Is this Phnom Penh’s coolest neighbourhood? - SilverKris

"A heady, colourful local bazaar in a fast-developing residential suburb south of the capital, this popular tourist haunt offers myriad scenes of Khmer life — from street-food sellers hawking wok-fried dishes to pyjama-clad grandmothers practising tai chi — making it a lively spot for snacks, local crafts and people-watching." - Claire Knox

Nice people, but many products are expired (for example, I saw the jam [вишнёвое варенье], cookies [сахарное печенье] had been expired for months!). I also once got sick from some of these products. I'm not coming back there! --- Answer to the response from the owner: Yes, I know how to distinguish when a product is expired or not, but thank you for the explanation anyway! And yes, the seller gave me the cookies that he had opened already, and I took them to be polite, because he was a very cordial man. I threw them afterwards, of course, I didn't eat them.

Google
Good store for European food. Been going to this store throughout 3 different ownerships. It remains consistent and a good store.

Tina was very nice and helpful. The fresh meat pies are great. I also got meat, cheese, pierogi, tea, rye bread. I am going to buy a dozen of the meat pies to put in the freezer the next time I'm here.

Google
What a super store !!! Notably , this store offers extensive variety of Russian and other Eastern European countries’ staples ! I could spend a l o n g time in there just “window shopping” deciding what to try the next times I visit! In addition, there are fun treats that , yes , even as an adult , enjoy on weekend or special occasion— the Russian and Lithuanian ice crème ! The gentleman and others working are always friendly , and helpful assisting in locating items and offering suggestions when I request . Thank you as always, Russia 🇷🇺 Home ~~Always a pleasure to do business/ patronize this family -owned business!

Google
Wow. Amazing store. I got all my Russian food for my beautiful Russian wife. The owner Boris is so nice. He's like a 2nd dad to me! Lots of products and prices were great! They just added a nice wine and beer (alcohol section). I highly recommend Russian Home!

Google
Love the store. Such a great assortment of products! Love the friendliness of their owners too. They help MANY people in any way they can. It deserves respect and admiration. They also have one more store on 161 in the different part of town! Come visit then there too! The store is called ROMASHKA and their address is….2400 w Dublin-Granville road Columbus oh 43235! It’s a small and cute store!

Google
I love this place! They have a huge selection of delicious Eastern European foods. I've taken Russian language lessons with one of the owners for several years, and have made great progress. Every time I visit, everyone is very friendly and helpful.

Yelp
Wow, just wow! So I was in the area eating lunch at a nearby restaurant and saw the sign for this shop. At first. I thought it was a furniture store or something but google quickly told me it was a grocery spot. I turned around and went in and was so glad I did. It's tough finding Eastern European stuff in Columbus but they had everything. Ice cream with Cyrillic writing. Kasha, kvass, dried fish, pickled mushrooms. Preserves from Moldova, honey from Ukraine, candy from Poland, even fizzy lemonade drinks from Georgia! The lady didn't speak the best English but she was very kind and helpful. I was impressed and so overwhelmed with choice, so I decided to buy an armful and promise to come back later with my Polish husband who is also excited to stop in.

Yelp
We needed to go to the UPS store. I had always wanted to stop into this store since my friend's Russian husband raved about it. It's way too hot today with too many errands to buy today. But they have all this neat food which heretofore i only saw in San Francisco, Pittsburgh and Washington DC. Prices for what I want, the various frozen pelmini, weren't too high. I am used to Pittsburgh pierogies. These are smaller. There is so much stuff crammed into this store, stuff that is simply not available elsewhere. You want bread, they have it. And jars and jars of stuff that looked yummy. I was delighted that such a small store had so many good things. I definitely will return.

Yelp
These people are great. Small shop but they want to help you. English is so-so. Try some of their meats and cheeses, and fish too. So few grocers have this home-like feel

Yelp
Nothing is worse than getting expired food at a grocery store. Everything was always so fresh with the previous owner, but since change of ownership, the goods on the shelves have been degrading. We shopped there for New Years celebration only to find upon return home that cooking oil was expired a month ago, chocolate in the candy was old, one of the meats tasted like its at the end of its life also, flour only has 2 month until expiration...Pay attention to the expiration labels if shopping there these days!

Yelp
This place is on the smallish side. However, they do a good job of offering some of the staples that an ex-pat or curious local might be happy to see. They have a good selection of Russian teas and coffees. The deli section has a number of meats and "salads" that you can try. The cakes and pastries are intriguing and well represented. There is also a large selection of candy and cookies. I go for one reason: pierogies! They have a great selection of fresh and frozen pierogi. It's worth a visit for that alone.

Yelp
I do not recommend going to this Russian store!!! I came in only needing a couple of items. I had a lot of things on my mind and was planning to be in and out. I ask the owner of this store which he was behind the cashier a question in Russian, he stops what he's doing and humiliates me why I was the one that did not greet him as I walked in and then said that there's something wrong with me and my generation. First off, I have worked in customer service for years, the employer of the company is supposed to great the customer, ESPECIALLY if he is the owner! Yes, I should've greeted him as I walked in, my mistake but if I didn't, it does not mean you have to put a customer down and embarrass them in public. I've had amazing experiences at other Russian stores in Columbus such as; Diana Deli and Euro Delicatessen.

Yelp
Stopped in with a friend to look around, staff was very helpful and patient! They were even nice enough to reccomend us products to try. I will definitely be returning!

Yelp
As a California native, I wasn't expecting much from this store compared to places I've gone in the Bay Area. To my surprise, the variety of stuff here as well as the prices are much better than I expected. The owner was friendly and accommodating while I was exploring and let me try samples of things I hadn't had before. Large variety of candy that I'd been missing and is cheaper than anywhere else, including online. Great place! Try the gluten free rye bread!

Yelp
Love it here. Nice prices and great food. Also nice people. It's a small family owned store and feels like it.

Yelp
Great place to give a try to something new. They have a lot of Europian and Russian food. Famous Russian caviar, bolognia, cottage cheese, jams, cakes and cookies, tonns of various candies, and sooo much more! Mmmm... Love it!
