The clam chowder was fantastic. We sat outside and it was very relaxed. Definitely coming back next time were in MB.

We were seated outside and it was a lovely evening. The waitress was knowledgeable about specials and menu. She was bringing out everything very timely. we had appetizers as well. I’m not used to restaurants/servers having food prepared so great and still hot off grill!! Our table never lacked food. It has a nice atmosphere and I like that it’s like climbing to a “Treehouse” . That’s my impression when I first saw Russell’s. I highly recommend Russell’s Seafood Grill” to enjoy a great meal out. Also, as most restaurants are doing, there is a 4% fee to use Charge cards - I recommend paying cash.

Google
Fantastic restaurant!! The daily fresh seafood was the best of any place in Murrells Inlet!!! I have tried them all and this was my favorite!!! I got a fried & grilled combo platter with fresh flounder and shrimp/cheese grits and green beans. Absolutely perfect dish!!!! The staff was friendly and attentive!!! You must try this place. We loved it so much that we have decided to go back next weekend. A must eat while on your family vacation at the beach!!!! By the way, tarter and cocktail sauce was homemade!!! Fabulous place!!! You can always get it to go too!!!

Google
Happy hour margaritas are large for the price! Their complimentary hush puppies are the best I’ve ever had. The “Whole Dang Pot” is phenomenal. So much food. Definitely enough to share between 2-4 people depending how hungry you are. Only complaint is the flies when sitting outdoors in June/July.

Google
Our first time here… and wont be the last. Simple and comfortable restaurant. We had appetizers and soups. Hush puppies are awesome. She crab soup yummy and low country red clam chowder really tasty. Both soups had lots of seafood in them. Coconut shrimp -some of the best I’ve had! And then we ordered grouper bites. Delicious!!!!!!!

Wow! All I can say is Wow! I would never have guessed that this level of culinary experience was available at a place that l ooks like a run of the mill grill and bar. I was wrong.... Our server, Kennedy, was incredibly helpful. In a town filled with servers... she stands above them all. She was friendly and welcoming... swift with refills and had excellent suggestions when we hit a decision roadblock. The food, wow.... the food. It was unbelievable. Everything, and I mean everything was perfect. Lunch service on a Wednesday, and you would have thought it was a Saturday night... they cooks bring their absolutely A game. The raw oysters were so fresh they still smelled of the sea. The appetizers were other worldly good... the hushpuppies... oh my, the hushpuppies... As a southerner, I know my way around a hushpuppy. I've seen a thing or two... I've been there, done that... until I had their hushpuppies. It was a religious experience. It was a world altering event. My taste buds have been forever changed and I will now be forced to mourn the absence of these hushpuppies from my day to day life. What I'm saying is, they are divine. I will absolutely be back here upon all future return trips. I'm now, officially a life long fan. I will dream of those hushpuppies.

Google
Our first time at Russell's and we were not disappointed. Old time seafood restaurant feel and smell is what I first noticed. I had the Sea Scallop basket grilled and the taste was fantastic(ate a couple before the pic)...add on a house salad with ranch and awesome green beans, so tasty. My wife and granddaughter had the creek shrimp basket with fries that were delicious...thick cut fries better than the shoestring and slaw was just great too. Topped it off with the best key lime pie we have ever had. Last our server Kennedy was the best, great personality and just a genuinely nice person. 7-27-25: return visit and the food may have been better than last year. Fish and chips was great, very light breading on cod and the hand cut fries. Granddaughter had the same shrimp basket as last year and my wife had blackened shrimp basket with fries. Shrimp tasted fresh and were decent sized. We sat outside (outside the plastic curtains) and even at 90 degrees we were comfortable with the shade and breeze. The service however was not the best, Richard left us waiting for our 2nd beer at least 15 minutes, a no show quite often.....then forgot our tarter and cocktail sauce and had to be reminded mm. The key lime pie for dessert tasted kinda store bought.

Yelp
6/2/25: Fast & friendly service from Ricky. Enjoyed our meals on the deck with a mild breeze from the inlet. Our entrees were so delicious that we both uncharacteristically finished off our meals: Shrimp Scampi and Seafood Mac & Cheese. We texted photos of our entrees to our friends who had highly recommended this relaxing restaurant. - Laura & Mark VanValkenburg, The Bluffs on the Waterway, Myrtle Beach.

