I’m so thankful we have an amazing sandwich shop like Rybrew in the neighborhood, especially being open until 9pm! The santa monica (+turkey) is one of my favorite sandwiches. Every ingredient is fresh and they all pair well together. The sourdough is perfect every time, soft with a nice crust. I have a hard time ordering any other sandwich here. I’ll continue to come back and make it a point to try other sandwiches! Service is friendly and quick too.

Google
Really great spot for paninis, sandwiches, soup, salad, and beer! Have been coming here for years, and it is always consistently delicious and well made, and the new location is very well done. The menu has a wide variety and the sandwiches are made fresh. They also have a big selection of chips, drinks, and beers (on draft or in cans). They have gluten-free bread available, and they ask to confirm if it is an allergy when you order. They also have vegetarian options and alternatives available. There is lots of space to sit and eat. Great local spot to try!

Google
One of the best sandwich shops in Philly with a lot of options. My personal favorites are the Tucson with avocado and the Buffalo panini. Rybrew is a great place to have lunch, play shuffleboard, and enjoy one of their board games on the back patio.

Google
Update: Rybrew has moved to a new location right up the street from the previous location. More space - upgraded elements, but a separate bar and same furniture and feel as the old spot. It's great! Previous review: Rybrew has the most tasty sandwiches and best customer service. Never disappointed in any panini I order! Love the vegan ice cream options, too!!

Google
Great local spot for draft beer and canned selections. I haven’t tried their food yet, but plan to very soon. Nice and friendly staff.

Google
Very pleasantly surprised that the sandwiches were perfectly saucy, super flavorful, filling, and had great texture. I'm used to so much worse from other places that offer sandwiches. I will definitely come back

When I'm in this part of Philly, this is my choice sandwich place. Jokers have fresh ingredients, and the sandwiches are very good. If you haven't been, you'll be writing about it later.

Google
Excellent sandwich shop, delicious cupcakes, and a huge range of beers available (and good coffee)! So far I've had a few different sandwiches here, and all were delicious 😋 I can't wait to come back and try more! Banh Mi Panini has been my out and out favorite

Yelp
The service, food and environment are great! Excellent if you love beer since there are many options. It's a cool spot to vibe with family, friends or as a couple. They moved too. I'm not sure if this address is correct. I'm headed there now for dinner. I'll update sooner than later.

Yelp
Quick and simple ordering process at the front, after you bring up your drink or snack selection from the other area. Lots of seating inside and they offer free Wi-Fi so you can work here like a cafe and enjoy a nice meal too. Good selection of sandwiches, and the one I chose was great quality and tasty. Nice and fresh. Will definitely be coming back to try others. Thanks

Yelp
Got the special of the day: thai chicken salad. It was a pretty big portion, but I still can't justify paying over $15 for a salad. The veggies were really fresh and the peanut sauce was very tasty! I enjoyed the salad and could split it into two meals. This place mostly sells sandwiches though. My friends tried different sandwiches here and weren't too big of fans.

Yelp
Every sandwhich I've tried has been really good. My favourite is the Cuban because I used to live in tampa, but they're all really good and the staff is nice and helpful. They moved locations so the space a bigger and a little brighter than the previous one. All of the ingredients are quality as well plus their selection of drinks and chips are really nice and cool finds

Yelp
I decided to stop in here recently on my way home from Boathouse Row and I'm so happy I did! I did not know where to go for a bite to eat in the neighborhood and Yelp recommended Rybrew. It is a cute sandwich, salad and brew shop. It has high ceilings and a lot of natural light. It seems like the perfect place to grab a drink and snack after work. They offer trivia and bingo nights. We tried the Tucson sandwich and it was incredible. The ingredients tasted super fresh and the bread was perfectly crispy. I do think the prices here are a bit high ($11 for a turkey sandwich!) but it was a really amazing sandwich.

Yelp
One of the first places I came to in Philadelphia moving here 5 years ago and it has never disappointed I loved the original location and I love the new one as well. My go to is always the San Fran panini it's so delicious and consistent every time and the portion is great especially because I always want to save half if I don't finish it and then reheat it in the oven and it's just as good. They throw events such as showcasing artists, trivia, bingo etc.. great selection of beers seltzers ciders and n/a drinks. Very calm vibes I always feel at peace when I'm there. And they have always been very respectful when I've brought my service animal in which means a lot to me considering the amounts of places I've been that really haven't educated their staff on service animals and the anxiety one gets having to go through the no dogs allowed and explaining it's a service animal etc etc but here they welcome service animals and are welcoming to everyone. I've met such kind people here and will always have this as my go to place I've tried the buffalo and the Santa Fe and the San Fran and they all are amazing but the San Fran panini I just have to get always!

