After nearly 10 years since my last visit, I decided to stop by Rustic at Francis Ford Coppola Winery for an early dinner during a road trip. Unfortunately, while the food was just as delicious as I remembered, the overall experience left much to be desired. The Good – The Food: - Marinara Pizza: Absolutely fantastic, just as I remembered. The plum, juicy tomatoes were the star of the dish. - Daily Specials: We ordered the meatballs with pasta and the salmon, both of which were flavorful and cooked to perfection. Zero complaints on food quality—it was a solid 5/5 in this regard. The Not-So-Good – Cleanliness and Service: Upon being seated, I immediately noticed food debris scattered on the floor around our booth. It’s hard to enjoy the ambiance of a winery restaurant with a lack of basic cleanliness. Service, unfortunately, was the biggest letdown. Our waiter seemed disengaged and, quite frankly, unprofessional. While it’s understandable that wineries often have a relaxed vibe, I found her inattentiveness unacceptable. She would walk by, speak loudly without actually engaging or listening, and then leave mid-conversation. It felt as though she wasn’t fully present, which really detracted from the dining experience. Final Thoughts: While the food remains a highlight, Rustic seems to have slipped in terms of management, cleanliness, and service. The lack of attentiveness and professionalism was disappointing, and the absence of a visible manager to address these issues makes me question the oversight of the restaurant. Sadly, this visit didn’t live up to the memories I had of Rustic from years ago. While I’m grateful for the great food, I’m not sure I’ll be returning anytime soon—if at all. Rating Breakdown: - Food: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4/5 - Service: ⭐ 1/5 - Cleanliness/Ambiance: ⭐⭐ 2/5 Here’s hoping the team steps up to bring this place back to its former glory.

Reservation is recommended. The food was pretty good and the service as well. Nice area and interior.

We went here for dinner and it was raining but I wish we could have had time to walk around the property. It's so pretty with the large staircase from the parking up to the restaurant Rustic. There is an elevator too. You enter the memorabilia room before getting to the restaurant. So many things to see but we were there right before they closed that area so we didn't have time to walk around. Will have to do that next time. Dinner was delicious and the waitress was superb! She was very attentive and took care of our party well. Didn't blink an eye when we requested separate checks too. Her service made the evening even more special. Will recommend the seafood linguine pasta, salt crust branzino, wild mushroom pizza, Cesar salad, and burrata and bread appetizer.

Google
Since you enter the restaurant you feel the welcome. The staff is friendly and the service outstanding. We order a Caesar salad that was perfectly prepare and so fresh. The pizzas thing and crunchy with the right amount of cheese. My husband order the Sofia pizza and I order one with caramelice onions that was sensational. My son’s pastas was very good too but the final surprise was the desert. The olive oil cake. OMG so good. I am a picky eater and this was perfection from Start to end.

I loved the lunch. We were a party of 7 for lunch on a Saturday afternoon. Our waiter was fantastic. He recommended foods for us to share, appetizers to share and desserts. We ordered 5 main courses among the 7 of us. We had plenty of appetizers to share. Plenty of food for sure. It was served family style. One dish was better than the other. Now I’m going back with friends. It was a fantastic experience. Plus eating on the large patio and seeing the mountains and the vineyards was spectacular.

Google
I cannot say enough about Rustic! The personal service, quality of food, atmosphere, and over all experience is "" world class""! The grounds are exquisite! The interior tasting room and restaurant are inviting to all who enter. This is the experience of a life time. I'm privileged to live close enough to frequent the comfort and luxury often. My hope is that Many others do as well. This is truly a gorgeous place that knows how to take care of other.

Google
Enjoyed a very nice wine tasting experience with family. We ate at the restaurant as well, different varieties of pastas and pizzas. Outside seating is the best experience. Do the tasting, buy your wine and enjoy at your table, with beautiful views.

Dinner was good. Nothing really special about food but being in the Winery made it nice. Lovely grounds and Coppola memorabilia. But what made our evening so fun was the cute, delightful bartender. She was attentive and full of suggestions and made delicious drinks. She made our time there very special.

Yelp
Loved my visit to Francis Coppola Winery! Took the winery tour, definitely worth the $10 a person! Was very cool to see the inside of the winery operations as well as all the movie memorabilia. Our tour guide was great and answered all our questions. The grounds are gorgeous! I want to come back during the summer season to see the pool in action and play some bocce! Can't wait to return and try the cute looking restaurant as we were told the food is very good.

