Great bakery with real food made from real ingredients. Wide selection of pastries from standard croissants to lots of unusual ones. Great coffee. Really buzzy atmosphere Fantastic little play area that I wish I'd lived near when my kids were babies. So a great mum meeting place.

I love Rye. Not only is it the most beautiful setting in a converted church (complete with a play area that will make it the favour cafe in Frome for parents), but the care and craft poured into the food is tremendous. We enjoyed a sausage and egg cobb roll (cooked so well that the egg yolk was satisfyingly dripping down the side), a bacon sandwich on deliciously thin focaccia, and still walked out laden with bags of pastries (do not, under any circumstances, skip the morning bun and cinnamon bun). Any time we're passing through, it will be first on our list.

I organised a casual birthday lunch for my 30th at the Rye Bakery. They were wonderful at accommodating a group of 10 and 2 babies on a busy Sunday. The food was delicious and the cake I ordered liked by all. Thank you to the cafe for making it a special day 😊

Voted as one of Britain’s best bakeries and I can see why! The bacon sandwich was amazing as was the coffee. Worth the trip if you are in the area

Visited on a busy market day. Understandably service would be a little bit hectic however service at the till was really not up to standard. No manners, no smiles, just trying to churn your order in and out. I took my pastry back as it clearly had a hair baked into it, the lady at the till brushed it off very quickly without apology and just said it was from the syrup used - it was definitely a hair, no apology, no attempt to change it, and it wasn’t even checked over to see the hair. Coffee was okay, possibly a one shot but couldn’t see anywhere that stated. Was also told at the till that they only use semi skinned milk and not whole milk, as an FYI. The tea mug was also dirty. The other pastries we had were nice and the business is clearly booming which is good to see for an independent. We visited the pizza and wine bar which we enjoyed and this had much better service than the coffee shop.

The best cafe in the whole Frome and for many reasons. Fantastic service. Delicious coffee, incredible pastries and food! If you don’t visit Rye Bakery Cafe when visiting Frome, you’re missing out! As a dad I appreciate the vast amount of space and small children’s play area. Great way for the children to play with others and to meet new parents!

A beautiful church converted into a cafe - plenty of seating, kids play area, good selection of brunch, coffee and pastries to choose from. Friendly and welcoming staff with attentive service. All the food we tried was delicious and big portions too. Would definitely revisit when in Frome.
