We stayed here for a couple of days, expecting a great experience. However, it was just above average for our expectations. The hotel itself is old and feels more like a hostel. The room had a kitchen, which is a good advantage, but the setup is too old. The TV doesn’t have YouTube or any other streaming services because it’s not a smart TV. The cleanliness of the room was below average. The best part was the great view from the room. It was very close to Bathurst shops, just 10 minutes away.

On a return journey from a recent road trip, we spent two nights at Rydges, Mount Panorama. We are always happy with the service, rooms and location of this Hotel. We had a nice suite which included small kitchenette, lounge area with settee, dining table and chairs, very comfortable bed (the best on our trip), ensuite with spa bath and a balcony area. Also it has a separate toilet and laundry tub. A very nice suite which overlooks Mount Panorama Racing Circuit. The air conditioning in the suite worked well on the chilly Bathurst days. Our rate included breakfast, which includes much variety for your selection. We dined in the restaurant one evening. Over the years the meals in their restaurant have declined in variety. It is now more basic pub food, not fine dining. We found the staff at the breakfast serving to be friendly and obliging. We look forward to our next visit.

Unfortunately our experience was not great. Yes the rooms are spacious, but a bit grubby and tired. Needed a good vacuum around the edges. Service! Bed had the doona pulled up over wrinkled sheets, cups and glasses not washed up. Garbage bin not emptied. No shortage of towels though. Doubled up, why I have no idea. Catering 🥶. Unfortunately we dined there as a group on the first night. The food left quite a lot to be desired. Fortunately breakfast was passable, but then not much can go wrong. Except, no butter but vegetarian substitute, waffles so dried out and hard that the knife would not cut. The bar prices are quite high and ‘Happy Hour” applied to 2 different beers!” Think the whole place needs a bit of attention ad guidance

This place is huge! Location is the reason you stay here, right on the iconic Mount Panorama track. We had a std king studio and it was fine. Great view of the track, big sliding door to a balcony that runs past all the floor windows, so note it isn’t a private space. But did have some minor maintenance issues. And the bathroom smell issue. However, we enjoyed the stay, loved being on the track even though it wasn’t at race time. Can’t understand why they don’t have more reception staff working as it was so busy, as the place is very well patronised, and one poor employee is trying to do the lot. So patience needed. It is also adjacent to the motor museum. We dined elsewhere, bought our own food. Restaurant expensive. Has a microwave, hotplates, and plates cutlery etc. Agree with most, this place needs a good maintenance team, and more admin staff. But for Bathurst race enthusiasts, you couldn’t stay elsewhere if in Bathurst.

A very spacious hotel. The room was great and worth the price.. The pool was not open when we went there though. The buffet was not amazing though. I also wonder why a section of the dining area if closed even to hotel guests. The closed off section has all tables with complete utensil, napkins and condiments. Ours didn't.

This would be an amazing place to stay when the races are on, right on conrod straight, not far from pit lane. The room opens up to the balcony overlooking the racetrack. Beautiful views on both sides of the hotel. Stayed 4 nights on the second level. Room was clean and comfortable, though the bed was two singles pushed together that tended to drift apart when I lay in the middle. Cars and bikes doing laps of the racetrack can be noisy, though it wasn’t too bad. You’re a fair way out of town so you either have to drive into Bathurst for food or eat at the hotel’s restaurant which is very expensive for fairly basic food. Plenty of undercover parking is a plus in the frosty winter mornings. Far from perfect, but I’d stay again for sure.

While most people seem to find this hotel great, my personal experience differed. For me, three things are essential in any hotel: the bed, pillow, and shower. This was my first stay here, and unfortunately, the bed was too soft, sagging in the middle. If you have back pain, I wouldn’t recommend sleeping on it. The pillows were overly thick and firm, which wasn’t ideal for neck issues either. The shower was set inside the bathtub, and with only a third of a glass screen, water splashed everywhere, leaving the floor soaked. The vanity lighting wasn’t bright enough, especially for a clean shave in the morning. A surprising letdown was that the drinking water bottles weren’t free—seriously? Even regional motels usually provide two complimentary bottles per day. The TV wasn’t a smart TV, so no Netflix or YouTube. On the positive side, the cooktop and kitchen utensils were handy.

We booked mid week for two nights in a studio unit. There is plenty of under cover parking including several disabled spots, one immediately adjacent to the carpark entry to reception. The tariff was pretty reasonable and the location is excellent, particularly if you're a race car nut when a slow lap of the circuit sometime during your stay is mandatory.  Police radars are often in evidence so beware!||Our check in was smooth and uneventful and the receptionist was personable and helpful.||Our room was tidy, clean and well appointed although the furnishings and fittings are all getting a tad dated. The bed was however very comfortable and that's a major plus in my opinion.||The suite has a kitchenette with a full size fridge, microwave and cooktop, a dining setting for four and enough pots, pans and cooking utensils to cook up a storm. There is a three seater lounge, one arm chair  and a cozy dining setting for four. There are floor to ceiling windows with two central sliding doors along the front of the unit that faces the track. There are short pony walls that segregate the very large outside decks from the neighbours but the walls don't go all the way to the glass outter balustrade, enabling access to the entire expanse of deck that runs the length of the hotel. A real boon on race days no doubt!||The bathroom,  accessed via two large sliding doors, has a large corner spa, which we didn't try and a good size corner shower which, despite the leaky shower head that sprayed a constant stream of water onto the ceiling, put out a good supply of hot water. There is only one fixed shower head and no hand held head unfortunately. There are large pump bottles of body wash, shampoo and conditioner. ||There is also a second toilet off the hallway just inside the doorway.||Overall, a spacious suite. ||I understand from the new restaurant manager that the entire hotel is to be renovated over the next few months.|

Yelp
Avoid Rydges Mount Panorama at all costs! I have never been so disgusted in all my life at a room, I am not the type of person to ever complain but this was beyond anything I've ever experienced at a hotel before. There were lipstick smudges and mystery splatters scattered on the walls and drawers but worst of all there was mould on EVERYTHING I had to check out and go elsewhere there is no way I could spend the night there. Told the receptionist and no one seemed to care, contacted via email on the website and no reply so contacted via facebook message and no reply.

Yelp
Planned a nice romantic weekend away. So paid that bit extra for a nice room at what is know as a land mark Australia wide. The spa jet switch was broken and leaked so only used it once. The sound of wind rushing under the door till I put a towel at the bottom of the door to stop the noise. When first arrive nice view of the track and mount till we smelt a bad smell. The drains cleared after running hot water then cold water to flush them it got better. Would I stay here again for the price NO. Have stayed in nice rooms for a lot less. Hope the shopping in Bathurst is better.
