We stopped in on our way to Sydney so my husband and son could drive the Mount Panorama track. Something they will remember forever. We stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment, which was amazing. Clean, modern and had a huge balcony overlooking the track. Definitely 5 star facilities. We had dinner at the restaurant which was fantastic, one of the best steaks I have ever had. All of the staff were very friendly and welcoming. A big shout out to Elle who was our waitress at the restaurant. Elle went above and beyond to make our trip special. Thank you Elle for your kindness and generosity, it is staff like yourself that keep customers returning. Overall, I cannot fault my stay. It was excellent. Well done!

This was a great hotel in a great location. My dad and I both love car racing and we were very happy to be able to see the track and pits etc. from the balcony of our room. We loved watching the kangaroos and birds as well. The room was lovely, very comfortable beds and a great little kitchenette. The bathroom was nice, although the way the shower opened meant you couldn’t put a bath mat down. Close enough to town to drive in for supplies. The restaurant was very expensive so we cooked in the room with no hassles. We would love to stay here again.

Complete disappointment tonight. 3 times confirmed resturant booking three times nobody said we weren't getting expected menu. Nobody cared. 10 year anniversary ruined which I had planned for months. Got a bottle of cheap wine for ruined night. Offered a meal in our room.. not special. Because it's bathurst we are trapped so disappointed and in tears.. I came with a smile and high hopes for an excellent weekend.I have excellent customer service history and the Maitre d did not address our situation with any compassion and made it seem we were stupid and unworthy.... so many of the staff are lovely but definitely not him. The bowls and glasses in our room are dirty when we tried to have an exciting popcorn dinner since we were hungry. I have been organising this for over a years an my partner has seen my ups and downs getting the room.. was going to do a family trip with my daughter and grandkids who were excited for us. We had trouble with our toilet and curtain and the wonderful Toni was the best thing there she fixed it xx

I had pretty high expectations for the Rydges because of their name and the price behind the rooms, but upon arriving here after a long day of travel, I was extremely disappointed. I forgot to take photos of everything, but my notes from start to finish are as follows: - The bath/shower combo was dirty around the edges and glass - One of the kitchen cabinets was not attached properly and had some sort of sticker residue on it - The kitchen bench top was cracked in 3 spots around the stove - The bath was cracked - The exhaust fan above the shower was full of dust - The shower was far too low/bath base too high as my partner’s head was about an inch from the ceiling; he’s about 6ft - The sink and shower drains were blocked, backing everything up into the floor drain - One of the bedside lamps didn’t work at all, tried both powerpoints - Edges of the floor and bench tops/surfaces were dusty - The air con was noisy, sounded like wind was rushing into it all night - We returned to the room on the second night to it smelling like sewerage, I assume because of the backed up drains - We were overcharged $100; this was an easy fix, but no accountability or explanation for the error was provided - Parking was extremely limited, thankfully the hotel was not packed. Fortunately, the bedding and towels were clean, but that is the only positive thing I can note from our experience. For about $260 per night, I was very disappointed; I could have picked another smaller hotel/motel/BNB for less cost and better facilities. A little bit more professionalism from the reception would also add a lot of value, instead of casual clothes and lack of enthusiasm. I thought we’d be safe going with the Rydges but that clearly isn’t the case.

We stayed here for a couple of days, expecting a great experience. However, it was just above average for our expectations. The hotel itself is old and feels more like a hostel. The room had a kitchen, which is a good advantage, but the setup is too old. The TV doesn’t have YouTube or any other streaming services because it’s not a smart TV. The cleanliness of the room was below average. The best part was the great view from the room. It was very close to Bathurst shops, just 10 minutes away.

On a return journey from a recent road trip, we spent two nights at Rydges, Mount Panorama. We are always happy with the service, rooms and location of this Hotel. We had a nice suite which included small kitchenette, lounge area with settee, dining table and chairs, very comfortable bed (the best on our trip), ensuite with spa bath and a balcony area. Also it has a separate toilet and laundry tub. A very nice suite which overlooks Mount Panorama Racing Circuit. The air conditioning in the suite worked well on the chilly Bathurst days. Our rate included breakfast, which includes much variety for your selection. We dined in the restaurant one evening. Over the years the meals in their restaurant have declined in variety. It is now more basic pub food, not fine dining. We found the staff at the breakfast serving to be friendly and obliging. We look forward to our next visit.

The room was lovely with a great view of the racetrack. It had a king size bed and a kitchenette with dishwasher (if needed). The bathroom is a good size. Our bath is not a spa bath but I think others are. Laundry and pool and gymnasium were on our floor however I was disappointed that the pool wasn’t open considering it was school holidays. We stayed 2 nights and on the 2nd night we went to Chicane’s. It was a little expensive but nice.

For a Rydges Hotel with a 4 star rating (apparently) this left a lot to be desired. Rooms are very old/tired and dirty, mould in the shower, chipped mirror, chipped bench top in kitchen, a shower exhaust that's never been cleaned. Rooms are not sound proofed. Hallway noisy, slamming doors and neighbours showers running. Also a communal balcony shared with all the neighboring rooms is the worst design choice ever. Can't ever have your blind open with people running up and down. Staff was disinterested in any type of greeting or service at the front desk. Car park incredibly tight and not secure. Wish I read the reviews before booking.

Yelp
Avoid Rydges Mount Panorama at all costs! I have never been so disgusted in all my life at a room, I am not the type of person to ever complain but this was beyond anything I've ever experienced at a hotel before. There were lipstick smudges and mystery splatters scattered on the walls and drawers but worst of all there was mould on EVERYTHING I had to check out and go elsewhere there is no way I could spend the night there. Told the receptionist and no one seemed to care, contacted via email on the website and no reply so contacted via facebook message and no reply.

Yelp
Planned a nice romantic weekend away. So paid that bit extra for a nice room at what is know as a land mark Australia wide. The spa jet switch was broken and leaked so only used it once. The sound of wind rushing under the door till I put a towel at the bottom of the door to stop the noise. When first arrive nice view of the track and mount till we smelt a bad smell. The drains cleared after running hot water then cold water to flush them it got better. Would I stay here again for the price NO. Have stayed in nice rooms for a lot less. Hope the shopping in Bathurst is better.