Yelp
6.10.25 Other than the complimentary hush puppies and crab legs, I was less than impressed with the other items that I tried. The hush puppies were on the sweeter side and came with butter. The kids absolutely loved them. I also tried my sister-in-law's crab legs and it was solid and tasted good with butter. I ordered the fish & chips as it is a popular item on the menu, but thought it was just average. I also tried my husband's hamburger steak and great nephew's deviled crab, both of which were just ok. My mother-in-law initially ordered the shrimp and grits, but had to send it back because it was too salty. She replaced it with the hamburger steak and said they overcooked it. She is a picky eater though. She also got a cup of she crab soup and fortunately said it was good, but had a lot of potatoes in it. My brother-in-law got the soup as well, but said it was bland. We had a party of 15 and although I thought the service was slow, others in my party said it wasn't given the size. I guess it's just because I'm an impatient person and want service as quickly as possible. I don't think any of of us were really that impressed that we would return.

Yelp
Russell's was a pleasant surprise! With so many great option in Murrells Inlet it's hard to choose. We decided to try Russell's and it was fantastic. We came back here twice! Everything we had was so fresh. They have great happy house specials on food and drinks. We will definitely be back when we are on vacation.

Yelp
Service and food here are excellent. Love going to Russell's when in town visiting. Their hush puppies are the bomb and the seafood is always fresh. Highly recommend this place for a great seafood meal!

Yelp
What a fabulous meal!. We are locals and had the blackened shrimp and crab legs. Everything was prepared to perfection, promptly served, and so delicious! The hushpuppies are next level, too. Highly recommend this place!

Yelp
We got here for an early dinner and were surprised by the line! Little did we know, reservations were needed. No worries, we only had a 20 wait. The food was absolutely scrumptious. It was served hot, it was well seasoned, and it came quickly. The deck featured heaters to knock the chill off, which created perfect outside dinner venue! Go now!!

Yelp
So far so good!! Found this place on Yelp and decided the diversity of their menu made it a good place to bring my family of 5. First we started with the complimentary hush puppies and sweet butter which were straight out of the fryer hot and crispy. We followed that with calamari and conch fritters for an appetizer. My wife and I liked both apps. The kids were not fans of the conch fritters so my wife and I took care of those. For dinner my 14yo and I are splitting the "The Whole Sea", my wife got shrimp basket w/ fries. Everyone enjoyed their food and were stuffed and we still had leftovers. The only complaint was the AC Unit blowing cold air on my wife and girls. After a hot day at the beach getting baked we were all susceptible to the cold air. Other than that, no wait when we walked in at 6pm.

Mason A.

Yelp
First off let's talk about Emma. Great server and literally my new best friend. She was super nice, pretty, and had amazing humor. Very mindful and kind. Next off is the overall vibe of the place. It was very calming and cozy. The outside seating was perfect and great for summertime. The food is price friendly and amazing. Crab legs are very cheap. The food came out super fast and my Creek Shrimp Basket even came with a lemon slice. The food is very high quality and very tasty. Overall I'd rate my experience here a 10/10. GIVE EMMA A RAISE!!!

Steve T.

Yelp
The waitress was friendly and accommodating, the atmosphere is rustic and quaint. Not sure why some had given this place a 1 star because our food was awesome. The shrimp basket was tasty and plentiful the handcut fries were great Calamari and Grouper bites fresh. I didn't like their Coleslaw as it was vinegar based, just not my thing. We recommend this place and recommend making a reservation. Wait was a little long but bearable.

Yelp
Russell's is a relaxing and casual seafood restaurant with really good service and good food. They have seating inside and outside on the porch. If it's cold, they have a couple of space heaters they can turn on. Their happy hour specials are good: - We had a dozen oysters, and they were really good (8/10). - The hush puppies were really good, especially with the honey butter (8/10) - The calamari was just ok (4/10 overall). It was a little chewy with not much flavor. If it were more crispy, that would have helped. The three sauces were a little different too - not the cocktail sauce we are used to. For dinner we ordered: - The Peel and Eat Shrimp were good (7/10). They were cooked well and tasted fresh. - The Blackened Shrimp Gumbo looked really good, and the flavor was good, but it wasn't really gumbo. It was more of Spicy Shrimp Creole dish instead of gumbo. If it had been listed as creole and served over 2-3 cups of rice, it would have been really good. As a gumbo, it would be a 4/10 for me - too intense, and that's saying a lot for me because I like flavor and spice. As a shrimp creole, I would have given it an 8/10. Overall, I think Russell's is pretty good, but it could be really good with a few tweaks.