Yelp
Cute spot along Girard. I had a salad and one of their beers, both tasty and priced well.

Yelp
Did not eat any food here but the service and ambience was great. You can grab any can from the fridge, their options were interesting and delicious. The seating is super comfortable and I loved the outdoor deck for a beautiful day. Would definitely stop by and try their food if I was in the area again!

Yelp
I'd been planning to come here and give 5 starts cause I've been so impressed with the quality of their sandwiches. The Napa and the Banh Mi are especially great. Skip the arugula salad. The annoying: I prefer to order for pick up via grubhub for many reasons and I've noticed it's almost faster to order in person as they don't process the grubhub orders as they're placed like most restaurants do. Instead they seem to check the orders sporadically. Then today, I placed an order on grubhub. The restaurant accepted the order and it was labeled as in progress in app. I got there early to enjoy the sunshine outside and because I didn't think they needed the full 20 minutes listed to make a simple BLT but then 35 minutes passed and I wasn't getting notified it was ready. I went inside and there was confusion. Apparently, they attempted to disable grubhub ahead of the lunch rush but somehow they didn't notice that they accepted my order. I was then told they would make my sandwich asap and 4 minutes later I was walking out with the BLT. Look, I'm a big fan. This is a great place (and would be even better if they opened early for breakfast and served bacon egg and cheddar sandwiches) but to have a customer waiting for 35 minutes when it was clearly a restaurant user error and to not offer to comp the sandwich -- really poor show. I removed one star and debated removing more.

Yelp
Tried the pork banh mi from Rybrew for pick up. There is plenty of outdoor seating, and for those who'd rather have some air conditioning, there are a few seats inside as well. There are fridges stocked with many types of beers and a cool interior with two floors. Not sure what the second floor is about. Was able to eat my takeout order inside. There was a dispenser with free ice cold water, which was extra necessary in this hot summer! My banh mi was about regular size, and was actually on a grilled baguette, making it super crispy and satisfying. There was enough pork on the sandwich, a few pickled veggies, and not much mayo but the flavor was fine. There are a few sandos on the menu to try, as well as some salads. Good bread, alright sandwiches, I would try again.

Yelp
Visiting from Austin Texas. Not bad sandwiches, pretty good ! Very nice selection of local beers.

Yelp
Love the new location. The sandwiches are delicious and very large. They have a great beer selection. I have also worked here in the middle of the day and was not bothered; everyone is very friendly. Recommend 5/5!

Yelp
Nice spot! This was a last stop after a day of drinking, and the beer and sandwich situation here really made my day. Sandwich wise, I got the San Fran, which was so good that I returned a few days later to get the exact same sandwich. Delicious both times. The beer selection is pretty extensive and I like that the beers from the fridge are for both dine in and takeout. The restaurant doesn't look that big, but there's quite a bit of seating. Along with the picnic benches outside, there's ample seating on the second floor for those Philly days when air conditioning is a must. It's also quiet enough up there to have a drink while getting some work done. Definitely one of my Brewerytown favorites!

Yelp
I love Ryebrew. The customer service is consistently good and the food is always freshly made. I usually get paninis from here but decided to order a salad and it was so damn good. There was plenty of chicken, Parmesan cheese and pesto. They didn't skimp on anything. The salad was filling and worth it. If you've never tried their salads you should give them a try.
google avatar

Yelp
Good ole sandwich joint in Brewerytown. Nothing on the menu is outstanding while nothing will let you down. They have an extensive choice of beers to choose from if you are into craft brews. Some of my favorites are the Denver (chicken salad sandwich) which has slices of grapes that add a nice natural sweetness to the sandwich as well as a Rymac (their play on a Mcdonalds big mac that is served panini style). Prices are super affordable.
google avatar

Jack M.

Yelp
I ordered the San Diego Panini. It's pulled chicken breast, provolone, pesto, and red peppers on a panini. The chicken breast in the panini was overcooked. It was dry and sticked to my teeth on the bite. The combination of flavors was good. Hard to go wrong with cheese, pesto, and red pepper. I was disappointed in the execution of the chicken breast on this sandwich.

