The food was great. The employees were very friendly. The place is maintained very well. Every table is decorated, the ambiance was great. They have variety of food. They also have desserts. We came as a large team and everyone enjoyed it here. It is crowded here, you will need to book your table in advance.

Oh my god. Where do I even begin? The interior is gorgeous and the restaurant is huge, it stretches over three floors and looks very inviting inside. The staff are super polite, respectful, and professional. The menu is intriguing and there’s definitely something for everyone. Be aware that the prices are not cheap at all but you get what you pay for and the food is delicious. If you order steak you have the option of grilling it yourself on hot plates that they bring out for you and if you have the chance definitely do it!! It’s a show and an experience. They also have loads of cocktails to choose from. We absolutely loved it here and we are definitely coming back! Don’t even get me started on the dessert. You just have to try it to get the full experience. Come here, you definitely won’t regret it.

If you're looking for unusual cuisine in a beautiful venue, look no further than Rustic Stone. I would classify it as fusion Asian that is delicately presented. For starters I would definitely recommend the Crab Mayonnaise & Pressed Spiced Cucumber. For mains we had the hot rocks - beef & tuna. Both were exceptional but the tuna was my favourite. Every mouthful was an explosion of flavour, yet subtle. The venue itself is romantic with soft lighting & lovely wooden decor. The service was exceptional. I highly recommend it.

Beautiful place with very tasteful decoration, excellent service and wonderful, very tasty food. In a sea of sames, rustic stone gets a highlight due to its non-conventional approach. We had the meat Bento and everything was delicious, with a special mention to the chicken and the broccoli. Everything was very tasty without being overburdening, and the tasteful touches like the heavily vinegary rice to clear the palate shows we're in the hands of a capable and caring chef. Will definitely come back to taste the stone cooked meat and the rest of the menu.

Great dinner at Rustic Stone. You can have your meat on the stone, which is a great experience. The beef fillet was excellent, of great quality. My partner went for the roasted pumpkin curry, which was absolutely delicious, super flavourful, a great surprise! I also enjoyed their selection of non alcoholic cocktails (Recommending the Pink&Cosmo), that for once don’t taste just like fruit juice. Staff was very nice, and even treated us to a dessert, on the house! I believe it was because there was a bit of wait, but we didn’t feel it at all. The place can get quite busy and loud though. Finally, it is definitely pricey, but I felt like the quality was there, everything we had was excellent. However, price for the dips and sauces is ridiculous; even a bottle of that dip would be cheaper.

We went for an early dinner. Was a bit quiet when we arrived, but got busier which added to the atmosphere. Staff were super knowledgeable and appropriately attentive. Food was pretty good. Would recommend.

The food was delicious and exciting, the tuna was served with a hot metal plate to cook the fish in the table. They also have a very good selection of Japanese drinks.

What can I say? This is an absolutely fantastic restaurant. The staff, the food, the service, everything was perfect. Thank you all for making our Saturday early evening so good

Fun Japanese/American fusion place. Their on the stone option let you cook your own steak/tuna at the table. Quite fun to do it as a group. Desserts are just ok, nothing with wow factors. The ginger cake is a bit savory than expected, paired well with the vanilla ice cream. Service was good and staffs are attentive.

I tried several dishes here The service was good, the manager was excellent and working hard making sure everyone was happy, it was a busy place. The atmosphere was really nice too. The food was really good too, we tried the following: Tuna Tartar (~€13), my favorite appetizer here by far, refreshing and the flavors are balanced and great My friend got the cumin ribs (€36), fall off the bone, my friend loved it Friend rice cakes (~€8), I liked it, but my friend didn't like the sauce, it was too sweet for them Miso Salmon (~€15), super good, nice and refreshing Tuna Boa (€18), it was crispy, and all but it wasn't for me, like I didn't like it at all, the manager was great and got me a replacement that I preferred instead. It was refreshing to get American quality customer service here in Dublin. Truffle Fries with Parmesan cheese (~€6), it was good Sticky Toffee Pudding with Ginger Ice Cream and Miso Salted Caramel sauce (~€12), super good All in all will definitely go back, great food and night out.

Nice trendy Asian spin on a steak house. The cuts of meat are all 100% Irish beef and it lists the butchers. You can choose to cook your own on a hot stone or have the kitchen do it for you. The crispy broccoli was delicious.

