Finding the place is easy. Limited street parking. It has seating inside and out. Lots of natural sunlight, cute decor and a large menu. All the food looked good and interesting. The cafe does table service and also offers takeaway. We ordered our food and got our drinks within 10 mintues. The server we had was also quite pleasant. The food came out piping hot and looked amazing. The flavours were pretty good, coffee was nice but nothing special. I would recommend checking it out.

An absolute gem of a place! Very authentic Scandi menu. We took both our two children and sat up at a high top table and all read books and newspapers whilst we enjoyed breakfast. Everything we ordered was delicious :-) A lovely ambience and felt very comfortable to linger and enjoy the space. Fantastic and friendly service whilst also being very attentive. We will definitely be back :-)

Soooooo disappointing! We have been here several times as the food is interesting and generally good. However, today, my turmeric latte came out as a flat white coffee and my lamb shoulder as a pork burger!!!! The cod dish for my wife was not served with the burger, but about 20 minutes after…… absolutely rubbish service which majorly detracted from the interesting menu and historically great experiences we have had. Pick up your game guys as you have a really cool concept restaurant.

Love their outdoor sitting with Autumn breeze, enjoying my cup of skim latte (even better in extra hot). Very tasty Soup of the day - creamy cauliflower onion & leek soup, side with sourdough bread. Great light lunch for small eater. Friendly staffs.

The food here is decent. I had a large cup of flat white brewed with their buttercup blend. I found it to be fragrant and tasting of nuts, although slightly bitter. I also had the Bacon and Egg Roll, the egg yolk was creamy.

Rye is a pretty popular cafe located in Braddon. The atmosphere and design of the venue is modern and homely. I had the spiced baked eggs and added toasted sourdough. Firstly, there definitely wasn’t enough eggs in the dish - there may have only been one. There was also too much goats cream and the lentils didn’t really add much overall. I felt quite bloated and uncomfortable for the many hours after finishing the meal. The toast (with eggs) was too chewy. The coffee was not bad though and service was to standard.

Where else does a VIKING go for breakfest then a nordic cafe. And WOW. Firstly the cafe isn't overly nordic but the menu certainly is nordic inspired. The service was alittle slow but staff were very friendly and happy. The food was really tasty, plentiful and the combination of flavours were really good. The coffee, I had the MAGIC, which was meant to be their strongest coffee, it was lacking alittle bit. But the taste was there. Will certainly visit again next time im in canberra to try some other items on the menu.

Staff are friendly, coffee and food are decent. The coral trout was cooked perfectly. They seem ethical as they pay their staff more on Sundays. They also cater to dietary requirements.

Yelp
This is a great cafe on Lonsdale Street. I have been in for lunch a few times and always delicious. It is a lovely place to sit and watch the world go by. My favourite thing is probably Smorrebord, open sandwiches. I have had the salmon with egg, dill and mayonnaise. They can come with a side salad, today I had a delicious salad of raw greens, nuts and currants. Coffee is excellent. They also have a nice list of wine and beers. I think they are open later on Fridays and hope to drop in for after work drinks sometime soon!

Yelp
Great place for all day breakfast in the city. Plenty of bacon, fried eggs, grilled halloumi and the biggest field mushroom I've ever seen. My companion enjoyed her smashed avo & poached eggs on dark rye with broad beans, peas, feta & dukkah .

Yelp
Had breakfast here on a Sunday morning and were lucky to snag the last table, Coffee was fresh and tasty, the service was fantastic. The menu was a little lacking in something inspiring so I went with Eggs on toast with a side of Avo and Halloumi. Their gluten-free bread was surprisingly light in a way most GF breads are not, made specifically by three mills bakery.

Yelp
Nicely put together cafe however: Staff were poorly trained, didn't bring menus until we asked, had to come back to check a coffee order twice (Capp and a latte), brought one coffee then a 5-10 minute wait for the next. My cappuccino was a flat white with chocolate on top- no foam to speak of. Food followed a similar pattern, with one meal brought out well before the other. The ingredients are high quality and my eggs were poached well, however the bacon was poorly rendered and fatty. When I approached the counter to ask for salt and pepper I interrupted a personal conversation and was treated as such. For the price I think it is fair to expect better. They have a lot to learn.