Yelp
I loveee Rybrew. Everything they and Rybread (OG Fairmount location) have is amazing! Every time I'm in the area and hungry, I eat here! Best salads and sandwiches. My favorite thing on the menu is probably the Rybread which is a crab cake sandwich on a brioche bun. SO GOOD. The Napa panini is yummy and vegetarian! Recently I've been getting the house salad with a crab cake or tuna fish. There's outdoor sitting which is what I usually do. They have really cool, local kombucha's! I'm not a beer drinker but lots of beer options here. The breakfast sandwiches are really good too. Something as simple as an egg and cheese on a bagel here is really so good. Oh and the ice cream! A DREAM. I like their coffee. Can't wait to try more flavors!

Yelp
Ordered a BLTA which is hard to mess up unless some of the bacon is undercooked. Oi

Yelp
My friends and I just spent the best afternoon at Ryebrew(3 couples) after seeing the ridiculous line at Green Eggs, we left. Upon arriving we were glad to see this new spot for Ryebrew is much larger and accommodating for groups. We ordered a number of paninis/sandwiches, delicious soups and even a few soft pretzels. Everyone loved their paninis; San Diego, Tucson, Savannah, Buffalo etc, and the beer/cider selection is fantastic for people like us who are often undecided. The staff was so friendly and helpful, our server even stepped outside to take a group photo for us as we were leaving. We ordered a few additional sandwiches to go (as well as more beer) for our friends to take back to Delaware. If you are looking for a quick lunch, great beer, a place to take your out of town friends, please stop at Ryebrew, one of the best hidden gems in my Brewerytown neighborhood.

Yelp
I wish I had stopped into Rybrew pre-Covid because it looks like a really dope place to chill especially the upper level. Definitely planning a trip back when I can do exactly that. In the meantime you can stop in and pick up some beer which I did. The selection of crafts was pretty good. You can also get a variety of sandwiches and salads pick up or delivery for now. The guys at the counter were super friendly as well.

Yelp
Delicious and nicely sized sandwiches. Fantastic drink selection! Friendly staff and dog-friendly eatery.

Yelp
I love this place. The decor and food. The savanna is the best sandwich. Turkey and cranberry. It's so good I even took a picture! It's a lot bigger inside that it looks from the outside. Great place to hang out. Shuffle board upstairs.

Yelp
Good sandwiches. Much larger than their previous location. Great customer service. Highly recommend

Yelp
Cool place with a decent selection of food and a large variety of beers. I had the banh mi, an iced coffee, and a chocolate chip cookie. Staff was friendly and helpful. Coffee hit the spot, added my own sweetener and milk. Banh mi came out quick and hot. I'd say the flavors were quite good, but my own personal preference is for roasted, sliced pork, and they make it with a pulled pork. It was almost a little too tender/soft. Again, just my own preference. Roll was soft and just crunchy enough on the outside without being too hard. Jalapeños had a kick and the pickled veggies/cucumbers were just the right amount of sweet/sour. The sandwich as a whole, was pretty good. They offered to warm the cookie in the microwave and it came out just right. Slightly soft, not too dense, and also not too sweet. I'd be curious to try some other sandwiches.
google avatar

Yelp
Great paninis, great selection of craft beverages, and they also don't play around with their chip selection. Staff was real cool on top of it all!!

Kari K.

Yelp
The food is good, and the staff is very friendly. I would love to come here more often if there was a bike rack I could lock my bike to so that it doesn't get stolen while I'm there.

Yelp
My husband and I popped by Rybrew today while we were in the area. There were several people waiting outside for sandwiches, and once inside the phone was ringing with orders as well! My husband had a crab cake sandwich that he enjoyed, and I had the roast beef and cheddar sandwich which was absolutely delicious. I asked for the horseradish mayo on the side and I loved it! Rybrew peeps, there's some retail space on Washington Ave in Graduate Hospital. Just saying!

Yelp
A little spot, great at what it does! I was craving a panini and randomly found this place on yelp. I ordered the San Deigo, with grilled onions and extra provolone, and it hit the craving I was looking for! It was moist, cheesy, loaded with chicken, and I loved the pesto. A man I assumed to be the owner greeted me immediately, was very friendly, and he even hand delivered my sandwich to me when it was ready as I had stepped outside. They had a great selection of drinks with brews I've never heard of and a big menu. I recommend this place!
google avatar

Yelp
Great Sandwiches and atmosphere ! A go to place for dinner in the neighborhood, definitely give it a try.