Yelp
My friend and I came for a 3pm tour and an early dinner. This was on a Friday. The tour was informative and interesting, but lacked action. We had hoped to see people in the production areas putting labels on bottles or corking them, etc. In the restaurant, we ordered a couple of drinks, but mine they wouldn't (or couldn't) make. I was encouraged to go to the pool- lounge bar, order it and return. When I came back to the table, Mai Tai in hand, we proceeded. The drink thing was the only odd part of our visit, and not worth knocking them down a whole star. We both ordered the wild salmon, which was seared and seasoned to perfection and accompanied by fresh organic vegetables from the garden below, which we explored afterwards. The weather was fantastic and the people watching was fun too! You can't go wrong with this place--it's absolutely incredible; filled with architectural and environmental beauty. Parking is fairly abundant, though shaded spots are few.

Michelle L.

Yelp
Very good Italian food. The clam linguine was perfect, they peeled the cherry tomato skin and covered by light buttery sauce in my salmon dish, just simply love it. After the lunch we did a little tour in the winery. How lovely! Will be back soon.

Patrick D.

Yelp
Wow this is a Hollywood style winery full of attractions and with Omni presence of Francis Coppola a great master of the big screen. From Apocalypse now, Count Dracula to the God Father; we have all been inspired and mesmerized by his cinematographic genius. Now to the winery you have a bistro like tavern, a restaurant, several shops and of course a cool wine tasting spot with some delicious wines. In 1975, with the profits from The Godfather series, Coppola purchased Niebaum Mansion in Rutherford, California, along with 100 acres of premium Napa vineyards. Niebaum was once part of Inglenook, which some consider the most beautiful wine estate in the world.

Jessica E.

Yelp
Great place for wine tasting. It is a far drive. We got invited by our friends who are wine club members. My favorite wine is the Archimedes. They have a restaurant here, called Rustic...very good food. Would come here again!

Cathy G.

Yelp
We lost our son on thanksgiving night this year and we decided to take a break from taking care of his estate, so we decided to visit. Ben and Steve truly made our family feel better for that moment. They took care of us and we left in high spirits. These two guys are true gems.

Aleena H.

Yelp
Jaw dropping architecture inside and out, many things associated with the movies made by Francis Ford. I had food inside at a smaller bar between main restaurant and the pool where you can also eat. Delicious food and drinks! Many different gift shops inside, amazing pool and cabanas outside. Great service all around! Best winery to go to hands down!

Tiana D.

Yelp
This is the perfect place to go for film and wine lovers! I am very grateful I had the experience of being here. I made reservations for a tasting and lunch about a month in advance. It would have been nice to have the option of making the tasting reservation online, but calling was still extremely easy. I believe I called and left a message and my call was returned the next day. Finding the winery is easy (provided you don't lose reception on the way) and there is plenty of parking! The grounds are stunning and the building is beautiful! Being a quasi-cinephile, I really appreciated seeing the awards, costumes, and film memorabilia. Very cool being able to sip wine among film history. We were seated for our tasting indoors as it was too rainy for the terrace. Deb was wonderful as she walked us through the reserve wines. We ended up joining the wine family and our tasting was free! We also got an additional taste of the Archimedes - a lovely touch. I would love to come back in the future when the weather is a little nicer and maybe catch a game of bocce!

BIll I.

Yelp
Beautiful grounds! Even on a rainy day. Our tasting guide was knowledgeable and very personable!!

Tank U.

Yelp
Amazing experience, I recommend it to anyone who loves wine and little bit of history and great food.

Tracy C.

Yelp
Grounds were beautiful. The museum features memorabilia from all of the movies and above all staff were really friendly, especially Brynn who helped us out in the gift shop!! And Ariana the receptionist made us feel welcome!!

Valerie B.

Yelp
All my life living up here (vallejo to ukiah), I've never come to visit this place. Now that I have, I will come back and check out the swim area. Great to have a cool down under the hot sun while drinking wine. But this place is great. Great food, service by Jorge was very good, and the atmosphere was just beautiful. Loved seeing all the movie props and the rest of this place.

Julie B.

Yelp
Great place to bring visitors from out of town. The museum style areas have great memorabilia of the movies he did. We had the Reserve wine tasting in the upstairs seating area (5 wines plus a comp glass of bubbles for $40/pers) The service was fantastic, the lady was doing everything from hostess to server and explaining all the wines . You can buy here and leave with your bottles or they ship for over $99. The estate is very clean and has plenty of parking space. In the summer you can seat outside by the pool and play Bocce.