Yelp
Hole in the wall. Great service. Wish they had cold peel and eats. Grouper sandwich was good. Red drum on my wife's salad was over cooked. Oysters were ok, Johns bay; only selection.

Yelp
Russell's Seafood Grill is a hidden gem right off the water, and from the moment we walked in, we were greeted with a friendly "hello" and the mouthwatering aroma of fresh fish frying. The staff was amazing, and the food was simply delicious. I have to admit--South Carolina has seafood on lock!
google avatar

Michael K.

Yelp
Grouper and carrots were amazing! Will definitely come back next year when I am in town!

Yelp
Yesterday 5/01/2025, a friend and I went to Russell's seafood grill, we have been before, because it was great. This time not so good. Waiter acted like he would rather be somewhere else. We both ordered the 2 piece combo with Flounder (battered). Mine was done but hers was not. She sent it back. When it came back it look like they took the same piece and floured it and fried it and it was loaded with grease. She boxed it up to take home, and the plate was nothing but grease. Now by the time I got home I was throwing up. RUSSELLS SEAFOOD GRILL NEVER AGAIN.

Ginnie P.

Yelp
We visited because of the YELP pics. They looked amazing! We sat outside. Do not recommend as fans do not keep flies and mosquitos away in June. Our waiter was very good and accommodated our large group. I would go back if I could sit inside. I found my chargrilled oysters a little lacking in the seasoning department.
google avatar

Yelp
Thus is so unassuming and absolutely delicious. The chef has placed so many special treasures on tonight's selection it is hard to decide. HH specials are lovely. Bang bang shrimp are as expected. Dinner Special was crave able. Please come see.

Yelp
Delicious food, great service and the atmosphere is pleasant and cozy. It's nothing fancy but that's what I like while I'm at the beach. I got the combo platter and i've never seen so much food!! Literally the flounder filet was enormous. Next time I'll go for the smaller portion called the Flounder basket. The fried oysters were good, the deviled crab SO fresh and good, perfectly lightly battered fried scallops. My party of 6 really liked this place. Only thing I wasn't crazy about were the glazed carrots. The flavor was good but they needed to be cooked longer. They were still a little hard.

Yelp
Yes yes yes! Finally found a delicious seafood spot where the locals go that doesn't break the bank or is swarming with tourists. This place rocks! The food is delicious, huge portions, competitive prices, awesome service, and a relaxed atmosphere. Our bartender, Cindy, was wonderful! Parking was fine for us but it probably packs out here. I also loved that it was a little out of the way as far as the hustle and bustle of MarshWalk traffic, it's about a mile past all that down the road. My parents and I came for happy hour on Wednesday evening. Happy Hour is 4-6. There's a limited number of options but still good deals, such as 1/2 price wine by the glass, $5 margaritas, $4 house liquor, $4 drafts. There's also Bang Bang Shrimp for $9, $1 raw oysters, calamari for $10, fried pickles for $6 and a few other things. My dad got the Bang Bang Shrimp and he loved it. The portion size was pretty decent for the price. My mom got the Creek Shrimp basket which was perfect! So much shrimp plus 2 sides for $16.99. The creek shrimp is smaller and sweeter than larger shrimp, which some may not like but we love it. The baked potato and slaw were fine, nothing to write home about but they were good enough. The tartar was pretty tasty, and the cocktail sauce was delightful! It has a nice spice to it. Mom also enjoyed her margarita. I ordered Grilled Oysters which aren't part of the happy hour specials but for a dozen they were $22.99 (market price right now, subject to change). I thought that was fair and they were large. So tasty! Just what I wanted. I also tried the Watermelon Crush, eh it was okay. The mix is a little sweet. Try the La Crema wine on their menu, it was great, and about $5 during happy hour. I almost forgot to mention the complimentary hush puppies! Oh man these are AMAZING! I'm not even a big hush puppy fan and could eat these every day. The breading is perfect and crispy, with amazing flavor. Can't wait to come back here. It's definitely part of our restaurant rotation now! Add it to yours, as well, you won't be disappointed!

