Yelp
Who knew that a park could get a Yelp review?? I stumbled on the listing and just had to comment about 2 of the negative reviews posted here.
I've been going to Ruth Hardy nearly every day, for 5 years, with my dog - usually in the morning, but sometimes in the late afternoon. I have NEVER, EVER noticed cruising men or "sketchy" people, although occasionally a homeless person may be sitting harmlessly on a bench. And, in case you may think me naive, I DO know what cruising looks like.
I've met wonderful folks at Ruth Hardy, with their dogs or children. Everyone is friendly, polite and considerate of others. There are seniors playing tennis, and they are always equipped with treats for the passing dogs, and younger folk watching their kids play on the jungle gym equipment. Local fitness trainers often hold classes under the shade of the trees. Even the groundskeepers waive at you as you pass.
There are often community events . . . fairs, picnics, 5k runs, bicycle races . . . held at Ruth Hardy.
This is a beautiful, well-maintained and sociable, family-friendly park.