Katherine S.

Yelp
The best. If you love movies and wine, what more could you ask for? This place has it all. 1. There's a pool onsite. If you rent a cabine (which is spendy, but worth it at least once), you have a space to comfortably change, shower and store your things safely. It's very small but was nice to not have to carry everything around for a full day at the winery. 2. They have a full bar in addition to their great selection of wines. They even have fun, unique cocktails. Great for a group. 3. They have a mini museum that's really well-organized filled with goodies from Coppola films. Super fun to see and makes it more than "just a winery" experience. 4. The service is great - whether in person or chatting with their staff over the phone/email. We tried a wine tasting (one of which is complimentary if you're part of the wine family) and the person helping us was so informative and kind. 5. They have a wonderful restaurant with delicious food (review for that separately - check out Rustic). I cant recommend this place enough! It's a must-stop every visit to this part of California.

Sophia N.

Yelp
The ultimate visitor's paradise! Coppola wine is always a solid choice. You can never go wrong because they are all tasty, but it's also good for friends who are not really wine drinkers too. You can visit for all the Godfather movie props, the Italian food (pizzas were always my favorite), they even have a bar that offers beer, and then there's also the pool for the summer time! This makes wine tasting while watching the kids a bit easier. You can order by the pool too! If you book the cabine, you're assured reserved lounge chairs for 4 and a little sparkling wine to start the day on a good note. The location is gorgeous. It overlooks the vineyard if you eat in the restaurant and ask for an outdoor table. The service is always top notch too. My sister calls it the wine tasting experience you dream of when you think of wine country.

Yelp
I absolutely love the Francis Ford Coppola winery. I have been to the one located in the general Napa area, and this was my first time at this new location in Healdsburg. Yes, if you're visiting Napa, do you want to go to the original location unless you're looking to drive an hour and a half to this newer location. Is it worth a drive?! Hell yes it is! This is a great location for a date ( we enjoyed it), hanging with friends, etc. If you love the nostalgia of old Hollywood, coupled with the great works of Francis Ford Coppola ( nostalgia), you will absolutely adore this place as much as I do. It's very reminiscent of Hearst Castle in many ways, and the pool and cabanas are a must see. Everything about the property is breathtaking. You're free to wander about and shop in the store located downstairs, or if you've made reservations for one of their winetasting/dining areas, you will love everything about the experience. While you don't need reservations for the general bar area, it's small and you don't have the same experience , as you would the other locations. They offer every wine that they produce for tastings, and many of them are available for purchase in the store. The store also carries a couple of unique wines that are only available at the property. The wine varieties are all wonderful, and if you're looking for a place to enjoying either a glass, or a flight, this is that place! There is an additional restaurant that is on site, but reservations are currently required. Tastings are reasonably priced, and an experience to be enjoyed. You will not feel rushed or hurried out. Go enjoy! Tell them I sent you ;-)

Etienne H.

Yelp
Once again, they shattered the bar and delivered exceptional service and food. The dining experience and views are spectacular and highly recommend a sunset dinner overlooking the vineyard. If you happen to celebrate a milestone, let the maître d' know ahead of time and they will exceed your expectations. Charging available for those that have EVs

Lisett C.

Yelp
The Francis Ford Coppola Winery in Sonoma offers a truly cinematic wine experience, blending stunning views with exceptional wine. The grounds are beautifully maintained, featuring a lavish tasting room and a charming pool area that adds a touch of luxury to the visit. The wines themselves are superb, with a selection that highlights both classic and innovative styles. The staff is knowledgeable and welcoming, making every visit feel special and personalized. I took my family that was visiting from Mexico, and they absolutely LOVED it! it is family friendly! we took 2 teenagers and they were entertained by the movie facts! Adults purchased wine by the glass! we loved it!

Yelp
Arrived at Noon. We're able to get a terrace tasting with out reservations. It was very nice. I with they offered a cheese platter to eat during the tasting. It was a long drive and we were hungry. The terrace is beautiful a perfect setting for a tasting. At the beginning of the tasting I made a lunch reservation in an hr. Only inside was available. It was still very nice. The setting is festive and elegant. Decorated with olive oil bottles. We had the lasagna and it was phenomenal. I'd order it again. I also had the sausage sandwich. Tasty but a little spicy. There is a lot of memorabilia up and down stairs. If you love the godfather you can get a autographed binder of script, notes, pictures, ect. For $500. What a great souvenir. We didn't see a tour option and forgot to ask. I recommend coming here and try the terrace tasting for the ambiance. They have a walk up tasting inside.