My boyfriend made a reservation here for dinner during our visit to Ireland, and it was a lovely time. Rustic Stone is an elevated spot -- the decor is stylish and warm, leather and wood, reminds me of hearth-style cooking. People are dressed up. The service was attentive, friendly, and quick. We decided to share one main and several starters/sides for dinner. The two of us ordered the (1) borlotti bean minestrone soup, (2) the salt cod brandade, (3) the asian quail on a stick, (4) the pork pappardelle, (5) the truffle chips, as well as two cocktails. It was far too much food for the two of us (surprise!), but my favorites were the minestrone (thick and tomato-y) and the quail (tender and well-cooked, but you have to finagle with some bones). The truffle chips are very thick cut, which I don't usually prefer. But overall, a beautiful evening! Everything was very good, nothing mind-blowing, but a good restaurant for a fancier night out. Would recommend. PRO TIP: Sign in to the restaurant WiFi, then check your email thirty minutes later for a coupon for free Prosecco. We both found ours in our inboxes only after we'd left for home!

Visited this restaurant for dinner on my 1st night in Ireland. I did not make a reservation, which is very unlike me but that was because I did not know what time I would be done with my tourist activities for the day. The restaurant was busy as I entered it on a Thursday night around 8pm, but I was seated promptly. The restaurant had a very modern vibe. Minimalist decor, and low lighting made for trendy setting. Service was friendly, I was offered menu recommendations, and my server was attentive even though I was a party of 1. Ireland in my mind was not a foodie city before I traveled here this year. Now my mind is changed. There are a lot of restaurants serving very unique and creative menus. Lots of hardworking chefs really working to turn the perception of Ireland's food around. I had traveled to the country in 2006, and recalled bland food that focused more on quantity than quality. Just in the past 10 years things are changing for the better, and Ireland is really being put on the map for their culinary scene. Dining alone I had quite the hard time deciding on what to order since a lot of items caught my eye. I figured I would stick to a standard 3 course meal--ordering an appetizer, entree, and dessert. The restaurant also had an extensive cocktail menu, wine and alcohol selection. I opted for wine since most of the cocktails were gin based, and nothing really struck me. I like the concept of the restaurant were items are served on a hot stone to finish cooking at the table. It is a very unique concept. The menu is clearly marked as what is served on the stone, and what is not. If you opt to get items on the stone then you are semi responsible to ensure your food is cooked to your preferred temperature. I started with the prawn lollipops, which were served on a stone. The prawns were very tasty; the avocado puree and ginger poached melon added a really nice depth. My only compliant is the appetizer was pretty pricey for 3 sticks of prawns. For my entree I ordered the braised beef shin with truffle tagliatelle. This entree was very tasty, and a very hearty portion. The beef was braised perfectly--the meat was tender and infused with flavor. The pasta was heavenly--cheesy, and creamy, and the truffle really stood out. I somehow managed to eat the whole entree because it was just so delicious. I thought the entree was properly priced for the size of the portion, and the taste. I finished my meal with a rose and orange blossom trifle. This was a very light dessert, but was a great end to my meal. It was a really nice combination of flavors. I would highly recommend dining here on your journey to Dublin. It is a trendy space with a great selection. Get a taste of Dublin's culinary scene!

We are from Los Angeles California and love a good steak restaurant. This place gives you the ability to sear your preferred protein on a very hot stone brought to your table. Cocktails were good and wine selection was very international. The best part was the service! Our server Ashley answered all our numerous questions about the menu and was knowledgeable on the wine selection to go with our mains. She did it all with a smile and jovial spirit.

Best food in Dublin. Hell, best food in the UK dare I say? Their sister restaurant Fade Street is a different menu for sure. Was not impressed with the tapas at an event hosted there. It was a bummer because we fell in love at Rustic Stone and assumed it would be the same. Anyway, their soups and pastas were beyond. The most memorable meal I've had in ages. Nothing pretentious, just incredible well created dishes. Easily the most rec'd place in my three weeks in Dublin. (Ended up going to the upstairs Japanese fusion spot later in the week. Someone I was with said it was the best of that cuisine she's ever had.)