Yelp
Sat in a hot bar without air conditioning ordered a salad. There were two other couples at the bar complaining about the heat. The salad was listed as $23.00 with shrimp or chicken. They said they would discount the salad cause I ordered it without any meat! They added avocado. Well the avocado was NOT ripe and tasted like rubber. The bacon was chewy and hard I couldn't even eat it. They still charged me $23.00 for a lousy salad! Did I mention? The waitstaff were filling small containers with soupy slaw which was sitting next to me on the BAR! It was gross. When they finished with the soupy slaw they began filling dressing containers. A guy named Russel came into the place claiming he was the owner. Asked if I needed anything I claimed AIR CONDITIONING would be nice! It was 101 degrees outside! It was NOT a Pleasant experience! It only costs like $100 for a window air conditioner! WHY? And why was I charged $22.00 for a SALAD without the meat?

Yelp
Enjoyed a nice dinner at Russell's. Food was decent, menu had a lot of variety and allowed for many different combinations. Service was friendly but a bit slow, seemed like 100% of tasks fell on one server and for a group of ten like we were that was not very fair. There were others around and not that busy, but just not seeming to help the main server much. It was disappointing to see not much teamwork. Inside bar area has a nautical feel and some great memorabilia. I'd like to come back for a drink in there and to browse. For overall dining experience I don't feel the need to return unless I've first explored other options in the area. Be careful eating outside, the ambience is nice but the bugs chewed up our feet and legs.

Mark T.

Yelp
Really good grilled red fish. I eat it wherever I go so I know. Our server, Emma, smiling and courteous. Way to go Russell's.
google avatar

Lanning M.

Yelp
A cozy rustic restaurant, with tremendous seafood. The ambiance is a little dark and intimate. Staff was friendly and attentive, but not overbearing. The portions of food are plentiful, and not overcooked and have just the right amount of spice. Another very important item. The mens room was very clean. However I do have two complaints, the parking lot is neither paved nor spacious. The stairway to the entrance, is long enough, to where it could be difficult, for people with mobility issues.
google avatar

Jessica P.

Yelp
Our party of 14 (including 6 kids under the age of 8) had a delicious, enjoyable dinner here while vacationing this week! Kristen was our server and did a fantastic job. We highly recommend for delicious food, authentic Southern ambiance and great service!
google avatar

Robert P.

Yelp
It's a nice little place but I guess we just ordered the wrong items. Wife had her favorite, the Oysters Rockefeller. Chewy oysters and likely cooked in a microwave not under a broiler. She says it was the worst OR she has ever had. I ordered the Parmesan Crab and Shrimp Dip. Don't worry, no sign of shrimp or crab here just a sauce with lots of salt if you are low on your sodium. We should have ordered the fish. Wine was good at $6/glass. Also beware of a credit card fee added to your bill.

Brittany H.

Yelp
Food was fresh and hot, the service was friendly, and the ambiance was a fisherman's dream. The fish tacos with the hush puppy shell was the best, and the fried shrimp are gonna be tough to beat.
google avatar

Cindy S.

Yelp
We were looking for a relaxed and casual seafood restaurant for a informal date night and decided to try Russell's. We chose to eat at the bar and it was a great decision. Cindy the bartender was super friendly and gave fantastic recommendations. I wasn't super hungry so I decided to have the crab dip as my main course. Hubby got the oyster stew and we shared onion rings and the shrimp and scallop appetizer. Everything was hot, fresh and delicious!! We now have another great Murrell's Inlet stop when we're back in town!!
google avatar

Evan L.

Yelp
I love Russell's! One of my favorite places in the area for seafood. Blackened shrimp is phenomenal! The shrimp and grits are cheesy grits with either blackened, fried, or grilled shrimp. The hush puppies are excellent with the sweet butter. Deviled crab is fantastic!!
google avatar

Richard H.

Yelp
Another non-touristy, local-frequented gem. The service was spot on. The server had a huge smile for us and did a great job describing the dishes. They advertise the best she crab soup in the inlet, and though I haven't tried the other restaurants' versions, I can safely say it's the best she crab soup that I have ever had. And they're not stingy on the she crab, as many other restaurants are. My scallops were just right: cooked all the way through. I know Chef Ransey says they're supposed to be a bit undercooked in the middle, but I disagree. Moist, not rubbery from overcooking, perfection. My wife had deviled crab, which I had warned her against since in most places, there's 95% filler to crab. But her deviled crab was just the opposite. Best either of us have ever had. The home made coleslaw was fresh and tasted good, though I prefer a bit more zing. That's just a minor thing. My wife's side was a corn and vegetable mix. I didn't try it, but it looked good and my wife was impressed. No marsh view, but if you're just hankering for some good, honest seafood cooked to near perfection, here you go.
google avatar

Paula S.