Sharon B.

Yelp
Wow!!! The view was stunning, and our server Nathan was awesome. Since we are wine members, they treated us with a complementary shot glass of corn purée topped with fresh basil pesto from their garden. My husband ordered the sausage which he said was very good. I ordered the pork tenderloin which was cooked to perfection. It was topped by some type of a peach sauce, which was mild and sweet. The pork was very tender and tasty. The mashed potatoes were good and the grilled zucchini was great as well. I should mention that they were very sensitive and accommodating to my gluten-free request. I don't remember what type of wine my husband had, but he enjoyed it with his meal. I had a refreshing Prosecco before we started our meal.

Michael R.

Yelp
This is a beautiful place with great views, and quite the start to a recent trip to wine country. My table was seated on the patio and set the scene for a great late lunch. The sausage and pea pizza was really good and the Reserve Pinot Noir was as well. Walking the museum to see the namesake's memorable films and accomplishments is worthwhile as well.

Ellen H.

Yelp
I had been wanting to go to this winery for several years and somehow never made it. So happy I did this time around! This winery has everything you could ask for. The restaurant has a pleasant atmosphere and a menu full of comfort food. We ordered the margarita pizza and the pasta puttanesca and both were delicious and satisfying. Their house bread was somewhat confusing. It was tiny and looked like a mini donut. I was hoping to get some actual baguette or ciabatta to go with my pasta so I could soak up all the delicious sauce but had to settle for awkwardly dipping the mini donut. Their wines are high quality and my goodness there are so many of them. I drank a Zinfandel (Director's Cut) with the pasta which was a great pairing. We did the reserve wine tasting after. While I love red wine and was satisfied either way, I was surprised by how little white (1) versus red (3) wines were being offered in this tasting. The Prosecco at the beginning was actually our favorite and it was easy to take a few bottles home. The real highlight though was Coppola's director memorabilia. We were blown away by the awards showcased. This was my first time actually seeing an Oscar (well technically five). You can not get more iconic movies than the Godfather so it felt incredibly special to be able to see the Oscars for these. There was also a car on display that Coppola designed, so cool. The estate comes with a pool area that I know you can rent cabanas for in the warmer times of the year. I've debated in the past making some reservations for it but have to admit that actually seeing it now took away some if its appeal. It looked nicer online somehow. It might have been because it was off season though.

Joe M.

Yelp
We loved this place so much we joined the club. The grounds are so nice. They were having a wine sell next door so we bought a case. We did the tasting upstairs. lots of cool things to see. The wine is really good. Im a cab guy. Make sure you have a reservation.

Tina O.

Yelp
I can't believe this is my first review as I have been here numerous times in the last several years - to the winery and Rustic, the restaurant. This is always a fun place to come and to bring out of town guests to see all the Coppola movie memorbilia. Went there twice last week, once for lunch and their wonderful views. The other time for Bubbles and Oysters - yum. Highly recommended.

Hope D.

Yelp
An absolutely gorgeous estate. The staff are so kind and helpful. I would recommend having lunch of dinner at Rustic, it was phenomenal.

Monica S.

Yelp
The wine here is fine and there's a bunch of movie paraphernalia around. It's not a chic, intimate winery experience by any means - more of a Disneyland feel - but there are excellent amenities (and views!) and that's what will bring me back. We were glamping nearby in a large group with kiddos, and decided to bring the squad here for some grown up fun while the kiddos enjoyed the kid-centered play areas (play fort with books to read, bocce ball, bean bag toss, etc). We didn't know about the pool in advance, but we would definitely return for that. The folks running this place are friendly and all the available amenities are well thought out. A good place to take family and groups for an outing that includes wine.

Nathan D.

Yelp
Despite the many people who have made mistakes in life and brought their offsprings here, it is overall a great place. Awesome place for a day trip to the pool and wine taste. If you don't mind children, it's enjoyable. Wine taste prior to make it tolerable. The waiters are great, super attentive.

Doug D.

Yelp
A great destination for movie buffs. Didn't try any wine because of other reviews reporting availability in local grocery stores. Didn't try the restaurant either because of low reviews but instead dined in Geyserville. Beautiful buildings and grounds thiugh.

Francisco M.