I ate here twice while in Dublin, and while I loved the food, I had two vastly different experiences. The first night was later (after ten) on a Friday, as Rustic Stone serves later than many Dublin establishments. Even though it's trendy, the staff was quite friendly and very attentive. Plus, I loved the food. So when I needed dinner on Sunday, I decided to go back to Rustic Stone. Sunday dinner did not go so well. I called to make a reservation and was told that none were available for a party of one near the time I wanted, but I could walk in and would probably have a wait due to the restaurant's popularity. I then thought to check Open Table and there were plenty of available reservations. Score! I headed to Rustic Stone and the place was definitely not packed. I check in with the hostess, who happens to be the same woman that I had talked to on the phone. Who then happens to be a co-server. I think my main server was new-ish, but he did a good job. This woman was so rude and condescending that I could not believe I was in the same place as Friday night. As good as the food was, the experience was awful. I was planning on a three course meal with wine, but went with just two courses so I could leave sooner. So that's my issue with service. Now, on to the food. Friday, I had a drink, the bread board, and the penne pesto. The fruit-based cocktail was strong. The bread is excellent. A hearty, rustic bread pairs well with the hazlenut oil baba ganoush. I loved it so much that I ordered it on Sunday as well. The penne had plenty of pesto and was covered in Parmesan but it was tasty and filling. On Sunday, I also tried the chicken wings and the halibut. I'm not sure if Ireland has Korean fried chicken (BonChon), but these wings approached that level of crispness. They were flavorful, albeit quit sticky. Halibut is a favorite of mine, and it was cooked "on the stone". They bring you a super hot stone and your meat or fish. I really liked it, and it gave the halibut a great flavor. The walnut relish was a nice pairing, as well. Plus, it came with a super fresh salad. I love the chef's use of different nuts and nut oils, as it really adds to the dishes. This place has a slight branding issue, as I can't tell if is Rustic Stone or Stone at Rustic. The chef talks to you through the menu, which I somewhat like, and definitely appreciate the menu key. The vibe is trendy yet warm. The location is great and so is the food. But the service is too inconsistent to warrant a visit.

Omg, The worst hamburger I've ever had in my life, look at rhe picture of it and how small it is, how are you supposed to eat something like that? I asked for medium and it was well done and the top was burnt it was tough to cut and the bun was so stale. The only good thing about it were the polenta fries, they were great. My friend had the pasta with pork and you can see from the picture how unappetizing it looks and it was just extremely bland the pork had good flavor but that was the only thing good about it, neither one of us finished a quarter of either dish, it was so bad We came here because we wwent to their restaurant Faith on Saturday night and it was amazing but this place is god awful

Very good food, we all got steaks on the stone and it was delish. Great ambience and nice service. What was unexpected is that you will leave smelling like hot meat :) The cauliflower side was amazing.

Absolutely the best meal I have had here in Dublin. Our server Joe was phenomenal. Their steak was on point as if it's over cooked it's your fault. Their ambiance was great and their staff seemed quite knowledgeable about what they are doing. I had the faux gras burger that came with the most amazing truffle chips (fries in American.) The fries came with delicious cheese sauce on the side. The burger was dry aged beef that had faux gras and amazing sweet onions with some goat cheese on it. The beat $30 burger I have ever had. Try this place. I can't give this place enough of an review.

Great food but remember you cook your own. So get over that, and order the steak and bottle of Italian red like we did. Add in the truffle chips, two excellent side salads and (of course) the chocolate soup for dessert and you've got a stellar night of dining in the heart of Temple Bar. Be prepared for about $125 to 140 Euro for two, with bottle of wine. But worth it for a nice night out.

My husband and I were looking for a steakhouse for our last dinner in Dublin and we couldn't have possible chosen any better. The Raw board was a perfect starter to share and the stone method is so much fun. We had the Fliet and the Rolls Royce sirloin, and they were both great although the filet was so much more tender (of course). If you like cauliflower, get the side of cauliflower, I dont have the menu as i write this, but it was truly tasty.

This place does not disappoint! It is a beautiful and quite sexy restaurant with amazing cuisine. The food is delicious and very clean. Since I am traveling, it is often hard to find healthy food, so I am very grateful to have found this oasis. They are known for delivering the meats and a hot stone to your table that you can then cook to your liking. While it all the steak looked tasty, I went for the prawns and a citrus and watermelon salad. And it was fantastic! I highly recommend if you are in Ireland and looking for a lighter more sophisticated place for dinner. **also, there is a great bar upstairs... so a good combination for a pre or post dinner drink.

Had a Merlot on glass, The Rolls Royce steak and chips as a side. €100 It's a fun experience, like a 'fancy gourmet', at first impression. The staff isn't familiar with common restaurant etiquette. The staff was running through the restaurant (with bags of garbage!) and yelling to one another. Everything was delicious! We enjoyed a fantastic lunch here for a Yelp Elite event and loved everything we tried. I've always wanted to try this place and now I know I'll definitely be back. I had the sliders "Glamburgers" and really loved them. I'm a major burger snob but these were delicious. A generous slider, the two together would definitely add up to an average size burger. Cooked perfectly (you can choose the temperature) crispy onions, melted cheese, and a sauce that was absolutely fab. The polenta chips that came with the burgers were fine, but the truffle and parmesan chips were amazing! Big chunks of potato sprinkled with fresh parmesan, you dip into the absolutely divine truffle mayo. That right there is a meal in itself! I got to try the crab toasty starter and I would definitely order that next time. A nice menu with a healthy edge, lots to choose from, seems like the place to go for a big steak, served sizzling on a stone, which even I could appreciate and I don't like steak. Lots of salads (huge salads!) and veggie options like pesto pasta, and I can't wait to come back to try the dessert. Impressive wine list as well, which I look forward to sampling next time. Although it might be a little pricey compared to some places, it's actually very reasonable, considering the flavor and the freshness of the ingredients involved. Nothing feels greasy so you don't even feel guilty getting a burger and chips! Staff are friendly and attentive, always there to refill water etc. and they'll even take your coat, because it's a classy joint like that. See you again very soon, Rustic Stone!