Yelp
Sad when the iced water and the baked potato are the best thing in your meal. The batter was sweet. The waitress said the 'creek' shrimp was popcorn shrimp, but it was NOT. The hushpuppies were ultra sweet!!!! And overall, the food was terribly GREASY!!!
google avatar

Yelp
We tried to go to the Island Provisions place place across the street, but they changed hours for the winter and were closed on Monday. There was a worker there butting up holiday decorations and she recommended we go to Russell's across the street and vouched for the food. I've eaten in Murrells Inlet plenty of times, and wouldn't think to choose Russell's with all the options, but it was a great find. It definitely feels like a locals place and not just because it's the off season. I saw someone get tacos that didn't look like ordinary tacos so I inquired to find out that you can opt to get the tacos in a hushpuppy shell... sold. We got an order of those and the coconut shrimp to share. Then out of the kitchen came some complimentary hushpuppies and honey butter. Now I'm not sure if every other hushpuppy I've had in my life had cooled off and therefore not as fresh tasting, but I can say these were the best plain hushpuppies I've ever had. The coconut shrimp came out right away and were delicious. They were a good size and extra crunchy with the perfect sauce on the side. I think there were 6 in the basket and I almost ordered another round. Then we waited for a while which was odd because the hushpuppies and shrimp came out lightning quick. Good thing we didn't order more food though because when the tacos did come out, they were huge. With the hushpuppy shell it was almost more like shrimp tostadas. They were definitely unique and so good... I would absolutely recommend trying them. Plus for a side we got these fried cheesy mashed potato balls that were top notch as well. I would eat a whole basket of those.
google avatar

Clark G.

Yelp
Hand cut French fries were really good. Onion rings were amazing. Fried seafood basket was tasty and not very greasy.
google avatar

Douglas S.

Yelp
Nice friendly place with quick service. We ordered and split the air and the nachos and a sea basket with fired scallops done perfectly! Prices are very reasonable for the large portions they serve you. Great place to stop in at and would recommend it. From this side of the street, you are only afforded a glimpse of the inlet. But the food was very delicious they other meals they walk by with also looked awesome. Did I mention hush puppies on the table while you wait?! Very eclectic gathering of fishing and sea paraphernalia at Russells hang all around.

Laura D.

Yelp
Since our previous dinner here was superb, we chose to take our out of town guests here for a special dinner. We live here, we should know the best restaurants... right? Unfortunately, we made an embarrassingly poor choice. The wait for our meal was nearly one hour. When it finally arrived, everything was room temperature at best. Shrimp & grits were "leathery" on top from sitting so long. Onion rings were thin, hard and dried out. Sweet potato fries were black and burned. Most unsettling were the raw oysters. The restaurant advertises as a raw bar so one would expect they know how to correctly (and safely) serve them. These were dirty... muddy oysters with so much sand we had to try to clean off before eating them. The person who ate them was concerned she might get sick. Our waitress was very pleasant but often out of sight, likely because she had to care for the patrons seated outside. They seemed short staffed. We reported our displeasure about the long wait and our food being cold. Her manager may already have been aware because she was the one who eventually served our meals to us (and in a less than pleasant manner). There was no offer to make up for our poor meal and long wait In some way. Nothing.

Pamela C.

Yelp
My sister and I visited this restaurant and tried the peel and eat shrimp and hush puppies. The food was phenomenal. The service was friendly and fast. The local atmosphere was cozy and inviting. We will definitely return to try more food items.

Bill S.

Yelp
So good. Lucked into this place! Lunch specials are amazing! Blackened shrimp?? You didn't know you needed that until now.

Barbara E.

Yelp
We searched for a good seafood dinner every night while on vacation in the area. We thought Russell's was the best dinner we had all week. They start out with complimentary hush puppies that were excellent! I'm not a fan of hush puppies but I loved theirs. Light and crispy, cooked to perfection and served with a side of honey butter. My crab cakes and roumalade were very good. My bf had shrimp and scallops that he said were delicious. The decor is a collection of southern memorabilia, felt like a collection of treasured memories. Our waiter was just ok, I didn't catch his name, but his fellow waitresses were bustling around. I think we got the short straw with him. I definitely recommend having dinner at Russell's. I will be back when I'm in the area.
google avatar

Barrie P.