Yelp
This was my first time visiting and will definitely come back to try some of their food. This time we only decided to buy a wine glass and peruse the premises. We spent about an hour walking around looking at all the movie memorabilia that Mr Coppola has acquired through out his career. It's a great ambiance for any movie lover. And all it's employees make it more enjoyable with the great service they provide

Cassondra C.

Yelp
Beautiful winery! Yummy wines! Super fun to walk around and look at all the movie props and such. Fun that you can rent a spot at the pool. If I were to do it again, I wouldn't pay for a $35 sampling (of 4 wines ) and would instead just buy a glass of wine. But, we had a nice time!

Ki R.

Yelp
Great views and wines, fantastic property for lunch, swimming, dining, special events, and wine tasting. We came here with some friends, one who lives in Petaluma. First time here, and I was very impressed with the location and property. It is absolutely beautiful and charming, and we were here on a sunny Thursday early afternoon. We ate at Rustic and had lunch on the terrace, then toured the two story film memorabilia rooms, joined the wine club, and finished it with a complimentary wine flight tasting. The service is great and the staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. We will come back for sure...

Brunella C.

Yelp
Sadly, we arrived 30min before closing so we couldn't have a tasting. We had a glass of wine though and could visit the Movie Gallery. It was pretty exciting to see the memorabilia. The sommelier was very friendly, I can't remember her name. I told her what wines do I like and her recommendation was on point. I loved it so much I bought a bottle. The restrooms are big and clean. They have a nice selection of wines and gifts. If you're hungry, you can eat at Rustic, the restaurant. Definitely something to try next time. We felt very welcome there. Can't wait to comeback!

Josh V.

Yelp
Some of the wine was awesome, some was mediocre. Tasting really seemed to be pretty high pressure on joining the wine-family. We joined because we planned on coming back for dinner the next night and were told we'd get a tasting for free as well as getting our original tasting comp'd. We basically only joined because the second tasting and discount would cover the cost of the first shipment. We were super annoyed when we arrived an hour early for our dinner reservation and the tasting area was no longer doing pours and there was NO member benefit at the bar. We felt a little swindled, but the winery is beautiful and the movie stuff is super cool. Probably wouldn't go back, but don't regret going at all.

Sheila C.

Yelp
The food was delicious I like the outdoor area I saw a swimming pool area but I didn't go in. The memorabilia was good worth the trip

Ron K.

Yelp
I spent $550 on food and drinks for 5. 4 of us could not finish our meals; they were in a word: terrible. The Zinfandel was good; it always is. Service was OK, but not much better than In-And-Out. Smiles but not better than 3-star; training would help. Ambiance is always great. Sadly, following 12 years of dining at Coppola we will only go there when someone else pays.

malou s.

Yelp
this place is beautiful, the architecture and the decor inside is amazing. they have a nice pool but it was closed when we went, since we went around 5:30 for live music. we did drive an hour in hopes to use it, assuming it was open and it was more convenient to bring kids. we sat outside and got cheese and sausage pizza, which was pretty good. i drank a arnold palmer, which i disliked. our server was very sweet (thank you avery), and the musician was awesome. loved my experience here.

Susan W.

Yelp
Such a positive experience I actually joined the wine club. Great setting friendly workers great restaurant great wine. What's not to love?

Jennifer C.

Yelp
Well, I went to lunch yesterday with a group of girlfriends and I was somewhat disappointed in my lunch. I had a salad with chicken on it and the chicken was probably the driest chicken I've ever had and it's spoiled the salad. Most of the people at the table also got a salad with chicken on it and there was the same. I have been to this restaurant before and have had pretty much the same experience. The ambience is gorgeous and the service is good. Hopefully it was just an off day for the chef.

Derek R.

Yelp
Was visiting the area and a local recommended this winery. Glad they did. We didn't have a reservation but they have walk ins at the bar and we were helped right away. With yelp check in you get a two for one tasting which is nice. The lady who served us was super nice and friendly and the wines were terrific. The winery itself is part museum part resort. It's amazing. Been to many wineries in Napa Sonoma and Paso Robles and this one is probably the nicest. Highly recommend for a tasting and or meal.

Fishe S.

Yelp
My wife and I spent the evening here on Saturday night. We love it here! The ambiance is stunning! The pool side comfy lounge chairs! The Pool side bar and service. The grounds are Immaculate! Billy, Our Bartender was Inviting, Courteous and very approachable, we started with this gentleman for two glasses of Directors Cut Cabernet Sauvignon and stuck with it all night! Kalee, please forgive if name is incorrect, sold us some wines and a warm Coppola zipper hoody as it was blustery in the evening. Thank you for your kind hospitality, Miss. Renee, our waiter, was informative and open, kind and attentive, we truly enjoyed our Carpaccio and Burrata appetizers! We joined the club and hope to see you all again, very soon!!