Dylan McGrath can do no wrong. This is his 2nd restaurant I've dined in and as always I left feeling very impressed at the top quality and uniqueness of the dishes. I went here on a sleepy Sunday afternoon having received a members email offering a starter and main course for 2 for 26euro. It would have been wrong not to give it a go at this price! I thought perhaps the options served would be their less popular dishes and tiny portions but I was so wrong. I started with salted cod and pancetta which came served like three tiny lollipops. Presentation was beautiful and the fish perfectly cooked. For mains we shared their steak stone and pesto polenta chips. The waiter arrived with a smoking hot stone with four different cuts of meat sizzling on top. Three sauces were provided to try with each cut and you could cook each piece to your own liking. All of the meat was tender and succulent and the polenta fries were a nice change to normal potatoes. The portions were big so unfortunately we didn't have space for a dessert so I can't comment on them. This would be a lovely restaurant for a special occasion. Staff are super friendly and extremely enthusiastic. I can't wait to try another one of Dylans creative restaurants.

Delighted to have the opportunity to have lunch here with some new yelpers that I haven't met before and the lovely Emily C for #yaponyelp today. I've eaten here before and really like the food. I opted for two "bites" with a side, rather than a starter and main. The salmon tempura was crisp and delicious, perfectly poached inside and with a creamy cucumber accompaniment. I also had the honey, sesame wings which were crispy and perfectly cooked and a side of pesto fries - giant wedges of potato chips with lashings of Parmesan and a generous dollop of fresh pesto. Although I said this before; why is the pesto underneath and not on the fries?? Nice wine menu, I had a cheeky glass of Pinot Grigio which was lovely. I also got to try the crab mayonnaise starter which was amazing and Deffo something I will order again myself and for the first time I had order envy over a salad!! Emily's salad looked divine. Nice company, good food, perfect afternoon :)

So close to a 3, the service was abrupt, cold and lacked any engagement. The only thing that saved it was the food, the wine and a very nicely brewed coffee. Tuna and sweet peppers was so good. My fish in the bag wasn't available because apparently as sun was out it was off the menu. I swapped with the superfood salad and that didn't disappoint. The polenta chips rank amongst the tastiest morsels I have eaten. Overall I would be happier if the service improved but I would go back

I am a meat lover and I don't deny it. I was here with some nice people from Yelp and when you combine good food and good company the overall experience is always positive. From the starters options I opted for a seafood version: the crab mayonnaise on toast with torn herbs and wheatgrass.The menu is very meat drive as you would expect from the name and I couldn't pick a better option: the sirlion of beef with three peppercorn relish which was brought to the table just seared on a hot stone. You can leave your steak to continue cooking or remove the steak to rest on side plate and then slice and cook each bite to preference. The sides are single but we were advised to share singles as they are large. I had the truffle chips with mayonnaise and parmesan. Its worth mentioning others at the table opted for different cuts and feedback on all was great.

Three course meal paired with a bottle of wine and lots of cocktails on a rainy Wednesday night - woop! Food was delish. We enjoyed cooking the different cuts of meats on the hot stone to your taste, which went down really well with the Tempranillo. The highlight of the evening was finishing up with cocktails in the bar upstairs. It was a cosy affair with very comfy seats and fantastic cocktails. Try the lychee martini, yum!

I've gone by this place countless times but never sat down for a proper meal here really until earlier today. It did not disappoint. I hade the crab mayo on toast for starters and it was divine. Full of flavour. I had the beef with terragon and mushroom for mains as well as truffle fries and both were amazing. I overcooked my beef a little bit but it was still delicious and the mushrooms were very tasty. It was all great and i'll definitely be going back.

I'm from Belgium and Yelp (again) helped me to find a nice place. It's a lovely restaurant where dishes are well presented and taste very good. The speciality of the house is meat on (very hot) stone. The taste is fantastic. The service is perfect and everybody care about you. I enjoy a big big hamburger which was tasty. The only negative point is the price , which is a bit too much. I recommend.

Stopped in for a quick dinner salad and this place was delicious! I got the mustard greens and 2 red stuffed peppers. The salads was one of the best salads i have had ever! Everything was fresh and the different ingredients worked well together. The peppers i would skip next time but it was still quite tasty. Though they are known for their hot stone cooking I wasn't too hungry but everything that came out of the kitchen looked amazing! Would definitely come back to try.