Yelp
My family had the best seafood dinner at Russell's. I would recommend making a reservation because we did not have one but were able to be squeezed in. The staff and food were both 5 stars. Our waitress was very friendly and patient with my son who was not in the best mood. They bring out delicious hush puppies when you are seated. They were sweet and crisp. We were there during happy hour so we ordered oysters on the half shell and calamari. Both were excellent. I had clam pasta for my entree. The clams were delicious and I enjoyed the homemade blue cheese dressing on my salad. I got to taste what my family had ordered as well. The she-crab soup and oyster stew were amazing. I would also recommend the crab cakes. The desserts sounded good but we were stuffed.
google avatar

Ron P.

Yelp
Nice local place for lunch or dinner. Gets really crowded in the summer but off season is a lot easier to get a table or seat at the bar. Menu is full of seafood and burgers. Grilled oysters are on the menu too. Full bar
google avatar

William F.

Yelp
Food preparation and quantity was excellent. My wife and I stopped by on our way to Myrtle Beach. Read reviews and decided to try it. We were not disappointed. We will be going back there asap.
google avatar

Ashley B.

Yelp
This was my first time at Russell's after visiting Murrells Inlet for many years. It holds its own among the numerous restaurants in Murrells Inlet. I'm still thinking about how delicious the baked scallop special was the next day. Hush puppies with honey butter were complimentary and so good. Typical beach prices. Great spot!
google avatar

Tara A.

Yelp
Food and service were very good. Nice place for a nice dinner. Cheeseburgers were delicious.
google avatar

Ina R.

Yelp
My sister and I went to Murrells Inlet for dinner so we stopped at Russel's we ate outside on the large veranda where live oaks shaded the area. Even though we were not on the waters edge we had a lovely view of the inlet. They had 2 IPAs on tap so I tried the Pawley Island brew; very cold and refreshing. I had the special crab stuffed grouper and my sister had the blackened flounder and fried oysters. Bothe we're served with a baked potato and coleslaw. The meal was hot and delicious. Service was great and being outside was wonderful. We would recommend stopping by and trying this restaurant conveniently located in Murrells Inlet.

Yelp
We never leave Myrtle Beach without a stop at Russell's in Murrell's Inlet. That's because we have never had a bad experience there. Without exception, the food (can only speak about the seafood since that is all we ever order,) is freshly made and prepared to perfection. The lunch menu, virtually a scaled down version of the dinner menu, is beyond reasonable, given the generous portions. Good beer on tap as well - what more could anyone want?
google avatar

Diane H.

Yelp
This casual seafood restaurant is amazing! We went back for a second dinner after having such delicious food the first night. The bourbon-glazed salmon and the grilled grouper were cooked perfectly. Flaky and moist. The hush puppies they bring out first are the best I've ever had. The staff is super friendly and the food did not take long to come out. Happy hour prices are good for beer and wine. (That's what we had.) Both times we went close to 5 pm because it's not a big place, and sure enough, as 5:30 rolled around, it started getting very busy. The prices are way better than some of the other seafood restaurants in the same area (I vetted them all.) The two meals we had were excellent, and we will be coming back. I also enjoyed the laid-back atmosphere and nautical decor.

Yelp
I think I'll have to try this again. We are there in October and it was extremely busy - which could explain lack of attention. The food was not bad, but similar to other places in the inlet. We will give it another try before making a final decision on whether this will be on our "go to" list.

Yelp
Yelp would not accept a review with zero stars, but this rating is ZERO STARS. Zero stars. Dinner on April 15, 2024. Seated over 15 minutes before server even came, and that was after I complained to the hostess. Never brought complimentary hush puppies. Dinner arrived 30 minutes after seating with wrong sides, no salt or pepper shakers available. Correct sides arrived after we finished the entrees. Asked for manager, and was told he was cooking in the kitchen and never came by. This had been a restaurant we frequented as locals but will never go back. Advice: go somewhere else.

Yelp
Great food this evening. Cool old house that reminds you of a fishing cabin. Great view that we had of the tidal creeks. Very nice service folks.

Yelp
Service was good but food was terrible.. nothing seem to be fresh.. everything was over cooked and over salted especially for a $100+ meal

Yelp
Stopped today 2/21/2023 for lunch. Looking for some seafood at a reasonable price. Russell's fit the bill. I had an oyster basket with hand cut fries and slaw and my wife had the shrimp basket with hand cut fries and slaw. The hushpuppies came out to the table just cooked and we're delicious. The shrimp and oysters were outstanding. We highly recommend this place for good seafood when in Murrells Inlet.