Yelp
I have never had a panini this good. (I got the Tucson.) The first bite was glorious and so full of flavor, my mind felt blown. The bread was divine, with the perfect amount of crispiness and crunch. Unlike other paninis or toasted sandwiches I've had, I didn't feel heavy, greasy, or nauseous by the end of it. And this was at a very reasonable cost, especially considering the quality. The service was excellent; I didn't wait long for my sandwich and the person at the counter brought it over to me, though he really didn't need to. It was a very chill place and seemed to have a lot of seating, with a balcony above. I imagine this would be a good spot to work and enjoy some food or drink (or ice cream!) - if only I lived in Philly!
google avatar

Yelp
Rybrew is a neat little place. very friendly and helpful service. a great beer selection. the Bahn Mi was excellent. and the ice cream flavors, omg! highly recommend!

Yelp
Walking in, the place looked promising enough. An almost mandatory craft beer selection, hip selection of sandwiches, and artisan ice cream rounding out the hip eclecticism. The place was really off though. Mainly because of the shady pricing tactics. Beneath the veneer, if you look to the bottom of the menu (or at least some of them), is printed innocuously: "prices subject to change without notice". That means you will order a sandwich thinking you're paying the price printed on the menu. But then they can ring you up a higher price. And not tell you. And if you happen to catch this and point it out, they'll shrug their shoulders, mention the disclaimer, and mumble something about how the prices of avocados fluctuate even though they aren't included and actually cost $1.50 extra to add to your sandwich. Then stare at you awkwardly as you struggle with the cognitive dissonance of a polished, well-to-do looking restaurant employing desperate, Gordan Ramsey-wrath tactics that only seem to make sense if they're having trouble paying rent or think they're more exceptional than other restaurants that all deal with standard price fluctuations in the produce market. Which is exactly what happened. On top of that, the Hollywood was not great. It was basically a thick bed of shredded carrots with a few swipes of hummus as an afterthought. The Napa panini was genuinely good though. The beer was pricier than other bottle shops selling the same exact ones. We know this because later that day, we visited our local bottle shop. And remembering our experience here, as a sort-of-joke-but-not-really, we compared prices - not surprising. This place is all looks and no substance. It's weirdly shady, its sandwiches are inconsistent, and its pricing shenanigans make me wonder how they perceive their customers and what else they're up to.
google avatar

Kathleen D.

Yelp
Cheap bottles and cans? Yes, please. If you're headed to Spot and 21+, you should consider grabbing some beer to BYO. It's right across the street, after all. Rybrew has a solid selection of both local and national brews...for really great rates. I spent $6 on two cans recently. So nice. They also offer food but I haven't tried that yet. A visit to Brewerytown is complete when you stop here. Big fan.
google avatar

Shay V.

Yelp
The sandwich was just okay. I would return just to try other sandwiches since the reviews were so good. The outdoor seating was very nice!

Yelp
The Good: Atmosphere: Was perfect for a quaint bar/coffee shop. Nice blend of dive bar and coffee shop. Food: Great assortment of sandwiches, Paninis, and salads. I had the San Diego(Panini) which had some of the freshest pesto and sun dried tomatoes Beer Selection: Best word is Vast. I think they might carry every beer known to man The Bad: Nothing The Ugly: Nothing Five stars all around!
google avatar

Arvind V.

Yelp
Possibly my favorite sandwich spot in Philly. Located in Brewerytown, this place pretty much lets you make the sandwich of your dreams: never have I ever had the chance to jazz up a sandwich to my exact preferences, given I also tend to be a little picky when it comes to food. My go-to here is a jazzed up version of the Banh Mi with some nice Sourdough bread.
google avatar

Bharbhur S.

Yelp
Decent sandwich I had the Buffalo chicken and it was good. The only thing I didn't like was there was too much sauce. Otherwise it was good.
google avatar

Armine H.

Yelp
The sandwiches were fresh and very tasty. I highly recommend to try any of the Rybrew paninis . I loved them
google avatar

Yelp
A Brewerytown staple. Fantastic food with a great selection of beers. Rybrew nails the casual vibe with good drinks. Great seating options indoors and out, and one of the few remaining spots in Philly with shuffleboard!
google avatar

Diana S.