I've been back to Rustic Stone a number of times since my last review. A well deserved extra star for improved service -I was especially impressed today - really friendly & attentive staff, made for a huge improvement on the first visit! As for the food, the steak, salads and fancy chips are consistently good. I've also tried the pasta from the lunch menu which looks impressive but didn't pass the taste test. Skip the pasta and try the rest!

A few steps away from our room in Dublin.. When we came for lunch, there was only one other table. Quick glance at the menu, we were able to find lots of interesting items. They had small dishes as well as bigger main dishes. We decided on several things instead of ordering from the main dishes. We had the superfood salad which had a delicious haddock, grilled Asian quail, and salmon tempura. All simply amazing! Prices are good for the quality of food we were served. We had a really good lunch and definitely have this place on our list for our next visit!

Wow! We started off with a proper Guinness and amazing rhubarb with vodka beverage. Sooooo good! We enjoyed chicken wings with sesame seeds, a fantastic penne pasta and soup with chunks of tomatoes and chorizo sausage and ended our amazing dinner with chocolate soup!! Who makes chocolate soup? These people have perfected it! The staff is sweet and helpful. The restaurant is edgy and warm.

Booked here for lunch. We arrived 20 minutes early but our table was ready. The menu is huge!!! Took me a while to choose what I wanted For starters I chose from the raw menu. I went with the monkfish cured in beetroot with avocado. Beautifully presented and tasted so good. I got to try some tuna and pickled peppers too and it was v yum :) For my main I chose tuna on the stone. The crust on the tuna was gorgeous as was the accompanying salad which included orange. We decided to share polenta chips. These are super healthy and super yum. I wish I had ordered my own!! For dessert I chose the chocolate soup and chocolate mousse. What amazed me about this is that it's sugar free and utterly delicious. My only issue was I couldn't get all of the chocolate soup out of the carafe. We shared a bottle of Picpoul de Pinet wine and finished with coffees. The only reason this wasn't a five was due to the staff. I found them to be a tad abrasive and the service can be a bit abrupt. With that being said everything was incredible and I will definitely be back.

This place was cute and their menu looks amazing! Although, when we went it was nearly closing so we weren't given a choice but the tasting menu. Overall our food consisted of Sushi and Steak and of course dessert. The Sushi were good. But the steak: we had 2 different kinds. One was sliced and was cooked to perfection. The sauce that came with it was AMAZING. The second kind of meat was in a Kabob presentation sitting on top of a cute tiny ceramic pot with a grill. So it looked like a mini BBQ pit. I took a bite or I should say tried to take a bite out of the meat and FAILED. I even tried to use the knife we had and still FAILED! After breaking a sweat from a tug-of-war with the meat I finally had the chance to slice off a piece AND damn another work out. The meat was rare on the inside and was chewy and sooooooo tough. After a few jaw breaking chew I had to spit it out. As for desserts, it was dessert...lol Clearly it was not that impressive. Presentation was nice but that was it. It just felt like what ever was left is what is served. Sorry Chefs and Sous Chefs maybe next time.

You know when you finish something you've been enjoying eating so much that it makes you so sad when it's finished?! That's how I felt when my lunch came to an end in Rustic Stone. To start, I had the raw tasting plate. It was artfully presented, and so tasty. The beef carpaccio in particular stood out, as well as the horseradish bell peppers, and this strange carrot / orange foam shot. For main, I had the chicken salad, which was bursting with goodness and flavour. In particular I loved how it was served - I'm a sucker for a good bowl, and this comes in a purty wooden one, with the zesty dressing in a little glass bottle to the side. It was huge, and filled with various green leaves, artichokes, asparagus, beans and, chicken. The chicken was the only let down for me - it was average - not the best quality and although it would seem to go against their ethos, it seems like it was reconstituted? It didn't have those strands you find in 'normal' chicken?? As a side, I had the green relish with peas, broad beans & spring onions. Now firstly I have to say that it is neither a relish or a purée, however, it is unbelievably tasty. Really. This was the component I was most sad about finishing. I dunno what they put in with those greens, but I would eat them for ever. Two courses for 18.95, with a side and a coffee. Not bad in any type of restaurant, but for one of this calibre, I was even more impressed. It's great to be able to go out and eat food that fills you, is well presented, tastes amazing, and is as healthy as you can get. My only other slight besides the chicken, was that the staff weren't overly friendly. They were professional and brisk, and some people would be totally on board with that, but I guess a smile wouldn't go amiss for me.