Michelle B.

Yelp
This was a very beautiful establishment. This was my first time visiting and I was in such awe. I honestly didn't know Francis Coppola was a well respected director/producer until I saw all the movie memorabilia around the tasting room. There is not only tasting, there is a restaurant, a pool and other areas to relax and enjoy the area. I was unable to taste the wine during our visit because I'm pregnant but would definitely come back again with my husband because he would totally love to see this place.

Rosa M.

Yelp
Lots of fun. Good food and beautiful area. A must to see. The wine is excellent. The wine tasting is fun and so is the bocce ball. Their pool is beautiful.

Kara E.

Yelp
Let me just say that whether you're a wine drinker or not, this place is a lot of fun either way. If you're more of a movie buff, like me, then you would certainly know who FFCoppola is. This place has an area showcasing a number of paraphernalia from his films, his Oscar trophies, etcetera. The wine bar itself is not that spacious but stylishly and artistically decorated. Would definitely come back over and over again

Andrew M.

Yelp
We visited Coppola Winery with friends and started with a wine tasting. Our server, Sarah, was knowledgeable and helpful, making the wine selection enjoyable. We then had dinner where the pasta and meatballs were delicious. Our dinner server, Nathan, was fantastic and attentive to our needs. The beautiful vineyard setting was the cherry on top of a great experience. Coppola Winery made our outing with friends a memorable one with its good wine, tasty food, and excellent service.

Scott B.

Yelp
Having visited over 40 wineries to date, this is my least favorite thus far. Compared to Inglenook in Napa, this is a total 180. The wines here are average at best. Typical grocery store varieties. Nothing memorable about anything we tasted. Our party of 10 left empty handed which was unique on this trip. We dined at the restaurant on property. For was good, service was odd. Because we had a party of 10, gratuity was factored into the bill and because of this we all felt we were forgotten quite often. Sadly, I cannot recommend this property.

Ana F.

Yelp
Such a sweet and beautiful place to visit ! We loved our time and enjoyed a nice bottle of wine with a beautiful view.

Kevin W.

Yelp
Coppola Winery is a large beautiful winery in the Napa/Sonoma area. I see their bottles everywhere and had to stop by when I found out they were on my route. They are a huge venue, large tasting rooms, 2 floors, huge restaurant, and ton of movie props. Reservations are needed to taste. Service was friendly. We were seated fast. Friendly towards kids. Reserve Flight - $35 Family Flight - $30 Pricey. Wine was good. Pours were ok size. Worth a one time visit. I loved seeing the Godfather props.

Bethany L.

Yelp
My recent visit to Francis Ford Coppola Winery was lovely! We were greeted with warm hospitality. Sarah's wine expertise made the tasting experience delightful, and Nathan's service at Rustic was top-notch. From the wine flight to the risotto, everything was delicious. I loved all the movie memorabilia as well!

Michael L.

Yelp
This winery was recommended by a good friend, where basically his job is going to all the wineries in California. He said Coppola was the best winery he has been to. So based on his recommendation, I made reservations at Coppola Winery for wine tasting followed by lunch (lunch is a separate Yelp). The winery takes about 1 1/2 hours drive from Oakland. It's located directly off of highway 101. When driving through the vineyards, during fall it is beautiful. The green mixed with yellows and reds from the leaves. There's a huge parking lot for visitors. Stepping inside of the building, there are movie props from all the films that Francis Ford Coppola directed. The Godfather, Tucker, Bram Stokers Dracula, Apocalypse Now, Etc. We started with the wine tasting of exclusive wines that they carry only at this location. My wife really enjoyed their 2015 Sofia Methode Champenoise and 2018 Francis Ford Coppola Reserve Pinot Noir from the tasting, so we purchased. The staff for the wine tasting were very friendly and professional, explaining each wine as we tried them. A big plus is that during summer, the winery also has a pool. So cabanas with private showers can be rented. Wine, food, sun tanning, and swimming can all be done as a day trip here. It's really a nice experience for those who like Francis Ford Coppola films, to see the displays of his movies, along with all the beautiful scenery. I highly recommend coming to Coppola Winery. Pro Tip: reservations are a must.
