Rusty Taco

My husband and I came in around 7:30pm , I ordered 1 taco , he ordered birria and we shared corn fritters . The corn fritters were still frozen in the middle of the. I took them to the counter and told the girl it was still frozen, she looked at me crazy and I said again , it’s frozen . Instead of offering to make new ones she put the ones we had just eaten off of and put into the fryer and gave back to us , now very crunchy and full of grease . I was really hoping we would love this place but just like many places here in midland the customer service was zero !

This place has gone sadly downhill. The past couple of times have been a little sketchy but this time was the last straw. My daughter and I went in and waited at the register to place an order. There was no one there. We waited for awhile while 4 toddlers ran amuck with no parents in sight, climbing in the drink fridge, running into our legs. I looked in the back and there were no workers. I tried to ask the bartender but she would not acknowledge me. After about 10 minutes (only waited that long bc my daughter really wanted some food)... I finally saw someone in the back and asked her to take our order. She just shrugged and went in the back theoretically to find someone to take our order. They never showed up. We finally left with the toddlers still climbing everywhere and screeching, no clue where the adults were... At the bar with the rude bartender I guess. Anyway, I called them on the phone after leaving and someone answered after many rings and said they could take our order if we wanted to come back. That's laughable. I will not be going back to this place ever.

Long time listener, first time caller. But finally had to write about the phenomenal service we receive at the Rusty. Brooke is an exceptional bartender, great service, delicious drinks! Definitely the best in the basin! Highly recommend! Best orange tea in the region!!

Absolutely, this place is an absolute hidden gem! Not only are the prices incredibly affordable, but the value you get for your money is outstanding. It's the perfect spot to unwind, watch a game, and savor a cold beer. What makes this place even more special is the owner, Bill. He's not just friendly; he's actively involved in ensuring every customer has a fantastic experience. His hands-on approach is both motivating and heartwarming to witness. From the moment we walked in until we left, Bill went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and appreciated. So, a huge thank you to Bill for consistently providing top-notch service! My family and I are already looking forward to our next visit.

We went to Rusty taco after work today. We were not greeted &, had to wait a long time to order a drink. The bartender was too busy chatting with all the men at the bar. She over-served some of them -one of them was so drunk he threw his glass of alcohol which landed on our table behind him and shattered, leaving me covered with glass & alcohol. The bartender said nothing no apology, did not come help clean up glass or offer me a towel to dry off,. It didn’t seem to phase her at all. Makes me wonder if this doesn’t happen frequently. She handed the large, thick shot glasses to one of the men, and when he threw it at me, when I asked her if she Knew who threw , her response was, “IDK where that came from.” After that, she let him drive home intoxicated.

Nachos are okay. Huge platter but needs more meat. That ways the only thing i liked from everything we ordered. Flour tortillas taste like store bought. You can smell and taste it being store brand not made there. The oil they use has a weird taste especially after I took a bite it has a nasty after taste. Also its $3-5 for ONE taco after paying almost $50 definitely not worth it. I won't be back Maybe just for the nachos if they add more meat.

Food was just ok. Nachos were the highlight. Fried chicken tacos meh. This establishment does not feel well-managed. Cashier was young and the family in front of us had someone cut in front of us. Cashier let them do a second order. Then another two people came up from outside straight to front and cashier let this family place a third order while the line started to pile up. We waited 20 minutes while one family placed multiple orders. A second worker occasionally came up to second cash register and did a few things to it but never opened it up to alleviate the line. Service was not friendly. There were no lids for the regular sized cups. Flies in the restaurant. I don't think we will return for awhile.

The sweet young gentlemen in the front named Issaias recommended two different tacos and I WAS IMPRESSED he was very sweet and tentative to our request. HE DESERVES A RAISE!! What a great person to have in the front to represent the restaurant. I will definitely be coming back because of our experience from the greeting to the tacos!!