I had previously tried to get a seating here on several occasions but alas my tardiness and penchant for booking at peak periods had eluded me the experience thus far. I came here on a Tuesday evening for a work event. There were ten of us in my party and we were given the option of eating from a set menu (€55 or €70 pp) upstairs in the newer, more 'creative' (albeit 'sushi or nothing') Taste restaurant, or eating from the a la carte menu downstairs at the more established Rustic Stone. We opted for the a la carte menu given the greater range in choice. We were led downstairs to a round table at the back of the room. The setting was great for such a large party and allowed us to interact with one and all. Music and lighting were low and the other tables were starting to fill which served to add a chilled, this-could-be-the-weekend vibe. There was a good choice on menu; I opted for the Tuna on a hot stone (€28). I was presented with the most succulent, raw tuna steak I have tasted. It comes on a hot stone which you then cook to your own desired level, and had a topping of roasted hazelnuts. This was, quite simply, heaven. The cut of tuna was so beautiful and I ended up removing it from the hot plate immediately and eating it, mostly raw, following a quick warming of each piece on the hot stone. Others opted for the fillet of beef (on the stone), and the halibut (on the stone). If you're feeling lazy or don't trust your cooking-timing ability, there are other options such as the Glamburgers (off the stone) and courgette linguini. All of these dishes looked delicious and most plates were wiped clean. None of the mains come with side dishes so we ordered a few to share. Highlights included polenta chips which disintegrate in your mouth with fluffy deliciousness. All sides vary from €4-5, and there is a good selection offered. Despite being completely full at this stage, I decided to order a dessert having seen the interesting menu. I went for the poached peaches with orange and tapioca and pistachio nuts. This was nice and light as promised on the menu, and perfect to finish off my meal. Other options included chocolate soup or fruit sushi with surprise wasabi. All in all, a great evening and worth the wait.

This was the first real meal my husband and I had on our European Honeyversary. It was a great find; I highly recommend this place! There were a few options, but as I was glancing at the menu, I saw someone cooking their own steak on a marble slab. Oh that's where they got the name, now I know! I thought it looked fun, so I looked at that section "on the stone" and found tuna with hazelnuts, coriander, and ginger. I love tuna, and this was delicious! I've decided I want to try to recreate this. The food was delicious and the service friendly. I know some people who would turn up their nose at the idea of cooking the food themselves. They paid for someone else to do it, but I enjoyed the novelty of it. I got to cook it as much as I wanted and when I wanted, so I could enjoy the food. Also, it didn't get cold while we enjoyed each other's company.

Service appalling, food very much below par. The starter was good however I like my steak medium rare yet when my steak arrived on the stone it was tough. The vegetables were inedible. Desert came I had ordered the poached pair and yet again inedible. My coffee never arrived and I gave up. It was our staff Christmas Dinner so I didn't make a fuss but then the waiter came over and said 230 deposit paid, 730 to pay we need your table please leave. Absolute disgrace you don't deserve to be in business I hope you go bankrupt.

I'm going to take a bold leap and say this may have been one of the best meals in my life? I loved the concept of having my entrée served on a hot volcanic stone. So many restaurants have overcooked my ahi tuna and steak in the past so I welcomed the opportunity to cook every bite of my steak to the perfect medium rare temperature. I wish more restaurants served fish and steak through this method! The other courses at Rustic Stone are all served fully cooked so you won't be "cooking" your entire dinner. If you prefer to not cook your meal there are entrees that are not served on a stone, but I promise that you are missing out! Our table ordered: Duck 'N' Beef Sandwiches: 5/5 Amazing!!! We were shocked at the small portion size at first, because we had mistaken this dish as an appetizer. To be fair, it was listed under "Bites" and not "Starters". So be warned: the bites are just a few bites! Tempura of Salmon w/ Crunchy Broccoli, Mint & Cucumber: 5/5 Another tasty bite! Tuna w/ Coriander, Dill, Basil & Rocket: 5/5 I ordered the tuna and my husband ordered the steak so that we could try both. This tuna was incredible! I immediately removed it from the stone to prevent it from overcooking and just lightly seared each bite. Fillet of Beef w/ Mushrooms & Tarragon: 5/5 By serving the steak on the volcanic stone we were able to eat every bite as a perfect medium rare. It was magical. Pesto Chips w/ Garlic, Tomato & Parmesan: 5/5 How can you not love homemade kettle chips? We skipped dessert (a pity because the dessert menu looked divine!), but we could barely finish our meal and had plans for a long night of pub crawling. If I ever get the chance to visit Dublin again I will 100% be dining at the Rustic Stone!