Yelp
Grabbed sandwiches for a pandemic picnic. They let me order and pay on the phone so I could just run in and pick up. The lady recommended 3 sandwiches and they were all good: a caprese, a buffalo, and something else that was really good. Highly recommend!!
google avatar

Michael S.

Yelp
Just had the roast beef sandwich and it was amazing. Large menu, delicious snacks including cupcakes and an even larger sandwich and salad selection. I will be back.
google avatar

Kellie F.

Yelp
This is my favorite local sandwich place. Everything is always tasty. My favorite is the Kansas City, which is a pulled pork sandwich with cabbage on it. I also like the Napa, which is a tomato, mozzarella and pesto panini. I've tried other sandwiches and salads and you really can't go wrong. Plus, while you're there you can have a draft beer or put together a 6-pack. They keep a good rotation of beers in stock.
google avatar

Victoria N.

Yelp
Went there to support a friend. The menu items looked great. Ordered a soup first to eat in. Tuscan bean with spinach. It was warm and filling. As we were finishing up I ordered a banh mi sandwich and a side of potato salad. Let's start with the salad that's flavorless unless you like potatoes and mayo. And smelled sour when I opened the takeout box. You can't taste the other ingredients. The banh mi was burnt, the pork was tough and flavorless. I should have just stuck with the soup cause the rest of my take home meal was trash. Big disappointment. The only reason I have two star is the staff is very friendly
google avatar

Allison S.

Yelp
The spot is great for a quick sandwich or a beer. There are a couple tables outside which usually there is one open. A great selection of beer and great worm sandwiches and chips for a quick lunch or meal on the girl.

Yelp
A few friends and I decided to take a spontaneous trip to Philly during a 3-day weekend. I had to endure a grueling 10hr bus ride without food so I was quite hangry when I arrived. It was that awkward time where it's too late for lunch and too early for dinner, but luckily this place was right next to where I was staying and didn't have those weird hours. The space isn't that large, even when taking the upstairs into account. Their menu is quite extensive, however, as is their beer selection. A good variety of both meat and vegetarian options. Don't forget about their specials on the board! The downstairs was full when we went so we had to go upstairs. Waiting for our sandwiches was the hardest part because all the smells traveled upward. Someone brought them up to us when they were ready and we got to chowing down. Kalamazoo - Roast beef, cheddar, lettuce, white onion, roasted red pepper, portobello, caramelized onion, honey mustard on brioche. This sandwich was loaded! I could only get through half, but every bite was a flavor explosion. The cheese was all melty, the bread nicely toasted, the veggies evenly spread. Yum! Sante fe - Portobello, squash, eggplant, caramelized onion, pesto, +/- cheese. When the veggie sandwich is better than the meat sandwich, you know you've got a winner. Java Head stout - Brewed with coffee beans. Tasted more like an IPA than a stout and couldn't really taste the coffee. Yards Brawler - We both liked this better. More effervescent and less hoppy. Overall, with delicious sandwiches and a wide selection of beers, this was a great way to start my weekend Philly trip!

Yelp
Cool little place. Just came for lunch. Great greeting when I walked in. Please was clean and organized. San Diego Panini w/caramelized onions...delish. Pesto was on point. I'll be back.

Yelp
Went here with a few friends on a Sunday afternoon. No wait at all and we were able to order right away. We got 4 different sandwiches and everyone loved them! I believe we all got paninis and that's what I would recommend! Great prices and a good variety of sandwich choices. Quick counter service but still a decent amount of room for eating in the restaurant. I ordered the Sante Fe panini (portobello, squash, eggplant, carmelized onion, pesto) but minus the onions and I added fresh mozzarella (delicious!) I loved the sandwich and it was good amount of food! My only complaint was the temperature. It was lukewarm throughout and cold in the middle. I also ordered cream of mushroom soup (also delicious) but this was served cold too. It was an easy fix, as I just asked the employees to heat the food up, but nonetheless I was surprised they would serve the food so cold. But otherwise, everything was great! Overall, I would recommend and am definitely planning to go again!

Yelp
Great food and friendly employees. Decent beer selection. Everything looked clean and orderly. Would def come back for lunch.