I don't have enough good things to say about Rustic Stone. My fiance and I happened upon this restaurant on a weekend visiting Dublin over the New Year. I'm English, she's American and we live in LA, so we have a pretty good experience of delicious food. Everything about Rustic Stone was great, from the cocktails and food to the service and experience. We tried various cocktails and shared some appetizers, all of which were imaginative and delicious. We had mains on their signature hot stone which were fun and delicious. I have a real sweet tooth and the desserts were to die for. The service was incredibly attentive throughout and the restaurant is ideally located among other central Dublin attractions. It's definitely on the pricier side, but if you're looking for a fancy dinner with delicious food and drinks in Dublin city centre, look no further.

This is a busy restaurant and has been helped by Dylan McGraths recent appearance on Irish Masterchef. I have to say we really enjoyed our meal here on Saturday evening, the service was friendly and efficient. The head waiter explained the theory behind the food and how to use the menu, once explained this is easy. There is a slight move towards healthier eating here, for example no sugar is used in the desserts. The food was good, we shared a bread & dip starter, the hummus and pesto dips were great. For mains I had the tune on the lava stone, this came with a fennel salad and mint pesto topping. The salad was fantastic and an absolute stand out for me. The tuna was in itself a bit bland, but the pesto was great. I ordered a side of truffle fries which were great chunky chips. But the truffle taste was MIA. My wife had the burger, which I duly tasted just in case :) It's not a huge burger, but is probably one of the best I have tasted. For dessert I had the sliced fruit sushi (i linked a picture so it should be on here somewhere). This was yum, fresh & refreshing, and a great play on what you see is not always what you taste! My wife went for the Knickerbocker glory - a retro classic served in a tall glass - also very good. All accompanied by a nice bottle of vino and finished with two very strong double espressos! I liked it here, and would recommend.

Visited this restaurant on the recommendation of our food tour guide. Unbeknownst to us the signature dishes on the menu are brought out on a hot cooking stone, which one uses to complete the cooking process. Therefore the menu is heavy in beef and fish. A must try on the menu are the chicken wings, which can be had as a starter. We also appreciated that many dishes could be ordered in a large or small portions. The were well prepared and tasty. Definitely would recommend a visit. As a side note, there is a very interesting bar/lounge right above the restaurant that is worth a visit.

We bought a taste.ie voucher (which are always great value) that entitled us to two courses each for €24. Arriving, the place was very busy. Which is a good sign. Seated in a nice area. The service was very fast. But, the staff were not friendly. We thought b it was just us. But the person was as unfriendly to a couple that sat down next to us also. The food... It sounds delicious on the menu and we ordered the two starters and meat for two cooked on a stone with chips. The food and side chips with sauces were delicious. I can't fault it. Maybe a little more would of been nice. But since we had a voucher I can understand. Will we go back? Staff play such a big role in our experience of enjoying restaurants. So, we don't think we will. But, we'll give it a year and see. Food was fantastic, front of house needs to improve big time. If that balance is found. Then it'll be a great place. Well done chefs...

Big. Bigger. Rustic Stone. For the best quality T-Bone I have ever tasted, bring your partner in crime to get that neanderthal feeling as you run your knife through incredible meat.

Went in for lunch on a Friday- was pretty empty. Two of us had the pastas and were scraping the bowl- literally. The pappardelle with pork was outstanding- I was debating with another dish bc I didn't think the pumpkin cream sauce sounded appetizing but I'm glad I wasn't dissuaded because it was delicious. Friend had the pesto and a few salads and all were excellent! The drinks here were really good! Tried 4 drinks including a salted caramel martini for dessert which was outstanding! The service could have definitely been better but everything else was lovely.

It's my second time here with my mom for lunch and I find the food pretty nice in terms of taste, but the price and the amount you get is a bit out of proportion. I would say its a mixture of those classy upmarket Japanese/ French restaurants, vegan cafe and a grill. They have a raw food menu (the potions are bite size by the way), a selection of all vegetarian salads (only one including fish) costing between 8-14 euro, bean dishes, soups and sides (about 5-6 euro) and then some pricy steak and grilled fish (over 25 euro). You can select your portion size between small and large, but the servings in general are pretty moderate. I ordered the minestrone soup which was really hearty and a few small things from the raw food menu, which was visually pleasing but reeeaaally small, about 3 mouthfuls. The menu is pretty complex, in that each dish lists a ton of ingredients so it may seem like a lot, but can only a speck of carrot or a shaving of broccoli and it will be listed though you may not actually see it. But the sheer amount of text and descriptions for each dish made me even more indecisive than I already am when it come to ordering food. Overall, a nice place for a nice occasion, but if you just want to eat organic or vegan food, then there are much cheaper and better places that you can also get more for your money.

Amazing meal! Loved the concept of cooking some of the foods on a stone at your table. The menu itself was very diverse. Loved the tuna appetizer, truffle fries, sweet chili peppers, and the cauliflower florets! All delicious. I'd definitely go back.

We got there 20mins before our reservation so we were directed to the bar upstairs. Really nice decor, and only 3 other people there. I was impressed by the cocktail menu variety, I got a passionfruit and prosecco Bellini (delicious and soooo easy to drink!) and my dinner partner got a Long Island Iced Tea. He was really happy with it, although he had to give it a good mixing himself since the top half was just alcohol! Anyway, we had a voucher for 2 starters, mains, desserts and a bottle of white wine (€50, great value!). So our menu was a little limited than the normal menu. It was a Sunday night but the restaurant was busy enough. Starter chicken wings were not the best we've had, but they're quite nice, sticky and sweet. Also breads and dips were ok, but when they said 'crunchy bread' as one of the variety, I was hoping for a crunchy ciabatta or something, but it was a tiny breadstick with the middle wrapped in prosciutto. Dips were mediocre and I found the bread selection was not wide at all, they were all extremely similar to each other. Both mains we got 'glamburgers' (like two tall sliders), gorgeous and the accompanying polenta chips are to die for! Side of pesto chips were so nice, but the fennel side was terrible and difficult to eat; avoid!! Desserts: we were disappointed. My brûlée was soft, so crunchy top, bland-tasting. Only saving grace was the dollop of delicious pear sorbet..but it was very little. My dinner companion did not like the chocolate soup, I wasn't crazy about it either. Staff were polite, but seemed a bit busy and it was difficult to attract their attention. All in all, I liked this restaurant, I'll come back to try the normal menu...and make my way through the cocktail list haha! :)

My meal here surprised me. I knew it was perennially popular, but sometimes that just means filling a menu with predictable favourites. I was expecting steaks, burgers & chips... but salad with a beetroot juice dressing? Crispy seaweed crusted salmon? Yes, and they were both delicious! We ordered the smaller size of the salad to share and it's still a very generous serving - more than enough for both of us as a side with our steak. The hot stone cooking aspect is a novelty and probably my least favourite part of the meal. I would have preferred to just have my steak perfectly cooked to order instead of fiddling around with searing individual bites at the table. The other unavoidable side result of this is you end up leaving with the smell of meat grease in your clothes. The table beside us had ordered the halibut, which is served skin-side down on the stone so it gets properly rendered. That's how I like my fish cooked too, but the smell of the fish oils wafting over to our table was pretty darn strong. Conclusion: keep the cooking in the kitchen. The service was quick and efficient, and I'll definitely come back to try more of their menu (I've heard they do an excellent burger). Do make reservations if you intend on coming, as even on a weekday night, they can get fully booked! They also have a great little cocktail bar on the 2nd floor, which is perfect for a pre or post-dinner drink. We were there pre-dinner and when our table was ready, they brought our drinks down and transferred the tab over, so it all flowed seamlessly.

If you visit Dublin, don't miss out On a mind blowing taste extravaganza! Imaginative, sexy, succulent food with Great Service to boot! Make sure you book reservations, especially around holidays. Gabriel and the entire team at Rustic were pleasant, knowledgeable and just added to the sleek and chic ambiance. 5 stars and then some! #IslandBoySaySo!

Rustic has always been a go-to restaurant for me and my family so I'm disappointed to have to write this review. While the food and wait service were to a high standard on our last visit, one of the hostess/managers (woman with black hair) was so rude and unpleasant it really left us all with a bad taste in our mouths. It's disappointing that a restaurant like Rustic would have someone so lacking in customer service skills and so blatantly bad mannered and foul tempered in a front facing role. If you do go to Rustic just hope you don't have an interaction with this aggressive woman. If not, you will probably enjoy your evening.

One of the coolest dining experiences I've had. I've never seen the concept of a hot stone allowing you to cook your dish to your own desired state so this was a new experience. Starting with the atmosphere, the place is top notch. Hip modern vibe with Irish charm. Perfect. Next, service: good service, timely, professional, good recommendations, and carefully explained how best to eat from the hot stone (take off your meat, cut it into smaller pieces, then cook and eat as you go). Followed her advice and everything turned out superb. Finally, the food: delicious. I had the filet with mushroom topping and polenta chips for a side. I loved being able to cook my meat to the wellness that I desired, and it was a really good lean cut of meat. Everyone has been telling me that Irish beef is great, if its all like this one I'd definitely agree! We were a group of 4 (coworkers) and every stone dish (2 filets, a ribeye, and halibut) and side looked absolutely amazing. Would definitely come back, might have to be a staple for my business trips to Dublin.

Very good food and service! The portions are generous and tasty. The stone is a unique way to finish the cooking of the food. The salads are big and unique combinations. At the table we had soups, salads, stone meals, hamburgers and pasta! I would recommend any of these choices! Enjoy!
